Thank you Kissa! Had that dreaded bounce this AM, after a great UP day, but I figured it was coming and I'll just hang in there!

Thank you all for your wonderful words of encouragement. I continue to keep up with the boards and read old threads.... The main message just keeps coming through!

Copied from the Feb newbie group, but wanted to share here so I can get to know you all and be a cheerleader as well as learn from everyone also...<3

I am truly ready to do this, and am going to love being with such a caring, informative group...

My story real quick is I lost over 90 in less than a yr a few years ago but doing vlc..as in less than 10 carbs for that time..the pounds and inches just dropped off it seemed like...Then life hit me in the face and I went off all plans and have gained it back...I have not got on the scales yet, but I will Mon morning...

I am trying to not let the stress get the best of me....But I am currently going through ALOT...I REFUSE though to let it have the best of me..Time for ME to have control......I am ready to get this weight back off and get back in my old clothes

I am 45 and have been in menopause for 3 yrs now...I also suffer from major migraines, thyroid issues and insomnia...It is a daily struggle, but I am feeling pretty good now...

I am snowed in today ( I am a elem school librarian),. and have been spending the day making menus, figuring cals and carbs etc....I have done hcg before, so my DD should be easy... I am going to also watch my carbs at the same time, but not be SO MUCH worried about them, that I fail....I also believe the reason it was SO EASY for me to gain back is the fact that I had eaten so very low carb, that the first bites of carbs, even healthy my body grabbed onto...this time I am NOT going to be afraid of healthy carbs

Sorry I wrote a book, but wanted to give a little background...I am excited to get to know each one of you and be a cheerleader on this journey

Look out Monday and JUDDD here I come.....I know I should start sooner, but honestly I want to get all my favs in before I began...I know that sounds horrible, but I know for me personally, if I dont do it, then i will not succeed

Stacy

One of the most joyous aspects of JUDDD is that you still get to have all your favorites. Believe it or not, for most of us, in time, food loses it's power over us for exactly that reason. When something's no longer "forbidden" and you know you can have it (at least every other day), it's not quite as appealing.

I am new here. I have been reading all of your posts for a few months now but I have been very hesitant to introduce myself for a couple of reasons. One is that I don't have much to lose. I constantly hear from people that I don't have a weight problem. I will admit that I am not obese, but I struggle every day just to maintain. I need a way of eating that I can live with. I am tierd of starving just to maintain my weight.
My second reason is fear of failure. I really hate to put myself out there and then not be able to accomplish my goal.
But everyone here is so helpful and supportive, I am hoping this will be just what I need to get those last few pounds off and keep them off. Wish me luck!

I think it makes perfect sense to start on a day that you're all psyched up for. I know I spent a lot of time contemplating, planning, reading here before I committed to trying JUDDD. Just like anything else calling for major change, you have to be ready for it. Good luck!

Hi Shepheka and to our happy group.

Don't worry about having a small amount to lose lots of us are always watching just a few pounds and we don't judge anyone.

Looking forward to getting to know you.

Stacy Thank you for sharing your story with us You are going to rock JUDDD. The support here is tremendous, and the people understand life. We all have ups and downs and struggles, and it takes courage to share. Congratulations on finding our board. IS Monday going to be a DD for you? You can do it

Sheph Don't worry about not having much to lose. MAny of our JUDDD Budds have already met their goal, but continue to come here for support-or to support others. Just because you have less to lose, doesn't mean it's not a struggle for you. I have known people who, like you, are at a healthy weight, but they do struggle or have to keep it in check every day to keep that way. I know that must be exhausting. I am hoping JUDDD will be your answer to a less exhausting life.

Glad you've joined us!

Welcome to our new JUDDDers, Stacy and Shepeka! You have come to the right place! This board is full of amazing people; some already at goal and here to help support us, some working away towards their goal, and some like you, just getting started. Incredible knowledge abounds here....and they delight in your success and in helping you along. Never hesitate to ask questions, and spend time going through all of the old posts. There is so much available to help it is almost mind boggling!

Hello!

Just wanted to say "Hi" and give you a little background about myself. My husband and I have a beef farm, as well as both work outside other jobs. Spring through Fall is pretty busy for us and I usually fall off the wagon around May-we tend to eat way too many convenience foods in the summer. Hopefully JUDDD will be something that will work for me. Convenience foods every other day??? I lost 30lbs the first six months of last year and gained 22 back the last six. Been lurking here since the first of the year and decided to give JUDDD a try. I plan on posting in the daily weigh-in thread to try to keep myself accountable...

Shep, please don't forget about the awesome health benefits of this WOE. Even for people not needing to lose much weight (which are few and far between on the SAD) this WOE is extremely good for your health and longevity! Don't ever let the naysayers steal your joy!!

And forget failure! This is an EXTREMELY forgiving WOE and you will reap the benefits, even if you don't do it "perfectly"!

I'm new as well, so I am not sure how to link to a previous thread, but take a look at the Sticky:Benefits of JUDDD/CRON or something like that...I will try to link to it.
