Thanksgiving Eve-what's your DD food plan for today?

What's your DD plan for today?

I'm going to try and have a really good DD, to offset some of the weight I've gained by adding carbs back into my diet. Small portions today-

chicken broth

small Wendy's chili

more chicken broth

diet hot cocoa x2

veggie soup

330 calories

B - Starbucks skinny peppermint mocha (which btw is )

L - soup & a veggie if there's one in the cafe that I like!

D - casein shake.

IDK if it's that i'm tired or I am getting sick (everyone around me at work has had a cold in the past week...) but I feel like such a slug and want to eat everything.

Can I go back to bed yet?

What???!!! I love my skinny lattes from Starbucks. I had a skinny peppermint mocha yesterday. I just keep stirring it so the stuff doesn't all go to the bottom of the cup. LOL! Hey, it's a treat to me, what can I say? I haven't had the regular stuff in years...probably don't wanna know how good that would be.

I hear you on going back to bed. I am sucking down coffee with a grumbly tummy still. I'm super tired today, did not want to get up this morning!

Sara, yum on the Wendy's chili! My fav!

I'm trying to fast until dinner, that's my plan anyways. I want to have a nf greek yogurt w/ blackberries at that point and call it a day. Might have some diet cocoa if I need to this evening. We shall see!

You got me hooked on the chili I got it yesterday to try it and I'm getting it again today lol. I thought it was a bit bland-didn't even think about adding hot sauce to it Will do that today!

They have hot chili seasoning packets (oily) that are 5 calories per packet and they're actually pretty good. On a DD, I bring my TJ's habanero hot sauce (listed as 0 calories) just because I love it spicy, and to save a few calories. I'm a bit OCD that way.

I'm going through drive through so I'll just use the hot sauce I have at home, which is zero calories They gave me cracker packets with it yesterday-I need to make sure to say no crackers today, because crackers and chili are my weakness

You know, I wonder if there's a Wendy's chili recipe out there - if so, i'm crockpotting it and making a batch for the month! We'll have to change the name from JUDDD to "the every other day chili diet"

i think the site is called recipesecrets where you can get recipes for resturants. i found paula deens roast recipe there and....yummm! as for my DD for today, i am going to coffee and water it today reminding myself of the 5million calories i will eat tomorrow! i so loooooovvvve stuffing, i make stuffin muffins, so i will eat most of thoses haha!

Stuffin muffins! Oh I love that idea! I was just saying last night, of all the T-Day goodies, I think the dressing (we call it) is the ultimate yum! So, do you just make it up, put it in the muffin tin, and bake it? You're a genius!

i stole the idea from rachael ray (just love her!). but yes make your stuffin as you normally would then mix in an extra 1/4 cup of broth and 2 eggs then put in a greased muffin tin til top is crunchy. they are the best!

OMG I am so hungry today! I was going to try and fast today but I don't know if I'm gonna make it! Worst case, small salad at some point, I guess.

I've never had a Wendy's chili..I may have to try it, there's one literally around the corner from me.

Flutter~ I like the skinny peppermint mocha's but maaaaaann, the "regular" is total amazeballs!

Ditch the salad and go get yourself some chili I just finished it and it was really good with added hot sauce A small is also quite a bit and is really filling!

Yanno, i would but I don't wanna leave the house The plan was to park my behind on the sofa for awhile today.... I was plannin on leaving exactly once today....later...to take DD16 to work and that's it. ...
however....I may be pushed to hit the drive thru if I can't get rid of this insane rumble in my gut

Editing to add in Pop chips at lunch. After having wonderful salt & vinegar kettle chips yesterday in UD, having salt & vinegar pop chips on a DD is a total tease. Note to self: stop eating the diet food - it all tastes terrible!

Katie, yea, I admit that there are times I'm not as in love with the peppermint version as the others...however, it's the holidays! I love me some peppermint...and Jessica, no way will I try the regular version! I'd just want it all the time then...that'd be bad!

Wendy's chili...it has been a staple of mine since 2005 when I first started doing south beach diet. Oh how I love it! Yum yum and yum!

Steph bah humbug indeed! I'm with ya...but if I did mini meals, it'd be worse. I'm so much hungrier when I eat something!

Holding strong with the fast here...drinking some sobe water and getting ready to drag my gang out for photos. haha, that should be fun. (I love to torture teens & tweens! especially when I'm hungry!) <evil laugh>

No Thanksgiving for me, I feel a little jealous.

I have had 2 small cappuccinos and child' tuna sandwich while out all day.

Then home to a glass of red wine, (don't ask). Now 2 slices of toast with butter and Marmite.

I think 450 cals.

Well my plan went in a different direction today-got really hungry this afternoon for pizza, which I don't even like

Wendy's chili
diet hot cocoa x2
'pizza' concoction-LC tortilla shell, light cheese spread, pizza sauce, mushrooms and spices
which brings me to around 365 calories. I might have a pickle or chicken broth later today, but I think I'm about done-feel super stuffed right now!

wendy's chili

Ingredients

2 pounds freshly ground beef
4 cups (1 quart) tomato juice
1 (29-ounce) can tomato purée
1 (15-ounce) can red kidney beans, drained
1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans, drained
1 medium onion, chopped (about 1½ cups)
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup chili powder (you may want to use less)
1 teaspoon cumin (if you like real flavor, add more)
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

In a frying pan, brown the ground beef, then drain off the fat. Put the beef and the remaining ingredients into a 6-quart pot. Cover the pot and let the chili simmer for 1 to 1½ hours, stirring every 15 minutes. You an also put this in the crock pot on low for 3 to 4 hours while the chili simmers.

Tope secret: You really want to make this taste like wendys chilli. Use that burger meat and burn it. Not like charcoal it to the points its no good just burn it enough so that its black on the outside. Then freeze it over night. The next day boil the meat til its tender, drain and then chop. This is how its done in the store.

Dang, can't believe it, but I never ate anything today! Coffee all morning and then I ended up getting a medium skinny latte while out...that's all I had. I'm not even hungry. (and I'm making rolls & sweet potato casserole for tomorrow as I type!)

Huh. These down days are wacky!

Well I had 110 cals to play with left, and I am drinking a glass of wine. The cals went a little over because I ended up tasting both the batter and the icing of the cupcakes I made tonight. Oops! I had the stuff all over my hands and yes I could have washed them without licking them like a starving fool ( ), but I didn't. I'm glad I didn't lie to bf and say I hadn't tasted anything, because when he came into the kitchen to inspect my handiwork he pointed out, "You've got stuff all over your face."
