Indeed life does happen! My little Freya is the best surprise though! She is now 2 1/2 and I now know why you need to be youngish to be a parent, if I have her all day to myself I am shattered well and truly!! I have 2 boys so its fab to have a little girlie in the family, she loves my painted nails and my earrings aka Nannas twinkly bits! Cant wait for girlie shopping trips with her. On a serious note she is my main reason for wanting to lose this weight, with my bone thing this year it made me worried I wouldnt be around for her.
So Im going to become as healthy as I can and obviously this weight has to go!! Take care all!! x |

PJ, I'm so glad you are feeling better! It's been 20+ years since I've had a TOM; but, that's something you never forget!
![]() Soren, I've only heard/read of magic pops. I've not seen any tho in the stores I shop. ![]() Jacci, my first granddaughter was a huge surprise, too! She is now 21 & is such a beautiful young woman. To me, she will always be Grandma's little angel girl! I now have 3 granddaughter's & 3 grandson's! My life is very busy. Your little angel is beautiful! |

Is it the weather? It is rainy/dreary here, but you are living all over the place. A couple days ago I noticed that everyone in WLM was losing weight, having good DDs, generally happy, self included.
Today, after a tough and hungry DD yesterday which ended up in the 45% range, I am tired of thinking about food. Despite the potential freedom JUDDD offers, I am obsessed with counting calories, checking in and reading all the threads, miserable about failing to get DDs right. I hate being hungry. If I'm busy, I usually do better, but a day home alone and it is not pretty. I am long past TOM or blaming it on hormones. I noticed today that several have had an off weekend and are not happy about the way they feel today or the weight bounce. Am I imagining the trend of group ups and downs? Today is an UD. The weight was down a bit but not yet to my low of last week. I have a full day planned. I will probably eat leftovers for the most part and hopefully get my head back in gear for tomorrows DD. I want that skinny gene! ![]() Just sayin'.

post Thanksgiving (Canadian... late)
we celebrated TG this weekend as my exH had my kids last weekend. My parents came down.
So Fri UD... had a lovely dinner at a new resto, shared several things w my son, and just tried to eat until happy belly, but not overeating Sat MD: well I did not count but likely ended up more like an UD, but again, no overeating or binging (and while I my parents, they can also stress me out, and I started with eating to soothe myself as a teen in their home, so sometimes that link is something I can still feel... and resist!)Sun UD... our big turkey and sides and pie and icecream day... I overate just a little... but not UUAD, not binging, so that was good, esp. for my belly, as even so, I felt a little bloated and not used to rich food... Today: well today would be an UD usually as I teach indoor cycling and doing that on DD seems unwise... but I am going to aim for a MD, because I really want to get back on track... even though the apple pie leftovers on the counter 2 feet away have beckoned... but I had egg whites and one egg scrambled instead. whew! definitely felt that old urge to overeat because of stress (from the demands of the weekend... and a busy busy week), and the abandon of "screw it, off the hook". have not binged since Aug 25 when I started JUDDD... and while I likely at some point, will... I am trying to not subject myself to that experience of and , for such a fleeting relief of stress. well over and out... just wanted to check in as part of staying in. |

I thought I was doing pretty good at trying the vegetarian route with JUDDD. Turns out I am alergic to a lot of things I didn't know I was
like soy, wheat and possibly nuts, beans and dairy So the plan is to be vegetarian on DD and just eat just vegetables on my DD. As long as I stay with JUDDD everything will work out fine. My DDs are very empowering My body wants to be LC so I guess I will be LC/JUDDD. I have been on a 40 day fast, fasting meat and sweets. So since I can't have a lot of things I was eating for the fast and I can't eat meat for a few more days, I have been eating eggs ,vegetables and fruit. I actually feel really good and it is making my DD even easier, so maybe this is really good for me. This has been the problem with me for a while now. Jump from one diet to the next and never sticking to anything, but with JUDDD I just have to stick to my DD and things are working out fine. I believe I can do this TOM showed up so I can't weigh. I will update as soon as I can. Love to all ![]() |

Well done Tooraloora, I think you have done amazingly well considering you had a few stressful things going on there. No binging is huge, you should be delighted with yourself.
Sunshine, you do have some issues to deal with don't you? Your plan sound good though. I love veggies on DD's as you get so many for your buck! |

Sunshine, isn't it helpful though to realize that on JUDDD no matter which foods we learn are best for us to eat, at least we don't have restrictions from our WAY of eating. All foods are fine on JUDDD, just not all calorie totals.
Wanted to come in and share that I giggled at anyone who would announce that they knew how well a 5-6 year old child is going to read in the future. Must have been a very inexperienced teacher to believe that was true. (Pat) Soren, sending you warm thoughts! Think quilts! Very much enjoyed all the comments on Jenny's thoughts. Worthwhile reading. Jenny, yep you could'a certainly done without all of that negativity. But you don't seem dented to us at all! You're very FlossyLiz, I love your avatar! Sweet and fun and just the right size. jacci, I'm glad you got yours to work - lovely photo.

Woohoo! I have an appointment with an Endocrinologist on Wednesday. Please, please, please let her be up to date on the latest thyroid research!
I'd sure like to start feeling human again soon. I got some good advice on the thyroid board here from Leo ~ she really knows her stuff! I can't wait. |

Oh I am so pleased Dawn, this has been such a struggle for you I know. It seems incredible that it has been so hard for you to see an expert. Leo41 is a fount of knowledge on so many things, we are lucky to have her.

Good news - I dropped 4# in one week on JUDDD!
I started back on JUDDD with a DD on Monday at 145#.... saw 143# by Tues, but didn't seem to be going lower, and in fact went back to 144# (even after a DD). But on Sunday when I got on the scale, I was 141# so yippee! ![]() I'm not counting vegetables (except starches like corn and potatoes), most fruits, my powdered green drink mixed with some apple juice, small amount of coconut oil, etc. I'm not even counting red wine (shhhh!!) I've cut back on the wine though.I've had some trouble getting enough calories on my UD's, especially since I tend to eat lower fat now for my gallbladder and hormones. And the fruit and vegs help keep me fuller now that I eat more than I used to. But I'm mostly getting there calorie-wise or close enough. KUTGW, everyone! ![]()
