This is one of my favorite things about JUDDD. An every now and again transgression is easily fixed with a couple rotations. JUDDD!

Welcome back, Chelly!!It's so nice to "see" you again. Good job on leaving McD's with only a diet coke! Glad you guys are safe too, and stay warm!

It's so great to have you guys as a resource! Your wisdom is greatly appreciated, such impressive results! I'm not worried about the little water weight that will inevitably appear, just a little anxious about piling it on after denying myself carbs for so long... I think I'm going to take the tact of running JUDDD and low carb alongside eachother, and then as you said Slowsure and add in carbs slowly to test the water. I like the idea of starting with starchy vegetables, carrots will be dreamy to me by now!

Planning to ease myself in this way, and then eventually throw caution to the wind and eat something super bold as a treat. Hopefully I'll be adjusted by then so I can make up for big treats comfortably with a couple DDs. As much as I'd like to have the resolve to stay low carb forever, I really miss eating pizza in bed with my boyfriend until I can't move. Everyonce in a while of course

I'm not in any major rush to lose the last few sticky pounds so am happy to experiment in the way you gals have suggested! Shall keep in touch
Enjoy the JUDDD freedom!!

Hello everyone! The JUDDD diet looks like it could be do-able for me. I don't know a lot about the program but I have put in my stats at the JUDDD site calorie calculator so I know how much to eat.

I was low carb/keto for a short while last year and lost about 20 pds then gained it all back plus a couple more. So, today I decided to start a new program. I was flirting with the idea of Intermittent Fasting but I think JUDDD might be better for me - we'll see. I'll have my first DD tomorrow since I already ate over 500 calories today, lol!

I haven't been active here for some time but I used to post on one of the daily weigh-in boards. I look forward to interacting with you all!

! JUDDD is a form of Intermittent Fasting. Our DD calories spread over the 36 hours is low enough to be considered a fast.

tangolover - good to know that you're trying out JUDDD to assess whether or not it's suited to you and your needs.

The stickies on the board are a good place to read up more about the programme tho' you've made a good start by looking at the calculator. Dr Johnson advises starting with an UD so, whatever your initial intention, you're following the programme. He also suggests that start by eating 500kcals on the DD and then adjusting downwards, if that's what the calculator suggests. Of course, if you need more kcals on your DD, and the calculator tells you that, then follow the higher number.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing more of you around the forum.

Thanks, Carly! I guess I thought a fast was pretty much nothing but water or juice - silly me. That's the only kind I've tried and that was many years ago when "detox" by fasting was very popular. JUDDD sounds like a plan that one could adapt to permanently, depending on their goals and progress over time. Anyway, I'm looking forward to not feeling guilty about every carb I consume although I hope to keep them fairly low even on my UDs.

It's nice to meet you, SlowSure. I'm in the process of gleaning as much info as I can from the threads here - there's so much! Yes, the calculator told me to eat 500 calories on my DD so that's what I'll start with. I'm so hoping this works well for me - it's quite unlike anything I have tried before. Thanks for the encouragement. See ya!

Several people, me included, combined IF with JUDDD, waiting until as late in the day to eat. I did it both on UD's and DD's, so that I never ate until after 2pm. For me it was the best of both worlds and really helped me get that last 10lbs off plus about 10 more.

and have fun!

Hi all! I'm a 48 y/o female from the Seattle area. I've always been healthy and in good shape, but have let some pounds creep on in the last year - less exercise and more food. Have always eaten low carb or Paleo, and after looking into JUDDD, decided to give it a go. Today is day 2 and is a DD. Hoping to get down to my goal weigh in a month - 2 months. I also stay active with Les Mills classes at the gym, walking and hiking.

TL! I hope you have eaten plenty today, so you'll go into tomorrow's DD fully fueled and satisfied. It really will make all the difference. Your starting weight is right about where I started almost 2 years ago (on Atkins) and 54 pounds in I switched to JUDDD. Haven't looked back since! I hope you'll find this WOE as wonderful, satisfying, flexible as I have. Good luck!

That's good to know, Planelman. I've got a lot to learn about both methods and am prepared for a lot of experimentation and tweaking. Should be fun, though!

I have a crazy sleep schedule these days so I wasn't sure I could commit to an exact eating window and that's one reason I picked JUDDD over IF. I noticed that some people on the IF board DO adjust their window as needed, but I want things super simple hear at the beginning.

Your progress is quite inspiring - glad you found the right programs for you! Thank you for the warm welcome.

Thanks for this forum ~ I just started JUDDD and after my 1st attempt, my blood sugar went out of wack and I thought I would have to end this. Luckily I found this site and saw Carly's success and tried again. Yesterday was my 1st down day and I just monitored my
blood sugar very closely and was able to keep my DD calories in tact. Without this forum I would of gave up. So thanks Ladies & Gentlemen for all your advice and tips.

The support here is phenomenal! I'm so glad you tried again, and have found a way to work JUDDD into your life.
