76 pounds gone - just over 100 more to go!

One of my goals was to get to 75 pounds lost before Thanksgiving, and I just made it, after a 2 week mini-stall. I'm so excited this morning! I usually don't weigh after an UD, but it was my last chance before Thanksgiving, so I went for it, and boy am I glad I did!

I'm so pleased, and when I think about those 76 pounds, they seem huge. Then sometimes when I think of how far I still have to go, celebrating this seems premature. I'm still very fat. Still just over the morbidly obese category. But somehow, I know that this time I'm going to make it to goal. Hopefully by this time next year, I'll be in normal sizes, and while probably not quite to goal, feeling normal-sized again. I'm really looking forward to that.

I'm also really looking forward to counting down with a 2 digit number instead of a three! 99 pounds to go will feel a lot better than 102.5 to go! That'll be happening within the next couple of weeks, and then lower and lower and lower. Psyched!

I also, just yesterday, fit into my size 24, non-elastic waist jeans! They're just snug, and I definitely won't be wearing them for Thanksgiving (no elastic!

) but that's a big deal too.

I'm going to enjoy my Thanksgiving dinners (2 days in a row) and not worry about carbs, calories, or anything. Just enjoying my family and friends, and savoring the tastes and smells and textures.

Thanks to all of you for your strength, support, fun, humor, kidding, encouragement...I could go on and on. Just thanks.

LoCal, this is a journey and you have just passed two huge signposts:

You reached your intermediate goal on schedule and after an UD! Instead of panicking for fear of losing that goal, you are going to have an extended guilt-free totally wonderful Thanksgiving (secretly looking forward to the magic of that next DD?)

This is CAUSE for celebration! I am dancing all over the house for you!

LCG!!!! That is a GREAT achievement, a real milestone, and I'm sure it feels great to set a goal and reach it, just in time for everyone to see you and for you to relax for a couple days too!

I'm right with you on the weight-- we're about the same height, and after I lose my vacation bloat

we'll be about the same weight, so I totally feel you about where you are and where you want to be.

One step at a time, we'll get there!
