Help me make the right choice, please!

So I plugged my Chicken and Dumpling Soup Recipe into a calorie counter website. Here is what I got:
Servings: 1
Ingredients Cals Gr.
1 lb carrots 186 A
1 lb celery 73 A
4 quarts chicken broth 614 B+ (not sure if this is right since it was homemade with boullion cubes and chicken breast with skin and bones)
3 cups flour 1,365 A-
1 egg 63 B+
1 tsp baking soda 0
Serving Size 3251 g
Amount Per Serving Calories 1,994Calories

Basically most of the calories come from the dumplings (flour/egg). This is also calories based on a 4 quart pot of soup.
Could I eat just the broth, carrots and celery minus the dumplings on a DD?
Would I need to add calories due to the dumplings being in the soup but not eating them?
I really really love this soup and would like to have about 2 cups of it sans dumplings. At minimum there are 12 servings probably more like 20 in this pot.
What say the JUDDD BUDS???

If you divide it into 20 servings, it's just about 100 calories per serving. Even if you only divide it into 10 servings, it's less than 200 calories per serving. That's totally doable on a DD, without having to worry about removing the dumplings or anything.

Do you think I should use what they call chicken broth?

What I did was boil 3 large chicken breasts with skin and bones and 3 boullion cubes in 4 quarts of water. I then removed the breasts after 3 hours of simmering and before adding the dumplings. I know it is weird but there is no actual chicken in my soup.

I'm just worried that my counts are wrong. I do not want to go over on my dd.

I have no idea what that does to the calorie content. Sorry. Maybe one of our resident cooks can answer that one.

If the count is too *iffy* for my comfort zone I just enjoy it on an UD. I only count on DDs, but am as accurate as possible.

I can't help with the broth issue. Every tracker is probably different anyway

If you haven't cooked it yet, make the soup leaving the dumplings aside till it's about half done, then separate out the part you want to eat on down days into another pot to finish. Put the dumplings in the big pot and finish it too. Then you have the lower calorie soup for DDs and the other for UDs and other people.

The dumplings were already added.

I had a cup of the whole soup. I figure it at most to be 200 calories. With popcorn tonight I should be right at 400. I'm good with that!

I should've just done something low calorie but I really love that soup! Maybe a little too much!

Thanks everyone!
