Thanks for posting your update, Mary. It's good just to hear how you're doing. I'm glad you're taking it easy, and also glad the Dr seems to be taking good care of you and your situation. Rest and heal this weekend!

Hey guys, just popping in between the eye drops...it's really fun trying to keep to schedule and remembering which drops go in when..and I swear the eye is getting itchy because it's not producing a normal flow of its own water...or maybe it's the sutures in the eye. I'm actually looking forward to the surgery on Tuesday looking for a bit of relief.

If your eye is itchy can you put a cool compress gently over the eye? I hope Tuesday's procedure is very successful!

AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! ! I'm beginning to think this will never end...went in today as a pre-check before the retinal surgeon goes in tomorrow to remove the chunks...and the doc decided the eye is still swollen too much for surgery; so we are still on standby. Good news is the pressure has gone down to 20 whatevers, so we're doing good that way. The docs decided that since the surgery isn't' an emergency it would be better to wait for some of the swelling to go down and, of course, I can't argue with them but it just moves the date back a bit....til who knows when. Of course, that means it's just more time for the anxiety to climb...time to meditate.

I go back Thursday morning for my next check up, and maybe a decision of when we'll go in and remove chunks.,,the earliest would be the next Tuesday or Wednesday...what a way to spend Thanksgiving...as there is always a callback the day after surgery...oh well, what doesn't kill you just makes you stronger, or some such drivel...

Oh Mary, can this get any more complicated for you? I guess the answer is yes. I mean, you still have your sight, and they know what they need to do. I'm just sorry it's dragging out and will interfere with your Thanksgiving. Hang in there! You'll be looking at this in your rear view mirror pretty soon (and seeing it so CLEARLY too!)

So sorry this is taking so long to sort out Mary. As you say, they know what they are doing, but Thanksgiving doesn't sound like the time you'd wish for all this.
