Thank you to all for the warm welcome.
I have been lurking for some time now again. I started LC'ing in 2004, then fell off the band wagon. I am really hoping this is going to work, and I have the right mind set going in, and I know the DD's are really more mental than anything from what I am reading. I have stocked up on lots of good "staples" that I have been reading about as well. I have ordered "glu" from Netrition, and I am hoping I can make some glu pudding to help keep me feeling full in the beginning. Evenyually I will learn what foods work best on DD's for me, but it is all trial and error in the beginning, I believe. Looking forward to a nice long JUDDD journey with you all! Jenn (Mama-Dodge) |

Welp, I lept in today without really planning it, and I am to stay at 414 calories and I will be at 471 once dinner is over. Not horrible for not really planning, but over nonetheless. I must say, I WAS hungry today, but mom says it gets easier!
PS, I also got my "glu" from Netrition in the mail, and I took three (serving size) of them when I got home from work to see if it helps my hunger. True test because I am ravenous! So here is to day one almost done! |

Under 500 for your first DD is fantastic!
Keep in mind that glucommanan is pure fiber. If you're prone to stomach upset with too much fiber, use it sparingly. Also, if you're taking the capsules, make sure you drink plenty of water with them. |

Hi All! I am a new Juddder.
This is my second day and my first DD. feeling pretty good, little shakes but am in the zone. I have a couple of questions, 1. Is there a limit on coffee and tea (will this affect my weight loss or ability to stay on track? 2. Is Stevia okay to use, or will the carbs affect my progress? |

Also I used the calculator on The Juddd website and it said that on up days I should consume 2965 calories and on Down days 593.
These numbers seem a bit high. Any advice? ![]() |

I'm assuming you're female, and we have your weight from your stats. Will need height and age to calculate.
One thing people commonly do on the calculator is not change from cms to inches or kilos to pounds. That will greatly affect your numbers. |

With the glucommanan, I didn't get any belly upset as of yet, and I actually remember about reading that too. I was going to take it slow, but when I got home from work and saw the box, I was so hungry, I took three, not even thinking. It could have been trouble!

Okay so that was my problem! I had the inches/ centimeters wrong and the lbs / kg's wrong, new cals at 1864 UD and 373 DD.....may be hard at first because I did a 595 day today and that was tough!
I am determined to get this weight off, my youngest is 20 months.....I can't say this is baby weight anymore! |
