Lisa, that must have been a tough bounce. But you handles it so brilliantly. It would have been easy to 'pig out' and forget all the good work you have put in.

But what did you do? Exactly the right thing and the reward is rightly yours. Brilliant post.

Well guys, I'm baaaaaaaack with good news. The eye pressure has normalized and is stable in both eyes at 13. There is still a bit of swelling and the eye is still a bit cloudy, but.....the pieces of cataract are disappearing...seems to be dissolving without surgery....hoooray!!!! So, for now, no surgery is scheduled. I go back for another checkup on Monday and another decision will be made, but for now, no surgery....

I can even read a bit...I have a very short focal length on that eye, about six inches, but the big blobs are becoming little blobs and some things are becoming much clearer...also, we are reducing some of the meds, and eliminating one, so that, too is a step in the right direction...So, I glad to be announcing I'm winning...don't know what I'm winning, but I'm winning time if nothing else.

So I'm hoping you've had some good news today, too.

Mary, that is great news. Just love it when the body takes care of itself.

Lisa, I can identify with the huge bounce. Have had my share. WTG getting right back on track.

Am surprised that when I took a maintenance break the past week that the weight settled in at my lowest weight to date in stead of higher. Will be anxious to see where it goes now that I am tapering back to WLM. Yesterday was my first DD in WLM and I really didn't plan it, just realized toward the end of the day it was doable without much effort. The rest of the day was painless. Today was a good UD too. Have a few calories left for a bedtime snack but am not going to force it.

In an effort to cut down on my OC nature, I have turned off all the macronutrient counts in my food log. Can only see calories now. KISS

Catching up - been without internet all week!!

Nancy, best wishes for Friday.
Mary, great news about your eye.

Connie, I've only been losing a pound per week but it's a steady loss and I'm thrilled so far. Please don't devalue your success because it doesn't seem spectacular!

Marry I am so delighted that things have improved. Hoping it continues that way.

Nancy how did things go for you? Waiting to hear.

Good to see you back Flossy or Liz, whichever you'd prefer.

I am having a few odd days just now. I suppose I am doing IF. Just the way my social life has panned out.

I had a good week of regular rotations but this evening a friend has invited us to dinner, Italian, then tomorrow we had booked a lunch at a good French restaurant we like.

I intend to enjoy them both, but don't think I really want to have 2 UDs. So I am planning to eat just those meals over the weekend. Lets see how it goes.

Mary, what wonderful news!!!

Cindy, enjoy your weekend of fun! Sounds like you have a great plan to me. My family has a big dinner out tonight (it's a banquet style chicken dinner place) & it's down day. I plan to fast all day and eat as sensibly as possible during dinner since I'm just starting out. I'm sure not going to cancel it b/c it's a down day! LOL

Today's a MD for me today. Gotta get that UD scheduled for Thanksgiving, dontcha know. I'm feeling kind of lost, as it's only my 2nd MD ever. I don't remember feeling lost last time, but it may just be how I'm feeling today in general.

I have ~ 1350 calories to play with, and I think that will be plenty to keep me satisfied. I was a bit worried after DD yesterday that it wouldn't feel like enough, but I finished out last night with that beautiful, empty-but-not-hungry feeling. I don't have that often, but it was satisfying to go to bed feeling like that.

The disappointment was being up a pound this morning, but that may be because I haven't....um.....*gone* since day before yesterday. Anyway.....

My UD is only about 200 more than that so you can definetly eat well. I love yogurt for lunch and there are some that are really yummy. Muller Corner is one of my new favorites. These have a little section with a topping. I like the mini malt ball one. I also really like Chobani mango. These are about 210 and then have a little something with it.

Cindy, make use of the wonderful flexible nature of JUDDD and enjoy dining out with your friends this weekend. It sounds like a good plan.

LCG, I always notice since I'm usually regular, but I am one whose weight will be up at least a bit if I haven't had my regular bm either the day before or that same day, regardless of it's a DD or UD, so I hear ya.

Carly, you look adorable in your new pic! Beautiful smile and look at those collarbones!

Okay, I am going to admit that I have loved peppermint candy ice cream since my first bite as a chlid.

The local dairy makes a wonderful version so I am trying to find a way to fit it into as many UD's as possible......maybe it'll be lunch.

Ugh yucky tummy! I think it was the pickles I snacked on before bed last night... They gave me some acid reflux and my tummy isn't quite sitting right this morning!

I had a terrible time with acid-reflux. I think after the first 15 pounds were gone so was it! It made sleeping a nightmare and it didn't help any that I was doing all that sleepwalking eating... oh, I don't miss that! I hope you start feeling better Thinking Thinly.

So I think this is the first time since JUDDDing that I have been still wide awake at 2am and had a middle of the night meal. It is not particularly shocking that I did it, but just realized it has been a long time since this occurred. Maybe that is a NSV. I am counting it with yesterday's calories as that was an UD and I was a little short. I did two UDs in a row to get switched around for Thanksgiving. It was fun to make that choice without agonizing about it.

Cici, beautiful NSV. Enjoy.
Today on this beautiful UD my goal is to find my scale. It's in a packing box, hiding somewhere.
I do love the shift of focus that happens when I'm away from it. Rotations are all about how by body feels, then, and not about whether I get an A, B+, or F when I step on the thing.
But I also love learning about accountability with JUDDD, and my scale is helpful for that.
