Why don't you count your BPC? I am reading the forums feverishly trying to figure out my first DD tomorrow!

Well, I don't have any scientific evidence to support me here, but there has been speculation on this board (don't know exactly where...sorry!) that 100% fat calories don't signal the body that the fast has ended, and so you may not have to count these fat calories. As long as all you have is fat, first thing in the morning, and then don't eat any calories for several hours after.

I've experimented with this high fat DD thing a couple of times and had a nice whoosh from it. I can't do this every DD. I think it would get too boring, plus sometimes there's just yummy food I can eat smaller amounts of on DDs that I want to have. But it's kind of a take on Nutritional Ketosis, or like an Atkins Fat Fast concept.

If you're just starting out on JUDDD, I'm not sure it would be the way to go. I didn't try it until I was a month or so in. Some have great success with high fat, and others have problems. YMMV, I'm sure.

Thanks, that makes a certain kind of sense. I'm sure I would want to try it too...but maybe after the scale starts moving, to the left.
