I would. If the numbers were working before, you were probably in your "sweet spot." No need to lower them as long as you're still losing.

I have read through some of the posts on the DD Hack and Potato Recipes threads, and would love to stick around for a little while if you guys have any questions.

I started out my LC journey 3 years ago lurking around LCF which led me to MDA and a few places I wish I hadn't ventured, so it's fitting to find myself back here.

After LC'ing for 2+ years, I felt something was missing. I still had 10 pounds that wouldn't budge and was stalled flat in the gym. I stumbled across the Potato Diet, tried it, lost that last 10 and shared the story on MDA--from there it took on a life of it's own and I see people talking about the Potato Hack everywhere! I love it.

So let me know where to park and I'll try to be as helpful as I can. I have been doing a bit of a JUDDD myself, but not as structured as you all--so I'm looking forward to learning more about JUDDD in general.

Otzi!! I think I am ready (for the 4th time lol) to give the PH a try. I am struggling with losing because I am overeating on UDs and craving sweets like crazy! I have resisted the PH because of the monotony, but I need to make a sacrafice of some sort to get the scale moving (downwards). Would welcome any advice from you!!

Oriana, first, don't panic! It's what we call an UUAD (Up Up and Away Day). It happens to us all at one time or another!

Just go on today with a normal DD. Don't try and reduce your DD calories, unless you just don't feel hungry. Then proceed on to a normal UD tomorrow. One day does not wreck you on JUDDD. You may have needed it!

Welcome, Otzi! Your PH knowledge will be a wonderful and wanted addition here. I have limited my PH days to an occasional DD without adherence to the normal 500 calorie restriction. I believe that I may have somewhat of a nightshade allergy and if I do the hack too often it becomes more of a problem. I limit myself to once every one to two weeks to shake things up a bit and usually will drop a couple of pounds using it this way.

Oriana, LoCarbGal has given you exactly the right advice. We all have an UUAD on occasion. She has lost a lot of weight this way!

Starting JUDDD with my first DD tomorrow. Have dabbled in 5:2 for the past few weeks but found the fast days hard to get used to. Was wondering if this was because it was only 2 days a week and am hoping JUDDD will help me to adjust better.

I've decided to only log meticulously on my DD's atm to see how I get on

Hi Lisa and welcome to another UK JUDDD BUDDD.

The DDs do get easier with practise and I think starting with alternate days sort of 'throws us in at the deep end' and gets us used to them, and indeed gets the JUDDD magic going faster. Looking forward to getting to know the Newbies around the board.

Just dropping in to say hello and introduce myself. Like many here, I started with Atkins and lost about eight pounds quickly. As I've been lurking on these boards, I read about people doing this program, and it intrigued me. I began reading about it, and decided I would follow this WOE. I had my first DD yesterday, and it all went just fine. I can see this working out well long-term. I look forward to getting to know everyone here - you all seem very helpful!

Hello!

I have introduced myself in a few posts over the last few days, but I just realized I haven't introduced myself in the one place for introductions!

Started yesterday w/ an UD. Just did my usual low carb/High Fat thing I've been doing since January. But this time I tracked all my stats. I was actually amazed to find out that I do not eat nearly the amount of calories I thought I have been consuming. My target is 2650 on UDs and after my "normal" eating I was at around 1800 last night. I was shocked at how few calories somethings had in them that I just thought were loaded in cals. For instance, I made an afternoon "snack" of a package of Miracle noodles. Since I knew these were low cal, I decided to smother it in some alfredo sauce. Little did I realize it was only 60 calories in the sauce! I thought it must have been a few hundread. This really taught me the importance of actually counting and tracking. I frantically tried to finish my night off with a pan of coconut bark I had in the freezer and I think I got close to my number. I'm really trying to stick with my LC WOE, especially on my UDs. I'm not so worried on my DD's although today I have stuck to it easily. I just need to remember to actually eat on my UD's. That's probably my biggest issue is that I just generally don't eat enough no matter diet or no diet. And I have a horrible habit of not eating anything until 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. I think my UDs might be harder than my DDs.

Anyways, just wanted to stop by and meet some of the other newbies!

Andy, not eating until later in the day will probably hold you in good stead on your DDs, but may prove to be a challenge on UDs, in order to get your calories in. I'm the same way. Very often I don't eat anything (or drink my coffee/cream) until 11 am or so, even on UDs! You'll get the hang of it.

Thanks for the welcome, everyone! Andy, I was actually going to ask that same question, so thanks for beating me to it! Had an UD yesterday, and found it hard to eat right away, so I had a lot of calories to eat by day's end. I made it, but it wasn't as easy as I thought it should be, and my stomach hurt all night since I ate so late in the day. Lots to learn still, but I look forward to catching on like everyone else here!

Hi Everyone,

Newbie here! A little bit of my story: I gained 20 pounds over the past year finishing grad school and starting a new job. I decided to start HHCG last week as it works so quickly. However, I was unable to stick with the 500 cal per day eating regimen day after day after day. My feelings of deprivation and physical hunger were absolutely atrocious! Feeling like a complete failure, I was looking at message boards and stumbled onto a post about JUDDD. I was intrigued and decided to investigate the WOE. I read up on JUDDD and decided to try it. I can definitely do 300-500 per day every other day, just not every day. Finally, a lifestyle I can live with, lose and then maintain the loss!

I look forward to being a part of the message board. You folks feel like a very supportive group.

Also curious, how can I put a ticker in my signature?

I just posted my first message to the group and have a bit of a technical question. How can I input a weight loss ticker into my signature?

I checked the site FAQs and there is supposed to be an "Edit Signature" link in the "User Control Panel" drop down under the "Edit Profile" link, but I cannot see it/access it. Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks much in Advance!

I have been a member over 2 mos and have over 80 posts. I still cannot get the ticker to work. When I copy the code into the signature box it comes out looking the same in the preview and does not show a picture!

PLEASE HELP!

Hello! I'm new to this message board. I'm really interested in JUDDD. I've done every diet out there and am ready to lose the last 20 pounds for good. I just finished 3 weeks of HCG and lost 10 pounds, but got really burned out this time. I'm inspired by many of your successes. Any tips are appreciated! Thank you!!
