Lou, that is the plan I would go with too. Have fun, it isn't all about the food.

Hi Jan, I was up a bit too and it is great to see my lower numbers again.

Hello,

I saw Kissa's message in the September thread and decided to add here.
Hoping to keep myself accountable. I have been doing JUDDD/Low Carb for 14 days so far.

Here is my introduction post...

Hello All,

Just wanted to jump in to say hi and THANK YOU. I have been a lurker for a couple of weeks and have decided to give JUDDD a try. With the help of all the great advice i have read on here, I am hoping to get to my goal weight. I am so happy to have found this WOE as I have missed some of the "normal" foods since starting Atkins in June. I have been losing on Atkins, be it slowly, the last couple of months before starting JUDD/LC, but it was super slooooow the last couple of weeks before my transition over. I can't wait for your insight and help in my journey. I am very excited. I hope i will become a good "loser" too. Thank you all in advance for your support and kindness.

God Bless!

I hope all the newbies are enjoying JUDDD so far (I'm sure you are ). I know I am! I have just completed my 3rd week on JUDDD and due to weigh in in a couple of days. I would like to weigh in on a set day each week but because I do strict rotations my weigh in day is every 8 days and different day each week if I want to weigh after a DD.

Although I would love to see a loss on the scales this week I need to remember not to be disappointed because I've lost a good amount in my first 2 weeks and TOM arrived at the weekend

Does anyone know when I will be able to add a signature? Is it after a certain number of posts? I tried to find this out in the FAQ section but couldn't find the answer.

Good morning! I need to post quickly before I get ready for work! Thanks so much to all the experienced JUDDDers that are helping us newbies get started I'm on day 6 (UD) and I honestly don't feel ravenous from yesterday and I know it'll be a challenge to get all my calories in (2250) today. This is soooo NOT the norm for me because I LOVE to eat! Do any of you vets of JUDDD just not feel like eating as much as is called for on an UD? I promise I am not meaning to sound bratty by saying that! I need to add that I am LCing for my UD's because I feel so much better doing so. I *really* admire all of you and can't wait to continue reading and learning from you!

While it sounds like a lot of food, many of us find if we don't eat at least close to our UD allotment, we don't lose as well. I suggest calorie dense foods, which are easy to find in the low carb realm. On UDs, stick to fattier cuts of meats, add avocado, butter, nuts, nut butters, oils, etc. You'd be surprised how quickly you can hit 2250!

Hi Deb! Dawn's advice is right on. Calorie dense foods are yummy, and don't make you feel horribly stuffed. I'm really into peanut butter right now.

I did have that feeling of "OMG, how am I going to eat all this?" in the beginning. Not a problem at all now. Adult beverages also help get some calories into you (if you're into that) and make you feel indulgent. I'm all about the vodka gimlet (I see you Kissa!)

Hi LCG! How are you?

OOOO I *love* peanut butter! Woohoo@having that! I made SF pudding, but with almond milk and I don't know if that will set or not, but we'll see! I haven't given myself permission to not feel guilty while eating in so long. Wow that hit me hard! Brand-new realization there! And I feel like JUDDD is the answer. No more guilt

Ha, ha, Deb, I see you are getting the hang of this.

Isn't it wonderful not to feel guilty eating food? I had a slice of cake with a coffee yesterday morning, a year ago, I couldn't have done that without feeling as if I was wicked and ruining my health.

Thank you KeirasMom .

So had a lost of 0.75lb but feel very bloated because of TOTM so still a loss which is good. I might start weighing in every 2 weeks after my next weigh in.

I'm a restarter and starting tomorrow. So, if I remember right tomorrow is an UD. I will do 1900 UD's and 375 DD's.
When I did JUDDD before, I only did it for 2 weeks because the DD's got to me. This time I will stick to it and believe it gets better over time.
I will post my stats tomorrow morning.

Welcome back to JUDDD, Tay! I've found the ability to tell myself that I can have "something tomorrow" very empowering. This is the best diet plan I think I have ever found, it's really so easy once you learn to postpone desire to another day. It's only taken me 2 months, and I've made a major shift in the extra weight I was carrying. It's not fast, but if you can be steady with the rotations, those half pound drops start to add up very nicely.

Nice to see you back. Come and vent here if you are having difficulties, You might enjoy this thread. How is your DD going today?

Well, today was my sandwich lunch. Turns out the other mum cooked pasta with pesto... and garlic bread... Danger zone! I tucked into a small bowl if pasta (no cheese), had a few bites of garlic bread and a lowcalorie cup cake I prepared myself. Not ideal but not a blow out by any stretch of the imagination. Do feel bloated now but know I'll be fine without food for the rest if the day (which I'll call intermediate) and continue as normal tomorrow. If it affects the scales, so be it. I felt in control/at peace with how things went so I'm happy. Go JUDDD
