I know you eat the small chili, Dawn.
What else do you order? Do you eat it every down day? I made hard boiled eggs and cabbage stir fry for DD tomorrow. I am struggling to jump start my Juddd Journey, but I am NOT giving up. Thanks. Pat |

I thought you'd all get a kick out of that! Yes, she's commented a couple of times about my loss, and I told her it's the chili.
Today, she asked for specifics. I wrote down the info for her to check out Dr. Johnson's website. If she still seems interested in the next few visits, I'll direct her here as well.I don't eat the chili EVERY down day, though I do eat it MOST down days. I just order a small chili and a small diet coke for 210 calories total. I bring my habanero hot sauce because I like it better than their chili seasoning, though you can get that for 5 calories per packet (I use 2 when I use it). It's very filling and if I skip breakfast, have that for lunch, I'm usually fine with a small dinner and that's it for DDs.

And if WE are interested, no doubt a lady who has seen your transformation in person would take notice! That's a nice compliment to you, Dawn, that she is listening to you. |

Wendy's Chili
1 pound ground chuck 1 15−ounce can of diced tomatoes (liquid included) 1 15−ounce can of red kidney beans (liquid drained) 1 15−ounce can of pinto beans (liquid drained) 1 8−ounce can Hunt's tomato sauce 1/2 medium white onion, diced 1 4−ounce can diced green chilies (with liquid) 2 Tablespoons chopped celery 2 Tablespoons chili powder 1/2 Tablespoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1 cup water 1. Brown the ground chuck over medium heat, breaking into small pieces with the spatula. Add a dash of salt and pepper while cooking. 2. Empty the cooked meat into a spaghetti strainer, and rinse well under very hot water. This removes the bulk of the fat. 3. Transfer the beef into a dutch oven, and add the remaining ingredients. Stir together to combine thoroughly. 4. Over medium heat, bring to a simmer. Reduce the burner to low, and continue simmering 50−60 minutes, stirring occasionally. -------------------------------------------------------------------- A friend gave me a cookbook that had this in! Enjoy! How much is a small serving, a cup or less? Leona

That awesome, Dawn!
![]() My husband and I went to Wendy's for some DD chili last week thanks to your recommendation! It is so filling! My DH usually saves all of his calories for one meal at the end of the day, so he got a small chili, plain baked potato and brought laughing cow cheese with! Yum! ![]() |

Ok, 2 things here:
1) You should totally dress as "Wendy" for Halloween and go around with your daughter ![]() 2) per the wendy's canada site, a small chili is 227 g. Which is round about a cup, liquid volume(ish). The large says 340g, 310 calories. So, almost a 1:1 ratio of grams weight to calories (more or less). Back to Dawn being Wendy for Halloween... ![]() |

Even if a person were to add a t of sour cream, that doesn't add much! Next week I am going to do this on one of my DD's. Tomorrow (DD for me) we have a broc/chicken soup that is to DIE for. It fills me up too!
