I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Hi all,

I have been MIA for a while, but just wanted to drop in.

My family was lucky enough to go home to Vietnam for three weeks during October. And though it is a country that's getting caught up with new technology and American trends, it's got along way to go. We had rolling blackouts, and low levels of wi-fi, which amounted to no posts or accoutability for myself.

Came back and restarting JUDDD.
I am up 9 lbs from the three weeks of eating whatever I wanted/was given

Hoping to get back down to 135 lb

and luckily to reiterate what many others have posted, i'm not mad or beating myself up for the weight gain. It was alot of fun and i would have never been able to go if i had continued down the low carb path.

Anyhow, sorry for the long post, making time to catch up on all the fun things i missed.

Have a great day!

Welcome back! That trip sounds wonderful, and so glad you were able to go! I'm sure it'll feel good to get back to JUDDD and rotations.

Thank you all for the support and kind welcome.
We have family in Vietnam and Cambodia, so i spent half my time in bouth countries and it was amazing.
It's good to be back where I can properly weigh and measure my foods.
My first DD was pretty rough, but I think i've gotten back into the swing of things.

Welcome back! How wonderful to get to visit family and heritage.

A few DDs will melt those pounds away. (I speak from experience)

Welcome back, like you say if you'd been doing LC it would have been so much tougher.

I went to Cambodia back in 93 and got to Burma last year. But we really wan to go to Vietman.

Thank you all for the warm wishes.

Cindy and Dawn, I definitely agree you should try Vietnam at least once.

The people are really friendly and most everywhere you go they have English speakers who are willing to help.

I can't wait to go again next year.

And the food was great, I definitely wouldn't recommend the most of the American food the try to imitate, but if you go for good authentic Vietnamese food, you will have a grand time.

The best way to explore is to just GO. Eat at restaurants at busy restaurants and you will not fail.

The transistion from stuffing my face back to the JUDDD way was easy thank goodness.

I urge anyone who wants to go, to please go to Vietnam. You won't regret it.
