I've seen Chocovine at World Market, but it looked too much like chocolate milk to me. I like my wine pretty dry and not very sweet. Although, I may try some new wines at the wine party I'm going to tomorrow.

Never seen Chocovine here in Europe............

Like mine dry too Dawn.

Newbies, remember, do as I say, do NOT do as I do. Today's DD consisted of one baked potato and three glasses of wine/champagne.

Haha! You rock, Kissa. I hadn't thought of doing that! I just finished my calories for the day, and I'm thinking I might have an early night so I don't have to sit there wanting something for hours and hours.

On my UD yesterday I made carrot cake -- I'd been thinking of carrot cake for months and I finally got to have some. I made three small ones and gave two away, which was just as well, because it was so nice I ate all of the small one I kept! Just couldn't stop. It was good though!

Chocovine is very sweet. I don't like sweet wines, typically, and I can't drink too much of this one, but the chocolateliness is different from just regular sweet wine. I doubt I'll want another bottle of it for a long time. It's pretty strong too. One glass is around 400 calories! I drank 3 glasses of it yesterday and might be why I felt nauseated. Also why I went up a lb today, probably.

If you like Bailey's, it's similar, although stronger.

I've been remembering back to the days when the kids were all at home, and I did baking, and I was not very overweight at all! Seems like 'normal' eating should allow for a bit of something yummy. Well I did baking yesterday, and enjoyed the fruits of my labors, but tried to be a bit more restrained than the previous time... and I managed to lose over Żlb from my weight two days ago (both after UDs). So it's working for me. (Yay!!!) I am eating mainly sensible, "meat & veges" type meals; not pigging out on silly stuff.

I stopped taking diuretics at the same time I began JUDDD, so that blurred my results somewhat because of course I gained some water-weight. But now a week has passed and I am seeing a definite reduction in my weight. I am very very happy!

I'm still working out the best way to apportion my 5-600 calories for my DDs. Today I am going to try two x 250 cal meals.

I haven't done any baking yet. I'm still concerned about having a bunch of carby stuff in the house, especially after I indulged in some cookies on my last DD.

Glad to hear its working for you, kiwib! JUDDD is so awesome!

I guess I should introduce myself! My name is Chantal, I have a lot of weight to lose and love low carb, but wanted to kick it up a notch and was very interested and fascinated by the health benefits with JUDDD. So I am doing low carb JUDDD I might slowly add carbs back in as I get closer and closer to my goal weight just so I can eat normally again. (Makes is easier for social gatherings and such)

Today is my first DD and it has been going extremely well so far! No terrible hunger pains, and only a very very mild headache, nothing major!

Some of the benefits I look forward to experiencing with JUDDD are (obviously weight loss) and arthritis in my knees to lessen, dark circles under my eyes to get less severe, learning to recognize true hunger versus cravings, and hmmm, I'm sure I'm missing something...

Oh well, hi everyone!

Chantal. I hope LC/JUDDD works great for you. Along with upping my Glucosamine I have so improved my arthritis since starting JUDDD a year ago.

Hope you get all the wonderful health benefits we enjoy from JUDDDDing.

I remember how astonished I was at my initial loss when I started JUDDD too. It made me realise just how many calories I had been consuming unnecessarily.

I am so pleased you have seen a good start but do remember there wiil be a bounce...

Yeah, I usually only weigh myself once a week, not everyday, but I was excited to see the results after a DD since I actually felt much smaller already. But I am also the kind of person who doesn't let the number on the scale get to me. So if I see a gain, I will most likely keep going just the same. It's not only about the numbers! I am just as interested in the many other benefits of this woe, I promise not to stop no matter what the scale says!
Thanks guys

Hi!

Hi Everyone!

After getting some much needed advice on how to approach JUDDD after a very low carb and very low calorie woe since March, I have taken a leap of faith and started my very 1st UD today!

I've been reading the JUDDD board for several months and love how caring and helpful everyone is here.

This woe makes so much sense to me and I know it will be better for me than eating very low calorie every single day..I just have to not panic when I see the scale bounce up tomorrow morning.

Wish me Luck!

Peggy

I see you had them all close in age too! I love them all being so close, but it is so incredibly rough taking care of 2 toddlers and a newborn. I seriously want to rip all my hair out! When does it get better???
