Adi, it's good to hear that things are going well and that your metabolism is straightening itself out. I'm finding the same here as well. This much calm through the holidays is a new experience for me, and I have JUDDD to thank for that.

I've been thinking of lowering my DDs a bit (closer to wlm %) and trying FDs for my UDs and not counting them. I know there are some maintainers who do this very well, and it appeals to me. It's not because I'm needing more calories on my UDs. It's more that I like the idea of less work every other day as far as weighing and calculating every single thing I eat, especially the few times I eat out (estimating those cals always takes me forever because I can get obsessive). I figure if I lower my DDs to around wlm %, I couldn't do as much damage on UDs even if I don't count. Well, that's the theory anyway. I'm gonna start that today with a low DD and try it for at least a couple weeks.

Adi, you didn't want cookies? I'm still at the stage where I eat them because I can and still be at goal

Cookies are my weakness and I had no desire for a cookie. Actually scared me. So not me. I had a rice cake with SF marmalade instead and was satisfied.

Now I usually do very low DD's and don't count UD's and eat whatever and am maintaining so it works for me that way.

Wow, if I ever lose my desire for my rediscovered love of butterfinger candy, I'll pass out Hopefully, I'll get my fill and be more like you, Adi!

Love the idea of not counting, am getting there I think, didn't log every bite on ****** yesterday, UD. What a sense of freedom! I think I'll keep my DD's low too, want to keep that DD:UD calorie difference happening. Loving this maintenance gig!

BTW, Adi, I recognize you from TheDish - I'm AustinElements over there I still haunt that forum, don't post as much these days. . . .

Hi. I don't have time to post theere much either although I lurk every once in awhile.

I went through a phase of eating GooGoo Clusters every UD. I gradually worked my way through that and went on to something else. I am thinking I have finally eaten my fill of everything that I did not eat for 10 years on LC.

I LOVE JUDDD.

AND I went to TSC yesterday to get dog and cat food. I had to stand by the rack that had the GooGoo Clusters while in the checkout line. I did not even have the desire to buy one for "later." I think I have arrived. Makes me love JUDDD even more.

I am feeling a little disgruntled today. My pants feel a bit tight and I have a bit of a cold but the scales were up to 128 this morning, admittedly after a pretty high UD, though not unusually so.

I know that today will probably not be a great UD as we have had to invite neighbours in this evening for a drink. Now I know I could say no and sip water or Diet coke, but I am in Maintenance for goodness sake and these are people who are easier 'with drink taken', if you get my drift.

So what do I do, allow myself a MD and forgive myself or fight on for a highish DD?

I really don't want to change my rotation this week as it works out well with other commitments.

Aw Cindy, I'm sorry you're feeling not-so-great today. I know exactly those neighbors (do we live on the same street?). I don't know what to tell you, but I'd definitely have that drink or two to make the evening easier. Just be kind to your body as it's fighting off this dang bug. And you know those extra couple of pounds are water retention from that process. It'll all flush away soon. Take care, my friend!

Cindy, do you mean today is a DD? Because a drink or two on an empty stomach doesn't add to much and would whack me enough to deal with the neighbours.
All the best with it, and them. Ho ho ho.

Yes, I will enjoy a drink and just allow for the extra calories, the world won't come to an end.

Cindy, I agree, the world won't come to an end. One or two won't hurt too much and if it keeps you sane, it's worth it.

Carly, I am chilly all the time seems like. Especially on DDs. Even in maintenance. I just figure it's the price I pay for being thin! Back when I was 303 pounds, I was always warm. Would get sweaty just walking down the street. So embarrassing.

Of course I was too hot! I had a 140-pound insulating blanket on me! Now that that's gone, I'm cold. Beats being fat, I figure. I'll just wear some more clothes. And wait for summer to come back.

JUDDD really is life-changing. I know that. What I don't know is why the merchants around here don't carry goo-goo clusters.

I need one.

Ignoring those GooGoo CLusters shocked the heck out of me too. Maybe the boy with my 2 50 pound sacks of dogfood and 2 20 pound sacks of cat food, who was jabbering away helped. I only have two cats but keep food for one in the house and the food for the other in the barn. Didn't want anyone to think I was a cat hoarder.

AND I am down to `141.6 this morning following another potato DD. Enjoying my hash browns for breakfast. This is perfect timing since my hens are molting and egg production is way down.

Boiling my potatoes for the day and then off to take care of all of my chores.

I'm going to try the potato dd today. My family will think I'm all sorts of nuts. Oh well, just confirmation for what they already suspect. Bought a little bag of yukon golds that if I eat the whole bag, will be 330 cals. Plan to boil them in some chicken broth.

Will be checking bg too. Morning fasting was 73. When I was watching things back in Jan-Mar, my morning reading was usually upper 80's. So wow, I guess I've had some healing going on in the months I haven't been keeping tabs on it.

Babs, yes I am. We've been back about six weeks now, but life refuses to settle down for long. I haven't been on these boards much at all. I'm trying to get back into the habit of coming here to give and get support.

After many months of very happy maintaining I believe I am going to go back to weight loss mode calories again to get through December. The holidays are such a major time of food and drink temptations for me that I think I will do better with a weight loss mentality. Plus I am bouncing above my 150 pound upper limit and I don't want to watch the bouncing weight numbers go back up! It would be such a dream come true for me to wake up on January 2nd and not have to worry about losing all the weight I have gained back. I know with JUDDD that I can still have everything I want just every second day and get back to the 140's!

That's at least 3 of us, lol.

Kimberley has gone back to WLM too.

I am bored with only seeing 125 to 128 instead of 123 to 126. Doesn't seem like a lot, but, like you, I don't want to wake up with anything to lose on 2nd Jan.

Look out December, here we come. See you over in the daily weigh in thread?
