Hi ladies! I'm a newbie to JUDDDING and so excited about it. I have hit a serious plateau in my weight loss efforts and I am hoping this is just the thing to get started! I have ALOT of questions, so I will post them in a new thread so they don't get lost in the thousands of replies here.

Hello Everyone! I am new here and going back to the JUDDD. I am not doing Low Carb but found this forum and so happy that there are so many other people doing this diet so that's great! ^__^ I have done this diet in the past and lost a few pounds but ended up failing by getting off track, it will be different. I haven't really been tracking any calories this weekend because its the Up days :-) But starting on Monday, I will start my down day. BTW, my name is Giovanni everyone! I am really excited to start and get my weight down!

Hi everyone!! I am not new to the low carb board but I am new to this area...I bought the book by Dr Johnson and read it...made a lot of sense, it is something I want to try to do...I tried it in June of last year but wasnt really commited and didnt continue with it for more than 4 days...:P, so...here I am starting my DD today, I think this strategy is a good way to live...I like the simplicity of DDs...we will see how I do. I am commiting to the 2 week induction starting today. I am 43 years old, 5' 3", I dont have a lot to lose...10-15 pounds will put me in the middle range of my BMI, I just want a lifestyle I can follow for life. My DD will be 500, my UD is around 1650...I know I dont have to eat to 1650 but its nice to know the cals are there...

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say I will be around for a long time

I have posted on the Newbie thread but thought I would stop here to formally introduce myself.

My name is Katy. I have 3 kiddos aged 1, 3 & 5 and I stay home with them. I was making great progress on HCG in 2011, had gone from 220 down to 165 but then I got pregnant with the little guy in my avatar. I gained 60 lbs while pregnant and was pretty much back to square one. He is now 1 and I am still nursing him. I think JUDDD will be a great fit for all I have going on right now, I am used to the calorie restriction from HCG (my most recent round was in Dec) and plan to keep most of my choices lower in carbs as I have some serious portion control problems when sweets are involved.

I have lost and gained the same 20 lbs since having Austen about 5 times now. I can't seem to break into the 180s without sabotaging my efforts and binge eating. For that reason, I will only be weighing on Sunday or Monday, whichever day falls after a DD for that week. I have also been really struggling with inflammation that started toward the end of my pregnancy. I read Dr. J's book and am encouraged at the impact JUDDD seems to have on reducing inflammation.

Today starts Week 8 on JUDD and I've lost 17 lbs but I have officially stalled and don't know what to do. My stall started on week 6! I have not gained weight but it's hard not seeing the weight loss on the scale. If anyone has any pointers please let me know. Thanks!

Can you start a thread and give us more details- like you calorie numbers, food choices, exercise, etc...

That's a lot to lose in 8 week!! Really, it's over 2 lbs a week, so you may see a "stall" as your body gets used to the changes. Sometimes when you lose a lot in the beginning, you will seem to lose nothing for a while because it will average out to 1-2 lbs a week overall.
