Am having hypoglycemic response on my DDs. Trying for 500 calories but nudging it upward to about 600 with added protein from whey and brown rice complexes.

Anyone having success of the with 500+ DDs?

Many, many have had to work down slowly to 500 or lower. Other lucky ones continued to lose at above 500. Take it gently and you will be amazed how your body thanks you.

Monica/zipp2play has always eaten higher DD allowances because she had hypoglycaemic episodes on the standard and up to 500kcals. She's closing in on her goal just fine with DDs in excess of 600kcals (iirc - it might be more).

Thank you so much for that it inspires me to hang on. I came in well under 600. Felt better once I tried the adrenal cocktail from a related thread.

I wholeheartedly agree! This board really keeps you accountable and being able to connect with people who are going through a similar experience is one of the many reasons I find this WOE so appealing.

This WOE has so many caring and knowledgeable people. This newbie feels at home.

I typically have hypoglycemic responses the morning after DDs. And on some DDs. Today I added more carbs and feel better. Hmmmm. Maybe carb phobia isn't the right answer for me.

I used rice protein during my DD yesterday and it has more carbs than the whey I typically use. I felt improved after I used it rather than the whey. Hmm. Trial and error.

Just don't want to throw in the towel. Learn to respect my body's needs within the parameters of this WOE.

Hi everyone. I am a 45 yr old wife and Mom of 3 boys, a HS teacher, sometime actress, singer, bellydancer, and genealogist. Lol

I have a long history of low carb eating, but have finally settled into low carb paleo. I started playing with fasting in June by using the 5:2 plan. I am moving to JUDDD because the every other day system just seems easier. A friend of mine from another site recommended this board for support. I started JUDDD on August 1st. Today is my second DD.

Hi Paula, and welcome, you should do great here. You really seem to know what suits you.

The great thing about JUDDD, however, is that only we impose the food rules. JUDDD simply requires that we rotate within our calorie limits.

Welcome to all the new JUDDers.......

I wanted to report that in my first month - July 1 thru 7/31, I lost 9 lbs. I actually weighed in this morning at 201.1. This is a total of 11 lbs. I've noticed that while following this woe, my breathing/asthma has improved. I was unable to do a lot of walking in the past because it became too hard for me to breathe. Well, I am up to a mile+ without any problem.

What I can say is JUDD works.....not only for the weight but to help the entire body stay and feel healthy!!!!!

Hi All!
There's soo much wonderful information on this forum, and everyone is so friendly. This is my first post and I started JUDDD on Aug1. I'm excited to do this. I really want to lose 30 pounds by my 32nd birthday in November. Today is my third DD and I'm looking for some support and camaraderie.
