Day 9... It's MINE!
Do you go through this with your family members? They keep trying to steal my low calorie food! The 100 calorie popcorn, chicken broth, light mayo, the sugar free hot chocolate, the 35 calorie bread... MINE, MINE, MINE. Hands off! My husband put his hand into my popcorn bag and almost lost his hand.
Hoping for some excitement on the scale tomorrow. I was less than I normally am from an up day. Magic come find me! Todays DD menu: open faced turkey sandwich with lettuce and mustard 65 cals. 100 calorie popcorn tunafish or shrimp for dinner Decided to make my Grandma's Chicken and Dumpling Soup to keep busy this afternoon. Then laundry to fill in the gaps. I'm in a much better mood today. Hope that means the magic is happening! Have a great Tuesday everyone. I think this is the first Halloween in a very long time that I am looking forward to. I always feel so guilty eating any candy on Halloween. This time I'll have some tootsie rolls and just be happy. |

I'm glad today's going a little better for you. We watched movies this past weekend, and it was an UD, and I STILL wouldn't share my 100 calorie popcorn. I made DD and DH their own. I budgeted for it, and it's MINE!
My other trick is to spice the heck out of foods I don't want to share. Or Marmite. Or anything else they don't like. I'm evil like that. ![]() |

Exactly! I've weighed and measured and entered into MasterCook for my daily plan. Don't touch!
Yesterday we bought a package of a dozen Jimmy Dean Delight breakfast sandwiches (250 cals) at Sam's Club. While we were in line to check out OH said, "those look good. I'll have to try 'em." Oh, well. He knew I was looking for a low-cal breakfast sandwich or the ingredients to make some up, and he spotted these, so I guess I'll have to share. |

My DH, when I'd make him the same thing I was having but MORE or more fat and more meat... he'd say "oh, I can't possibly finish all that.."
![]() I'm like, OMG, I could eat mine, and yours, and another serving! UGH! Men ![]() Now he's on JUDDD with me... and he's still the same. Even on a DD-- I can finish a whole bag of slaw in a stir fry, and he's like, oh, I'm full. ![]() Sorry for the threadjack LilD I agree about this Halloween though! It's a dd for me, but I intend to grab one of each of the mini chocolate bars and hoard them till Thursday! ![]() |

Wow- we are all so possessive of our DD food. I won't even share with the cats on a DD. They were psyched that today was an UD since I made salmon!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is possessive of her DD foods! I was laughing at all of your comments because I felt you all had peeked into my house!

Before my lovely man started JUDDDing, the fridge was simple. Everything delicious was ours (the cheese, the steak, the chocolate) and everything diet-y (bagged slaw, iceberg lettuce, egg whites in a carton) was mine.
These days he's into my stash. Now, when we shop, I ask, are you going to eat this? He inevitably says, I don't know. I inevitably answer: Honey, I appreciate your spontaneity and your indecision (sort of), and I'm thrilled you're JUDDDing, but until you get a bit more organized, do NOT touch my DD food. ![]() |

Kristin, the "I don't know" sounds like my husband (so I guess I have to be pleased he warned me about the breakfast sandwiches).

I am very possessive of my DD cals... man, each one of them is precious! I did let BF have half a Special K crisp cracker the other day (2 cals lol). he can eat whatever he wants whenever he wants, and is bordering on too skinny, so paws off boy-o!
he is pretty good about keeping things like red licorice in his office... and sticking to dill pickle chips, which I think are yucky. and he almost has memorized after 10 weeks my UD and DD (which are fixed) ![]() |

This ridiculous food guarding I had to do is why I could not stick to Atkins - too tempting to my husband to nibble away at anything I made in advance and rationed out for lunches, etc - but he has literally: Eaten a whole 3 breasts of chicken "just having a pinch" leaving me 3 small slices, he just opened and at a WHOLE BALL of fresh mozzarella on its own, rather than use it in a salad (which I could do, as I love it - but he always says "I don't really like mozzarella that much" then EATS IT ALL!
(I am still harbouring a little resentment about this because I loved Atkins and so many other things in my life are compromised to his "issues" as is... but I JUDDD so far, started on a DD, and today is my 2nd UD - looking forward!) ETA: That's why I like this better, I just make lots of stuff he doesn't like on DDs lol. /threadjackLast edited by witchyanne; 11-04-2012 at 08:57 PM.. |
