Woohoo! I had an UD yesterday, and for dinner last night, I was alone (hubby works nights) so I decided I wanted a LC burger from Carl's Jr, then I went by Wendy's and got a baked potato because I wanted some french fries but didn't want to get crazy LOL* I ended up only eating half the potato because it's been forever since I had one and I felt apprehensive about it. I had planned my meals for the day and entered everything into ******, then when I ended up going for an unplanned dinner, I lost track of calories. THEN I weighed this morning and had stayed the same! This is great!

Sure is! And the best part for me is that I used to feel such guilt whenever I'd eat, and with JUDDD, even that is gone!!

This has been the same for me. I was truly worried about eating higher calories, fearing the worst would happen. So far so good, and oh so freeing!!

Yanno, Danielle, I had seen your initial posts and was very anxious to talk to you because our stats are similar, but I got side-tracked and didn't do it (seems to happen more, the older I get!) So it's great to "meet" you and I look forward to keeping in touch on this journey! Keep up the great work! VERY freeing, indeed!

Thanks, Dawn. I'm feeling so much better about my new goal. It seems infinitely attainable.

I agree Luv. This is such a flexible program. And it fosters a feeling of reality, and possibility. Other plans made me just feel like it was a pipe dream. This is REAL!

I just got "talked to" at work. I rarely mess up, and never as big as I did this time. Ugh. I missed an important addendum to a project we're working on (I'm the project administrator--so it's totally on me), and it's causing a lot of problems. In my defense, the addendum came out in March, and that's when I was finally diagnosed hypo--I was in full throttle brain-fog at the time, but I can't use that as an excuse. Grrr.

Has nothing to do with JUDDD, but I just wanted to semi-publicly flagellate myself. I'll have a chance in a couple of hours too, because the whole office is meeting to discuss how to fix my mess.

Dawn, you are, after all, human. And we do make mistakes. I hope your co-workers and superiors realize that and don't make it harder on you than it needs to be. After all, I bet none of them are perfect, or even think they are.

We're here for you! Vent away whenever you need to. And remember, we are usually harder on ourselves than on anyone else. Don't be harder on yourself than you would be on someone else that had done the same thing.

Despite my good intentions, my start to the month was a bit of a shambles yesterday because I was invited out to lunch on a DD. I've only 300 cals to play with on a DD and, even being careful, I'd used them all at lunch.

I don't normally eat till the evening on a DD and I was really hungry all in the evening. I can't sleep if I'm hungry and I tried all manner of low-cal fixes but to no avail.

Then I realised I'd be better off having DDs today and on Sunday. So, I decided to turn yesterday into a UD and, much to DH's amusement, I proceeded to have cheesy vegetables with buttered toast and wine - at 11pm.

Felt much better! Slept well and had only put on 0.2 lbs this morning.

Today, I've had a brilliant DD. I had a BP coffee (70 cals) at 2pm and a cuppa tea at 5pm.
I had spicy cabbage with Greek yogurt and PB2 at 8pm. It was yummy and only about 100 cals.

So, I had loads of calories left over for more cuppas and something at bedtime - and I haven't been hungry.

However, I'm resolved to keep keep my rotations as straight as possible for the rest of the month!!!

Hey y'all!! Checking in for the month! Welcome to the new comers checking in. I think you're gonna like it here!

Tomorrow my DH & I are taking our son out to lunch(maybe dinner too!) as well as shopping at the mall. This is what he wants to do for his birthday which is this coming Monday! He's going to be 25!! My baby is no longer a baby.......except to me! ! He has never been one to care much for his birthday until last year. He asked us to take him to a town about 75 miles away for lunch & a trip to the mall. We were shocked and very happy to do it. SO.......all that to say, this year he picked a different town only 70 miles away to do the same things. Looks like we're getting closer to home each year! We live in the country, so we have to drive a ways to get to a mall. I'm not much of a mall person anyway; but, he is & that's all that matters. Think we spoil him much?! He deserves the best life can give him. When you're 25 with the mind of a 6 year old & the body of an infant.......it doesn't take much to make you happy!

Tomorrow I may have an UUAD. I'll see how it goes. But, no matter, I will enjoy my day with my family. No one can tell us how many of these birthdays we will have. So, they are all very special! And God has been so good to us!

Sorry for rattling on. I get a little emotional when it comes to this child of mine. (you should see what a patsy I am for my grandchildren!)

Dawn, my DH says I'm always harder on myself than anyone else could ever be!! He's right. It's a life long habit I learned from my beautiful Mother!

It's finally the weekend! Relax & enjoy it! With that kind of stress, you've earned it!

my no-pastry pumpkin tarts taste so after-tastey from Splenda, I think I might just ditch them

the original recipe called for 3/4 a cup of sugar... I put in 1/4, and the rest in Splenda... but the aftertaste is wicked. uggg

I am going to recalculate the recipe with sugar, maybe cutting it down a bit, and see if it is still low cal enough (I was hoping for DDs even).

Any bakers out there with any ideas for less caloric but non tastes-like-ass sweeteners?

I woke up to a new 'decade' for me this morning! Hit that first 10 pound mark! MD Saturday for me, today. I've made Saturdays MDs so my rotations are the same every week, and so far so good! I've had 2 of them and am doing well

Have fun Shari! Sons are so much fun!

Thank you, Joy!

LCG I am re-thinking my goal too. The goal on my profile is my first big goal, and I had dropped 70# doing LC before (then gained it all back +), and this FINAL (we need a knock-on-wood emote) time with JUDDD, the goal seems attainable. I know it's very early in the process for me with JUDDD, but this WOE is almost effortless and the weight is leaving, faster than with LC, that's for sure! I realize it will slow down, but it's helping me to believe that a lower goal is possible, and I've not felt that with LC alone. I know I'm rambling, so I'll hush for now --can't say for how long! I love JUDDD

Shari, give your boy lots of hugs and wish him a very from these strangers in cyber space.

I am doing much better today, and ready to face this crazy food filled weekend. DH has to go on his liquid diet pre-op on Monday, so he's wanting to eat all the things he won't be able to eat again (at least for a while) after his surgery. I'm not sure what all is on the agenda, but I'm hoping to have a good DD tomorrow anyway. I suspect we may head up the mountain to Chukchansi Gold (casino near Yosemite) for dinner tonight. I may have to save many of my calories for then. They have the best buffet around here.

Shari, have a great time with the birthday boy. There is something to be said for the bond between a mother & her son Mine will be 20 in a few weeks and man, that boy absolutely melts my heart!

Deb, congrat's on the new decade!!! I am having an easier time too with JUDDD. It *feels* different. I'm not sure i can explain it well, but I'm sure everyone knows what I mean. I thought for sure I'd feel icky doing 500 calories, or allowing myself, dare I say, ...... CARBS..... If anything, I think I'm feeling even better. Such a strange, amazing feeling all rolled into one!

Dawn, have a great time with DH. Will be keeping you guys in my prayers as hubby embarks on his journey.

So I ended up going over my DD calories by about 100. I *had* to have some Grapevines at the movies last night. Saw Flight. It was a great flick!
Scale still moved down 1.5 pounds so I guess I did ok. Just need to make sure I don't pull those shenanigans too often.
