Medium Day Happy Dance!

Yesterday was my first Medium Day since starting. I didn’t plan it, however maybe I should have -- it was our 31st Anniversary (already). To my regular fare, I added a very special treat: two Fleur de Sel Caramels – the dark chocolate variety. They are the ultimate, simply heavenly! Are any of you old enough to remember “Snuffles” the dog on the cartoon Quick Draw McGraw? That’s how I feel after having one of those!

BONUS!!! I had a visit from the Whoosh Fairy this morning! Perhaps it is the “Snuffles” levitation that has me lighter on the scale, OR maybe it’s my body suggesting a dark-chocolate caramel fast would be just the thing!

What a wonderful number on your ticker-number thingie today Connie -71.9 (I type that because it changes so fast later if someone reads this thread they will wonder!).

I like MDs fine and never seemed to feel there was a problem with them. Have never felt I had a whoosh after, though - Woo Hoo!

Yes, the floating happy Snuffles. That's a great visual! Definitely how a delish dessert can make you feel when you know it will be all right to splurge a little.

Here is 14 seconds of Snuffles happiness.

Just found this happy thread, Connie. I loved the animation, thanks Whittle!

I, too, love your digital scale and watch avidly for the whooshes.

An anniversary celebration with what sounds like mmmmmmmmmmmm sweets adding up to a MD and a whooooosh!?!!?!?!

There is no doubt in my mind that your body is hinting once in awhile a few Fleur de Sel dark chocolate Caramels will be very, very good for you!!! As I say frequently: Don't you just love the things JUDDD teaches us about ourselves? I mean, who knew or could have guessed that one?

(Now, the burning question is, are they good for me????)

Whitlin' Thank You for embedding the cartoon -- I didn’t realize that could be done!

Nancy, these caramels are so close to heaven, they MUST be good for every body! (; They certainly soothe any desire to be totally pampered and spoiled. However, priced at $2 for one small piece, a rare treat they are. I’m pretty sure that if the price was lower, people might actually hurt themselves!

LoCarbGal, if they have these at Trader Joe's...then I am in big trouble! We made a a 20-mile trek through heavy traffic to get these. Just in case though, I think I’ll stay out of TJs!

For those of you who have not tasted soft buttery caramels, enrobed in dark chocolate and finished with a sprinkling of hand-harvested sea salt from Brittany – be aware they are potentially addictive!

Off to errands now, have a great day!

Yesterday I was out running around with Mom. She's been asking for ideas for gifts for my birthday, and we were at Trader Joe's and I told her she could get me a package of the Fleur de Sel caramels. She now has them, and I have to wait for another month to taste them. TORTURE! They aren't the chocolate covered ones though, alas. I still can't wait!

I tried the Trader Joe Fleur de Sel caramels, and they are quite yummy! (:
Also, tried the chocolate-covered and caramels being sold at Costco. However, compared to the dark chocolate Fleur de Sel caramels from Oh! Chocolate I must tell you that both of those are: Not.Even.Close.

If you are really brave, and can resist total addiction, I believe mail order is an option.

I just signed up at Oh! Chocolate. Any company that thinks in terms of Mango Habanero Dark Chocolate truffles deserves my support!!!

NANCY!!!! OMG...Please be careful!!!
Their truffles are okay, especially the habanero, but still pale in comparison to their caramels.

If you like some heat in your chocolate (who ever thought of this delight?) there is another chocolatier here, Theo, who produces caramels which are infused with ghost chiles. Very good! And yet hotter, total treat is their PILI PILI CHILI Dark Chocolate bar (the one in the bright yellow wrapper). Highly recommended!

I didn't know about ANY of these items until I had to research for a group gift for a very special guest who came to our area recently. I "tested" products at three of the best chocolatiers in our area. I rank them:

Oh! Chocoloate Fluer de Sel Carmels (dark)
Theo ECI Pili Pili Dark Chocolate Bar
Theo Ghost Chili Caramels
Fran's Salted Caramels

I must STOP....this is a DD!
