Your DD food plan for Tuesday?

It's my third DD today and I'm hoping it goes smoother than my first two! I'm going to try and save my calories for later in the day, plus break them up into several small portions of different things. Before I was still trying to do 'three meals' and it didn't work out very well. Maybe DD's work better with a grazing/snacking format? We'll see how it goes :)

protein shake
110 calories

vegetable soup
50 calories

2 fat free Hebrew National hotdogs and mustard
90 calories

2 Dutch crisps and cream cheese
115 calories

broth 1 cup with crazy salt
10 calories

1/2 serving almonds
85 calories

460 calories

zipp2play 11-13-2012 06:14 AM

Cottage cheese
Ham/Egg pockets
salad
protein and veggies

Goal is around 800c!

soon 11-13-2012 06:14 AM

Librarygirl 11-13-2012 06:48 AM

I have had a cup of greek yogurt so far...about two sips of coffee this morning, which I dumped unceremoniously and I'm not counting it. :D - 80

Broccoli and baby carrots with yogurt dressing...101

2 slices of deli turkey, pickle spear, laughing cow cheese - 80

cucumber sliced with salt and pepper - 16

Supper: TBD--Chicken noodle soup (180 cals)...

Total, approx 452...leaves room for maybe a coconut fruit bar (so yummy!!!) at 120 cals

adillenal 11-13-2012 07:08 AM

DD
B - 2 eggs + 1 egg white, 1 T SF marmalade, coffee with HWC ( 230)
L - turkey slices and pickle spears (80)
D - HB egg, broth (80)
Total 390

Zib 11-13-2012 07:42 AM

I'm thinking about turning my DD into a 40% day. I donate platelets tomorrow and haven't yet figured out if donating after a DD or UD is better.

So probably:

NF Greek Yogurt with a beet salad I made (about 300 as the salad has olive oil)
Pizza on whole grain tortilla with NF feta and deli sliced chicken breast (165)
Repeat (165)
Oatmeal, plain (100)

730 cals

svenskamae 11-13-2012 07:43 AM

I'm having friends come for dinner, even though it's a down day, so I'm only eating dinner. Water and green tea before then. Dinner: Small serving of lean beef chili with a little sour cream, mixed raw vegetable salad with no dressing. Possibly a cup of tea or coffee with 1 T. cream before I go to bed. I think I can keep my food intake under 500 calories, so I will count this as a down day rather than a medium day.

Dottie 11-13-2012 07:45 AM

Sill trying for high fat so my DD's are a little higher than the standard 500

220 cals of sausage (HEB chicken and poblano sausage) ;
100 cals chicken wings (2 wings sections) ;
100 cals heavy cream (2T) ;
120 cals macadamia oil (1T) ;
100 cals veggies (1 cup cabbage and 1.5 romaine lettuce hearts)
Coffee and tea along with water

canadiangirl 11-13-2012 08:05 AM

B- Sipping on a couple coffees this morning, each with 1 tsp splenda and 1 tbs 10% cream 44 calories
L- Likely won't have this until between 2pm and 3pm, BPC (1 raw egg, .5 scoop whey, .5tbs butter) 186 calories
D- Veggie Stir Fry (10 asparagus spears, 10 mushrooms, 1 medium red pepper, 2 tbs sodium reduced soy sauce) 145 calories

Lots of water!!!

Total calories 375 (puts me at exactly 20%) Total Carbs 21g (which almost all come from the veggies at dinner) I love the "light" feeling on a DD :)

what protein shake do you use? The lowest one I've been able to find is 100 calories per serving.

after reading your plan I had to go eat a pickle spear  It really hit the spot for something crunchy and it was only 10 calories :)

handbells 11-13-2012 09:28 AM

So far I've had an egg cream (1/2 cup egg whites, 1 whole egg, Diet Dr Pepper)

Starting to get a bit peckish, so I think I'll have some poke (sashimi grade tuna with soy sauce and seasonings)

Nothing else

ouizoid 11-13-2012 09:57 AM

sara--I buy NOW protein powder and weigh out 50 calories worth. I put it in a blender bottle with a 1/2 packet of crystal lite and a tsp of glucomannan powder. When ready, I add water and shake. very filling for 50 cals.

Kissa 11-13-2012 10:10 AM

B
L 3 grilled sardines, new potatoes, rocket salad, and some salsa. Diet coke.
D
S coffee with creamer

Went to the pub for lunch but very pleased with my choice. Looks like it was around 400.

Lil Donna 11-13-2012 10:42 AM

It is 12:37pm now and I am trying to hold off as long as possible before my first bite of food. My stomach is making some loud noises so I'm thinking it may be sooner rather than later. It didn't help that I went grocery shopping today. Somebody remind me to NEVER go grocery shopping on a DD!!!

Lunch: tunafish with LC mayo 135
LC crackers 80

Dinner: open faced sandwich (55)
with pretzels (100) or a chocolate covered banana (130)

Trying to stay right at 400 calories today.

I bought those cheddar cheese Magic POPS and they are just strange. I sampled them at the store. What do you put on them?

Thanks! I'll have to look into the NOW powder :)

Kissa 11-13-2012 12:03 PM

Nothing I've ever heard of either LGirl, but who are we to judge?:high5:

Add 96 calories, caved in while cooking beef sausages for DH.

Change of plans, wasn't hungry at lunch time so decided to save those calories for dinner. I may add 3 small fillets of white fish to my stir fry (70 calories) fried in 1 tsp butter. This will put my total calories at only 312, 16% of my daily requirements! Not to say I won't munch after dinner on maybe an extreme pickled bean or a couple of olives but definately going to be able to stay under 20%

mom23kids 11-13-2012 03:52 PM

I did really well today with sticking to my plan, except for a half piece of rogue bacon that jumped out of my fridge and attacked me while I was getting my vegetable soup out  :o I had 40 calories to spare of my 500 goal and hopefully the bacon didn't put me over!

Almost 7pm and NO headache :jumpjoy:

TryingJudd 11-13-2012 03:55 PM

B- nope
L- 2 cups romaine with a drizzle of ceaser dressing (40) cup of pickles (18)
D - 2 oz lobster meat (54) , greek yogurt with sf peach cup (125) and a cup of cherry tomatoes (27)
Total = 262 cals

I think I know that piece of bacon! Or maybe its cousin. I must be a bacon magnet. I love it, and it loves me! Mmmmmmm.......bacon........

Luv2Eat 11-14-2012 02:05 AM

Sara, you are so funny about the bacon attack :hyst:
I'm so happy for you that your DD experience has improved! I predict your tenacity will be rewarded :high5:

No movement on the scale this morning but I couldn't believe how thin I looked this morning :jumpjoy: My stomach hasn't looked this flat since before I started having kids :D

I'm having lots of bacon for breakfast this morning lol.

Bows1 11-14-2012 04:16 AM

Good morning! I got so totally spoiled in October (my first day was the 17th) after losing *so* fast! But I looked at the weigh-ins and I am just normal now. :) Here's my DD:

coffee w/ 1 egg and T of butter, lil bit of creamer (211)
just water through lunch (busy work day makes that easier!)
maybe a piece of light string cheese and a SF popsicle or 2 (70)

Total: 281

I blend it together with my stick blender. Can't taste the egg at all :) Makes a nice protein shake. There's a thread floating around somewhere with all sorts of egg cream recipes.
