calm and choiceful at a buffet, who knew?
![]() seriously... I cannot tell you how many times a buffet had me in overeating mode. ![]() I feel so much more trusting of it's not now or never, but actually it's now, and in 2 days, and 4 days... and so on. All these foods will recur, not vanish... and I am not locked up in some dang jail, on the lam, going crazy cuz I am going back to jail. I love being able to be very choosy, and not take anything I don't love, and furthermore, leave stuff on my plate that was saltier, or soggier, or greasier than I thought when I picked it. Had a tiny piece of cheesecake and half a piece of baclava for desert, and feel perfectly full, not overstuffed and gross , which is truly self-care and consideration. thank you JUDDD ![]() |

I adore buffets! Even more now that JUDDD has taught me I don't have to shovel it all in. I love choosing foods I really want, taking small portions knowing I can have seconds if I really want to, really tasting so many wonderful flavors! And, as you say, if some food does not meet my expectations, I don't even think about putting it aside...I just do it.

Yay tooraloora! What a great feeling, isn't it?
Recently I went to a rehearsal dinner for a family wedding that fell on a down day. I fasted all day, but just decided to eat sensibly and if it was on the high side or an MD, that was OK. The butternut squash ravioli entree was a little too sweet for my taste. It wasn't bad; I just didn't love it. So despite that being my only meal of the day, I ate less than half of it and enjoyed wine and salad for my calories instead, and was perfectly happy with that. That was a great feeling! And I was chuckling inside and thinking of how we sometimes say on JUDDD .... that is just not good enough for my calories. ![]()
