I have a thigh gap (can't see it in the pictures, but it's really there!), and my face and neck are starting to look a bit older than I like. It probably doesn't help that I'm letting my grey grow out either.

Anyway, I went back and looked at my stats. On September 22 (the date my last avatar picture was taken), I was 187.8 pounds. This morning, when the new pictures were taken, I was 177.4 pounds. That's only around 10 pounds difference, but I see a lot of difference in my pictures. My original goal was 175, but I lowered it to 160 because of the extra I'm still carrying around my waist and thighs.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should stick with my original goal of 175 and then work on toning for a while and see what that does to my tummy/thighs. I've just started jogging (sort-of), and that may still cause me to lose a little, but maybe 160 is too low for me at my age and height? Honest opinions are welcomed and requested.

Here's my last avatar picture for comparison. What say the JUDDD BUDDDs?
Hi Dawn

I am pretty much in the same boat as you. I have set my goal at 175, at least for now. I reached 175.8 today I just needed to see the 175

I have a post about some issues I have & some pics...these pics are NOT pretty...just a warning! And these were about 16-20 lbs. ago...and I have done a lot of re-shaping since then, my tummy is so much flatter now & a lot of the hip pudge/thighs has disappeared...I will try to post an updated pic. I do not feel that I have that much skin to be cut off...so I wrestle with my mind if I want to drop lower, perhaps to 160-165ish. Either way...I am going to maintain through the holidays & re-evaluate after the New Year.

Of course, I deal with a LOT of friends/families wanting to know when I'm stopping b'cuz I look too thin right niow They just don't see me w/o clothes

Here is the link:
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/hc...-too-thin.html

If you are still losing well...try 5 more lbs. If it's a struggle...then your body may be needing a break...perhaps after the holidays!!!

You look fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!

Angela, thank you for posting that link. You are a true inspiration, and I love that you have the courage to help others with your story! I feel very fortunate with what I've lost and even with my loose, saggy skin. I almost feel it's my badge of honor, though I'll never wear a bikini again! At this point, I almost feel like anything else is vanity, but I'm okay with being a little vain.

Please keep us updated with your journey, and if/when you have the lift, let us know how it goes! I'm really interested. WTG on hitting 175 today! You totally !

TY Dawn! I will certainly keep everyone updated. I plan on being around more starting Monday, after transition off of HCG this weekend.

Just wonderin'...do the maintainers post weights daily in the general chats...or is there a long-lost maintenance thread?...I haven't seen one.

Thanks!!!

You look gorgeous Dawn! My DH tells me my arms are too skinny, and that he shouldn't be able to get his hands around them. LOL (he exaggerates) Although you don't look like you need to lose another ounce, you know whats best for you. I am planning on starting a work out routine that consists of cardio and resistance training. Resistance training will help firm/tone up those trouble spots.

You look great, Dawn. Are you getting a lot of double takes with people who haven't seen you in a while? (I'm going back to read the thread now so disregard if that's already been asked.)

Here is the link to the November maintainer's thread.

No one has posted there in days and days.

I guess that celebrates one of JUDDD's greatest strengths. Many of us, while we are losing, spend a lot of time experimenting with what to eat, how much to eat, when to eat, and how to handle vacations and special celebrations. Many of us even put ourselves into maintenance for awhile before we actually reach goal. This seems to remove a lot of the angst. The transition from weight loss mode to weight maintenance is not uncharted territory, is very natural and smooth.

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Hi Speck and Marie! It's good to "see" you here. Thanks!

Jennifer, sadly I'm sort of a hermit. I only have a couple of good friends, and rarely see them. One I haven't seen since October, and the other since February, so I'm not sure how they'll react when they see me. I almost never "run into" someone who knows me. I see the same people at work all the time, then my daughter's day care, then home. I'm super boring!

I do have a coworker from another office who comes in once a month or so. He told me on Friday to stop losing because I'm getting too thin. Then I had a haircut yesterday, and my stylist who sees me once a month or so, said the same thing. So they knew who I am, but noticed my progress because they don't see me every day. It's a great feeling, even though I know I could lose some more. I also know I could be content where I am.
