Have at least one food you've been craving from the time you were on those other plans. JUDDD doesn't care- just respect your calories!

I continue to follow my plan of nutritional ketosis (net carbs under 30, protein grams under 50, rest fat, no grains or sweeteners, very clean) on up days--I just eat more calories and more fat those days. You don't have to go off a plan that you were following--such as eating low carb--just make sure that you get up to your up day calorie level.

Absolutely, JUDDD is about the calories, not route to them.
Do whatever is good for you Angie. |

Hey Angie (LOVE YOUR NAME lol)
Honestly I have been eating whatever I want (within my calorie limit) and I have been losing weight consistently! Just make sure to get your veggies/fruits/lean protein for nutrients and then have whatever your heart desires!!! LOVE this WOE! |

Every UD, even though I was very careful to count my calories, I went to bed certain I was going to wake up 25 pounds heavier than when I laid down. My average after-UD bounce was two pounds. For some of us, trusting JUDDD - even though we believe in it - takes experience and time. Have a good time exploring formerly forbidden foods! |

If it hasn't already been recommended look through the daily weigher's thread. It helps to see the bounce with the trend being downward.

Hi Angie!
![]() So many people feel afraid to eat when they first start JUDDD. I wasn't one of them, but you are not alone. Dr. Johnson says: "It's important to enjoy eating on the Up Days so that you won't feel deprived and will be able to continue restricting your calories on Down Days." So have whatever you want to eat within your calories. I think that's why we're generally pretty happy around here. |

I absolutely felt kind of guilty for eating larger amounts, or carby type foods in the beginning. To be honest, I still do feel funny about it. I've been a little scared to add back very many carbs, but I know I will eventually. You're not alone!
I hope your UD was yummy and satisfying! |
