UD Wednesday--Hallelujah!!!

After a day of potatoes, I am truly thankful for today!

B-Coffee w/lots of cream (210, estimate), 2 cups with approx 3 T of cream @35 cals each

blueberry bran oatmeal (160)

red velvet "jelly" cake (It wasn't all eaten yesterday!! Haha! was on the table in our staff kitchen yesterday) (tried to look up the calories and am coming up with 400!!! It was a teeny slice and did NOT taste like that many cals.)

Subtotal = 770

UD (doing a potato day since I had good luck yesterday with a Potato DD)
B - hash browns with ketchup
L - baked potato with salsa and malt vinegar
S - fried potato slices
D - baked potato with salsa
more hashbrowns if needed to make calories

I planned on having a regular UD, after doing potatoes yesterday, but then had potatoes for b-fast

b-2 lc tortilla shells with scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon bits, hot sauce, sour cream and hash browns=two amazing breakfast burritos!
l-stuffing with chicken breast mixed in
s-going to one of my favorite restaurants, a local pizza place that has amazing pizza (and I normally don't even like pizza). I will go all out here so saving around 1,000 calories to pig out And it's even more special because we're going, to celebrate my mil's last radiation treatment which takes place today

Library, no potatoes for today, hmmm?

Not sure what I'm doing today. I have a dental appt at lunch time so it's messing me up. The nerve! So far I've just had coffee w/ some skim milk & 2 scrambled eggs w/ a bit of cheese. Might eat out for lunch after the dentist!

I'm so curious to see how this potato fast works out for all of you trying it.

Today is my first UD after a DD and I really thought I'd be starving and happy to eat all sorts of things. But I found my breakfast incredibly filling, even tho it's less food than I've been eating normally. Not sure I'll even be hungry by my lunch break. I can only hope this feeling lasts through my DD tomorrow.

Today I had: lemon ricotta pancakes and turkey sausage, and 3 cups of coffee with half n half.

Going to eat some nuts later to make sure I get close to my 2000 calories for the day. Do all of you try to get close to your max calories on UD's?

I have eaten a little under my UD calorie allotments before, but I'm not having any problems today!!! I'm at 1140 and haven't eaten lunch yet! Hahahahah! I'm not going to starve today, that's for sure!

Mom23, what a good thing to celebrate. Hope its all happy new here on out for your MIL.

I'm feeling kinda funky today, not sick, but not great like I felt yesterday. On my UD so far i've had my ever present mocha with HWC and CO, scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and an OMM with SF jam. Probably about 7-800 cals. I'll calculate in a while.

Maybe its from having so much fat after just a little yesterday. I dunno.

Thanks everyone! She's very happy to be done-it's been a rough three months (we found out about her cancer Labor Day weekend). There's still a chance she'll have to do chemo down the road, but for now she's done (well as of 4:30 this afternoon ).

Sara, that's awesome news!

I had a dr. appt. this morning, so fasted until afterward since I suspected they'd want blood, and they DID!

B: Santa Fe turkey burger, no cheese, add jalapenos, black coffee (420)
L: Small Wendy's chili w/habanero sauce (210)
D: No idea yet. I have to get meds filled after work (antibiotics - hello weight gain!) so I'll probably pick up something for the kid and me. DH is pretty much living on cottage cheese and t.v. dinners (1/2 an entree at a time).

How is DH doing Dawn? Is he feeling good and okay with how he's eating? If it's too nosy, just ignore me.

He's doing well, and learning what he can and cannot tolerate now that he's able to have some solid(ish) food again. He can eat poached eggs, or eggs scrambled with a little sausage, but plain scrambled eggs don't work for him. Dairy has been no issue, thank goodness. His main focus is trying to keep the protein and hydration up, but he's really doing well. Today was weigh-in day and he lost 5 pounds since last Wednesday! He was disappointed.

ETA: 45 pounds total in 3 weeks!

Yeah, 5 pounds in one week, what a failure . I'm glad to hear he's doing well and figuring it all out. Wow, with WLS and JUDDD, your grocery bills are going to be slashed!

Wow, Dawn, that's pretty awesome for your dh!! I hope the weight loss is helping him. And, I bet you *are* saving money, lol.

I am happy to report that I am finally satiated. I was unable to finish a bag of pretzels with my lunch, haha. However, I will still make my UD calories because I have been eating non-stop up until now. I'm at about 1500 so far, and will either get in the extra through wine (hello, Dawn!) or some food/cream/coffee. Gosh it feels good to be full.

haha, yes it is a good thing!! I haven't felt this ravenous, or ate this much, since I've been JUDDDing. Not even on Thanksgiving. I think I've been shortchanging myself on UD's and thus having a really hard time of DD's.

I just had a silly image in my head of a Monty Python movie clip, "Just a wafer thin mint".

Well, I'll be very interested in seeing what the scale says tomorrow morning-I ate almost an entire pizza tonight In my defense it wasn't a 'normal' pizza- the crust was very thin, almost like a tortilla shell, and there was almost no sauce. Toppings were pepperoni, cheese, mushroom and green pepper. We went to a local pizza place that's pretty famous around here-it's normal to order a pizza per person (my 4 yr old ate almost a whole cheese one!). I actually don't feel overly full/bloated

Predicting an epic boing tomorrow lol.

LOL! The scale will go back down after your next DD! I'm expecting my scale to do the same BOING tomorrow. Oh well...as long as it eventually slowly eeks downward, it's all good!

just found your journal and popped in, hope that's ok!
