Considering doing an "egg day" just enough to keep me not too hungry at one time. Packing for my trip to Seattle tomorrow. Any JUDDD budds up there?

Still looking for company I wish I was closer

I might do an egg day tomorrow myself. Gosh I need to start doing JUDDD. I think next week I am going to start, while doing P3. A week of P3 is enough for me to feel like I can do alternate day dieting.

I had 2 hb eggs, apple, some salmon and some broccoli slaw. Good DD, maintenance style!

No, Dawn, I have a companion from my management classes going with me - just wondered if any JUDDD budds were up there

And jump on in! I think a week of P3 regular style is fine, you should be tanked up and ready to go!

Hi all! I'm new to JUDDD and I just want to tell you how much I love it! I have done low carb off and on for probably 15 yrs. I had great success the first time I did it, but never found the same results on subsequent attempts, which I think happens with many people. Any way, I found myself with an extra 10 lbs AGAIN in Aug and went low carb to try to get rid of it. I also started lurking on this board and learned about something I had never heard of, JUDDD! I was intrigued. After two tortuous months on lc I had only lost 4 lbs so I decided to try JUDDD. It's been just over three weeks and I have lost 7 more lbs! It's unbelievable that I can diet only half the time and eat whatever I want the other half of the time and lose weight. I'm 51 yrs old, not extremely over weight, but still losing and I never feel deprived. So I dropped my goal weight from 138 to what I would really like to weigh 130, I just never before thought it was attainable - until JUDDD. I have had a couple difficult DD but I think it was because I didn't eat enough the previous day. Most DD I feel calm an happy that I don't have to worry about what I'm going to eat. I could go on and on about how much I love this WOE but the best thing is I think I can stick to this for life!
Happy JUDDDer,
Michelle

Meek, keep on keeping on

Michelle, so happy you joined us here! I believe many of us are your age, myself included. I've battled my weight since puberty and after menopause, no matter what I did, I just couldn't keep the scale from creeping up. However, with JUDDD, not only have I lost the last 10# (which for my size, is ~12% of my current weight), I'm seriously grooving on the non-scale victories: enhanced memory performance and improved mental outlook.

BTW, my new avatar is a reflection of what JUDDD has done for me in two short months, taken two weeks ago at my cousin's wedding Like you, I've lowered my goal weight, because I think I can get there this time

Hi! I'm Melissa! I'm starting today after a disastrous attempt (again) at LC. I am 31 (about to be 32 in November) and a book worm. I work from home and run a blog about books. I am NOT good at diets. I love food. I am very excited to get to know everyone and see how this goes! I have a very good feeling about JUDDD.

My starting weight: 143lbs (although this weight is 4 days old so honestly I don't know what I am at now.

My goal: 119lbs to 120lbs.

I'm 5'0 tall. If that gives you any perspective!

Hi Melissa and .

I hope this is the answer to your weight issues. You are a tiny little thing, little and good as they say. Post here often and ask lots of questions, you will find lots of help and support on the JUDDD board.

Good morning everyone.

I am a returner, finally taking the path back to JUDDD after an absence of more than a month. Won't bore you with all my excuses, but it's time to get back on track. I know this WOE works for me, and I enjoy being part of this special group of people.

So here goes.....I recommit today, up 3.5lb from my weight in my stats. I am SO ready for a DD.

Here's to a good week for us all

Hi folks,

Some advice needed please... I'm on a Tues, Thurs, Sat rotation for my DDs and have been invited for lunch by the mother of my little boy's friend on Thurs. She suggested to come for sandwiches before their play date.

I'm loathe to change my rotations when I'm only just back on track and I usually don't eat until around 2.30 on a DD so am a little worried about how I'd cope if I ate 400-500 @ lunch as I've never done that before.

What's my best plan do you think???

Thanks, Lou

LL, I wish I could help with your question, but I will leave that to Buddds with more experience.
I just want to check in and say welcome to our new friends. This is a great place to be.
Today is an UP day for me and I am starting my second week.
I have not weighed yet.
Blessings,
Pat

Hey Lou,
A few thoughts:
1. If you feel relaxed about these things, you can say yes to the invite and eat something small and eat it slowly.
2. If you don't feel totally at ease (because you don't want to squander your weeny cals on a midday sandwich, or you want to feed yourself well at night, or you're concerned that the sandwich will lead to a face-in-a-pie evening), you can say you can't get there till the main event or something similar.
3. And, if you care deeply about the sandwich part of the day, you can change your rotation.
It is wonderful to go in with a strategy. And no matter what happens, you'll learn things that'll make your JUDDD trip easier, smarter, and more fun going forward.

Let us know how it goes! We all have something to learn from your experience.

Thank you Pat & Joy Joy. There's something about hearing the options as positive suggestions that helps I reckon I'll go with no.1. I can eat small & slowly &, if it comes to it, shovel some food onto the kids' plate. And I'll plan a HB egg rather than a pie-in-the-face evening. We'll see how it pans out (fingers crossed)!
