Yes it is a long shift! I work in a group home and I am house leader on weekends. Thankfully I have access to the kitchen and prepare all the meals so I can always come up with something that I can enjoy also.

I was planning to do today as a down day, but then my supervisor wanted to take me out to lunch, so I guess this will end up as a medium day. So far, I've had a cup of coffee with 1 T. HWC (breakfast) and reasonably low-carb (no rice, no bread, no sugar, no potatoes) choices from an Indian restaurant lunch buffet to fill 1 plate for lunch. I'll try to keep to just water and green tea for the rest of the day, and count this as a medium day.
I have social obligations for dinner on Saturday and Tuesday, so I'm trying to figure out how to manage up/down/medium days for the next few days. I guess I'll just do the best I can, which may mean some medium days (medium dinner only day on Saturday, the Sunday as an up day, Monday as a down day, and Tuesday as an up day). I thought that eating lowcarb made me feel much calmer and more mellow, but two weeks of JUDDD have really increased those good feelings. This has been much easier for me to adjust to than I had imagined! Thanks for all the good advice on this board. |
Guilty as charged!
My DD became a a medium day. Was visiting a friend in hospital half way between Devon and London. Ended up in the canteen there and couldn't resist the fish and chips with mushy peas. Took off a lot of the batter and didn't finish the chips. But that is not a DD meal. Nothing else except a coffee but not a good day! |
