I am sure you are all of those things but I also know that every single 'nth' of a pound counts for you. So seriously well done lady.
Awww, Kissa, that is sooo sweet!! Thank you for your kind reflections. Did your mother have trouble keeping her weight down? I got my very short stature from my mother's side of the family - all of the women on that side are overweight or obese. I haven't seen some of them for a couple of years, will see them at my cousin's wedding tomorrow (changed my rotations to make it an up day ). Don't know if they'll say anything, but my beloved grandmother will probably comment, teehee!

SICCHI,

I'm so glad you're feeling better. It's amazing how JUDDD helps us with food issues.

I've been reading some of your posts about feeling cold on DDs, and I hadn't had that at all....until today. I had nothing but BPC this morning, until dinner tonight at about 7:00pm. Around 4:00 I noticed my hands were cold, and pretty soon I felt like I wanted to curl up under a blanket. Interesting! Anyone know why that happens? Just curious.

Sicchi, feeling free now is a fantastic result of your JUDDD journey so far!! There's much more to this than just numbers on a scale.

Luv2eat, you said you lost weight quickly at first - lucky you!
Definitely sounds as if your body was doing some major readjusting. If you're really uncomfortably hungry on either a UD or a DD, you can always tweak your calories up a bit for the day - use Dr Johnson's chart to help you stay within weight-losing limits. If you do it in a planned way, you won't be cheating. The whole point of JUDDD is to have an IF regimen that we can actually stick with. Great that you're identifying your triggers.

I have been on JUDDD now for about 5 weeks and I have lost 8 lbs. It is a learning process but with the great support here, I have found this WOE is something that I can actually stick with. I am so glad that I decided to join this group.

Lee55, you are doing great. JUDDD truly is the easiest thing to stick with IMHO and so forgiving of the occasional deviation. Looks like you started just a couple days after me. So glad you are here. Hope you stick around.

So, I finally broke out of the 160's, this morning, the scale read, 159.5!!! For some weird reason, I've really been looking forward to this number change.

LoCarbGal, I've wondered that too about being cold. I googled it, livestrongDOTcom/article/305720-how-come-when-you-lose-weight-you-feel-cold/ this article suggests calorie reduction.

I'm not convinced though. Back 100 years ago when I was a skinny minnie I was always cold, it was a standing joke, cold hands, warm heart. I was not calorie restricting in those days! I exercised, ate whatever I wanted, still cold extremities.

What I noticed from this WOE is thirst. Not so much anymore at 6 weeks in, but I was really thirsty when I first started this.

New decade = awesome Dakini!

Well I seem to specialise in learning the hard way and I did it again yesterday!

I inserted a MD on Friday, so that yesterday could be a UD to accomodate a lunch out with friends. Lunch was soup, cake, coffee and delicious. However, I found myself not hungry at all last night, after having had only about 700 cals for lunch.

I really wanted a good UD so I could re-establish rotations with a DD today. So, at around 9pm, I forced myself to eat some wholemeal toast and, to get the calories near to UD level, some lovely full fat chili brie. I also shared a bottle of wine with DH. What a terrible thing to have to force myself to do!

Then the nibbles struck and I had a tiny packet of mini cheddars biscuits, hardly a mouthful in all. THEN I looked at the label for the mini cheddars. 540 calories. I could have had some more toast for half that amount - and it would have been real food!!!

So, what have I learned? Well, I've got my DD staples down to a fine art but I need to find some UD staples too, so that if I'm not hungry during the day, I can eat something healthy and appropriate later in the evening, as necessary.

I've been caught out twice this week by eating things DH has brought home, namely the scones and the mini cheddars. I don't even go down those supermarket aisles!

Moral, I mustn't eat any prefab snacks without checking labels and doing the arithmetic first!!!!!!

DD today and I have a yummy chili veg sauce to go with shiritaki noodles, so I know that will be a doddle. Thank goodness!

Thanks ladies! I'm out of town this weekend, which is good in keeping me off the scale today.

Great story, Flozzieliz, it's amazing how many calories little "snacks" might have, easily more than what we might eat for a DD.

Chili Brie, hmmmm, I've never heard of that, sounds good.

Fantastic Jacci, a new decade. Well done for sticking with it.

Now you've finished with the whoosh fairy, please can I entertain her for a couple of days?

Hello my lovely British friends, isn't this autumn sunshine magical? Makes the DDs even easier. Fitting in to the size 38 pencil skirt in Zara may have had something to do with it too.

Jacci, what a nice whoosh, 2 pounds down! Congratulations!!! (I had to convert what a stone is, we're still a bit behind the times in the US with that, 14 pounds, that's great!)

Kissa, I don't think I'll ever be able to pull off a pencil skirt, (I'm too bottom heavy) bet it looks great!
