The family that JUDDDs together....finds rotations much easier to handle.

Congratulations Jem! That must make you happy, proud, and hopeful!

Thats awesome! I wish I could get someone in my family to do it with me. At the moment, they think im on some crazy starvation diet on my DD. But on my UD, they always make comments such as "is that a part of your diet...." . lol.

My mom is on Weight Watchers and it works great for her, because she can do the whole "moderation" thing. So at least she makes yummy healthy meals.

Good luck to you and your daughter!!!

I told her about JUDDD when I visited in the early summer.

I didn't think she paid any attention but then one of her friends told her about success w hcg and my daughter said, ' my mom told me about this every other day plan'.

Since then she has done lots of googling....then she called me w a few question. Needless to say, I was surprised.

She had a good DD and really wasn't obsessing re what she would eat on UD.....LOVES that it's only one day at a time!!

Just to let you know; she live 8 hours from me so it's all about the phone. Still when I visit, we will make our schedules match.

How great, Jem! Isn't it great to have a loved one to share that with? You're a good ambassador.

I've been telling my mom about it, and I think she's intrigued. She's 79 and very healthy, but would like to lose maybe 20 to 25 pounds. She said just the other day "I wonder if I could do what you're doing?" I just keep working it, and if she's really interested, I'll be glad to have her with me!

How exciting! I know having my DH follow this with me has been good. Although, since he is a MAN, he drops weight easily and is already at GOAL! MEN

How lovely for you both. I do hope she has as much success as you have had.

My gorgeous DD MintQ8 was doing this with me earlier this year and it was just wonderful. She did incredibly well too. She is on and off at present but doing her best

Sorry to threadjack BUT did your DH start with you from the beginning? Or did you have to show him this WOE worked? I want DH to do this with me but at this point he thinks it sounds too crazy.

Donna, you can add me to the list of JUDDD BUDDDs whose DH watched, and made sarcastic comments, and eventually decided to give it a try. He is 24 pounds down - lower than he has been in decades - and talking about 'another 20 or 30 won't be hard at all'.

end thread jack

NOTHING is more convincing than success.

My husband is also JUDDDing. He's really doing more of a 5:2 plan, but when he doesn't like the bounce, he does more. He has next to nothing to lose, but his blood pressure is what he needs to watch and this has helped.

My DH has done JUDDD off and on with me "when he feels like it." He's a great sport, and even takes my DDs into consideration when meal planning. He's having WLS in a couple of weeks though, so he's not interested in doing ANY down days before then!

DW thought I was nuts when I started in March... well the proof was in the pudding (or anything else I enjoyed on an UD) and she's been JUDDDing since June 25th. She has lost 20lbs. Some of her DDs were questionable at best, but she likes it for the most part and I don't feed her as much on DDs so that has helped, too.

My daughter is finishing her first week and I am a bit envious that it's been so easy.

She's following the 500 cal DD but I don't think she ever eats that much.
Doesn't count UD but has not had any urge to binge or overeat.
She also has increased energy....already!!

Last night she said that her greek yogurt had 80 cals so she had to go for a different brand.
She likes to stick w around 60 and goes 'eeeek' when it's beyond that....so funny....I said 'that sounds sick!!' Thank goodness we all understand. We got a good laugh out of it.
Her goal is to have no more than 100 cal mini meals.

I do not know when she will try on her test clothing....maybe at 2 weeks?
I do know that I'd be curious....

Great news Jem!

Maybe she will try on her test clothing when her regular clothes start falling off?

Nancy, I think she will notice it in her regular clothes before that.

She said last night that she was going to wait because she does not want to be disappointed.

She keeps EOD rotation and was saying that Sat there's a B'day party so I suggested a MD.
She was not interested and since the main thing she wants is some alcoholic beverage, she's going to save her cals and have a small meal w her drink.
I mentioned the cake/ice cream and she said since it is not gluten free, will not be consumed....she is a celiac and was very ill at one time.
