Julie, you are probably fine on your numbers. Most people little to no exercise in and that makes the numbers smaller. Try your numbers and if you are not getting the results you want you can always change.
This does work! |

Fin, I see what you are saying, and it is hard to stick to any diet when other things are filling your life. My beloved DD has similar issues. Just do your best and come here often, join in lots of the different threads and you will find so much support.

Good point Cindy. But I wonder, don't you still have to count calories when sticking to the rotations? How is it different than in the past when life got in the way of counting calories? Not arguing; just wondering.

You do need to keep counting with the rotations, but some how each day seems like a new day and I just take it one day at a time. 1 yr ago I never would have believed that I am where I'm at. It's not exactly perfect, but it's way better than I ever would have thought.

Hi I am Alex female about 30kg from goal. I am 5f 10 inches and this is my first day and is a DD. Question, when it tells you he amount of calories you are allowed for DD is that negating your exercise for the day? I use a app for my android phone and it takes into account the exercise. Also is induction 14 days of DD. ? thanks

Hi Alex and welcome!! When you use the JUDDD calculator to determine your calories, you have a choice of several different exercise levels. The calories will be higher if your exercise levels are higher. The "induction" is 14 days, or at least Dr. Johnson recommends not going below 500 for two weeks to get you in the habit of very low calorie days, every other day. I hope that helps!

Hi 55kg and
!Induction is considered the first 14 days, so 7 UDs and 7 DDs. Dr. J. recommends you start at 500 calories for those 2 weeks, as it can be hard to go lower than that right in the beginning. Some folks start out even higher at 600 or 700 and work their way down, to ease the discomfort. Others dive right in at their calculated numbers, which may be in the 300s or 400s. If you can stand it, and it won't derail you, go for it. I stayed at 500 for many weeks longer than the first two, and still lost well. Good luck and keep posting so we know how you're adjusting!

Oh yeah, I'm a late nighter. I've been trying to go to bed earlier, but I don't always make it!
![]() Yes, 14 straight days of 500 or less would be brutal. I know the hcg'ers do it, but they have the benefit of the hcg keeping them from gnawing off their own arms. It's the every other day that makes this totally doable, and causes all the physical magic! Gotta love it! |

So, I'm on my third week on JUDDD...doing great lost 6 lbs in first two weeks. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help.
1. When should you recalculate numbers for calorie count? 2. I'm considering low carb option but I've never done that... What should you keep your carb count at? |

Hello, I have a few questions
Hello,
I originally lost 85lbs on Jenny Craig and have kept if off since 2000. I would like to drop the last 15 lbs and am considering the JUDDD program. I work out 3 days a week with strength/weight lifting so those would be my up days. I also do a cardio workout everyday. So on my up days the cardio shouldn't be an issue...but on my down days is doing a cardio plausible? Also, I am trying to figure out if on my down days, do I eat one meal a day at the low calorie value or do I spread it out throughout the day? Thank you in advance C |

Energygal, you're doing great!
1. The standard wisdom is to leave your numbers alone as long as you're losing comfortably. If your losses slow down (not for just a week or two, which does happen) or stall completely, then you can look at adjusting your numbers. Be sure you're eating all the way up to your UD calories though, because skimping can cause your body to think starvation. 2. You can do low carb if you want, but if you've been eating carbs and don't think they're stalling you, or causing you to have cravings and munchies, then I would keep doing what you're doing, on JUDDD. There are so many different levels considered low carb, I wouldn't know what to tell you on that. Keep up the good work! C! I hope you love JUDDD! And congratulations on keeping off those 85 pounds! What an accomplishment. You'll have to see how your body reacts to your workouts on DDs and UDs. Lots of us feel amazing energy on DDs, and if you workout early in the DD, you'll still be somewhat fed from your previous UD. But some people do experience more hunger if they workout, so it could be a challenge on DDs. Regarding how to eat on DDs, it's totally up to you! I love to have coffee with cream in the morning, and then save all or most of my calories for dinner. Some of the others spread it out over 3 meals, or lots of mini-snacks. And the great thing is, we're all losing! You'll just have to experiment and see what works best for you. Good luck! |

Newbie
Hello JUDDDERS
![]() I am new and actually haven't started yet.I have been doing RX HCG since April 24th of last year. I lost 40lbs. Now with the Holidays only 28.6 ![]() Can't seem to get back into it. SO I am considering JUDDD. I do have the book and am reading it but I wanted to introduce my myself. This plan actually works? I have been use to the 500 calories so I really don't think I will have a problem with it. Will I need to do the shakes like the book says for seven DD or can I just do the 500 cal? I really like being able to have a "in between day" on Sundays(Book say's eat more than on reg. dd, but not as much as reg UD. Because we always eat out on Sun. after church. I am wanting to know what you usdually loose a week. I realize MMMV as everyone is different. So as soon as this vial is empty of HCG I will be here to join your group.I am looking forward to this new way of eating. I am actually a bit excited aobut it!

Feeling Lost....
Hi, I'm Teri....
I am trying to start a low carb food plan and I am a bit confused about DD, UD & of course, JUDDD. If anyone can help me, that would be great. I have done low carb in the past, but have had a hard time sticking to it.... I am now at an all time high weight and I am having health issues. Would love some feedback.... Thanks, Teri |

Roberta! Yes, this plan REALLY works. In just under 5 months I've lost 39 pounds, so averaging just under 8 pounds a month. Some months a little less, some more. I lost 9 pounds in December (if you can believe that, and I ate all the holiday treats I wanted!) I'm like Carly, I hate MDs. They are hard psychologically somehow, make me uncomfortable, so I just stick to rotations. If I need to switch, I'll do 2 UDs in a row, but I don't do that often at all. Good luck to you, and keep posting. I can't wait to see how you like it!Quote:

Teri! I started doing JUDDD using Induction carbs too, and lost pretty quickly the first month - about 11 pounds. I've since added more carbs but try not to eat too much flour, rice, pasta, sugar. A little yes, but I keep it in control. Most of my carbs now come from fruit or higher carb veggies. So if you don't like low carb, don't worry about it! JUDDD won't care as long as your calories are in line. I hope you will try JUDDD - it will change your life. Let us know what you decide and what you think. This forum is really the BEST place!Quote:
