Add a little splash of HWC, like a tsp or so along with the butter and CO. It helps emulsify the fat a bit and keeps it blended with the hot liquid longer. Or at least it does with my tea. It also gives an even better foam when blended than the butter/CO alone.

What about doing this with tea (since I should most definitely NOT have caffeine later in the day due to insomnia) after eating protein in the morning for breakfast? Like using the tea and butter to "fast" after lunch through the evening and skip dinner? I end up with a corker of a headache if I don't have protein for breakfast or an early lunch with protein. And then even later after eating it takes forever to go away.

Most people use it as a way of extending their overnight fast;
so it won't have the same effects for you
(could be a good thing, if you don't respond well to long periods of fasting).

You could consider it a "snack" between breakfast & lunch, and after lunch.

People in Tibet drink butter tea all day long! Go for it!!!

It never occured to me to eat butter plain. Peanut butter- yes! Right out of the jar with a spoon.

I am now hooked on this coffee. I have it all day and it really does keep you fasting until mid afternoon.

I never gave up my beloved butter even when the margarine manufacturers had all around me eating Flora etc for their health. I feel very smug now that those polyunsaturates have turned out to be bad news.

I top my coffee with cinnamon for the extra taste and it has insulin steadying properties.

Oh lord, I love butter. I often take a little bit on my finger, though not since JUDDDing and counting all those pesky calories. Who knew there were others?

OMG you guys I'M SO HAPPY (that I'm not alone)

DH and I compare things TO butter... like, triple cream brie, tastes like cheesy butter. Foie gras is like meat butter...etc

for the record, though I'll eat any dairy butter, salted is my preference.

And to return you to your regularly schedule BPC (or T) thread-- today, I had 10g of butter (unsalted) straight (thinking of those of you who mentioned the "fat bomb" concept) and then had my black chai tea later in the morning at work.

Totally good till 4pm. Only drank that tea and a bottle of water during the day at work.

thanks again to everyone for figuring this out and publicizing it.
S.

Has anyone else had problems with lower back and stomach pain in the late afternoon/early evening if you can't drink another BPC to stay in a fast? I worked 2nd shift yesterday and I was fine until around 7:30 p.m. then my lower back started hurting. I couldn't have another BPC but I carried a jar of peanut butter to work with me and ate 4 tbsp of that for "dinner". it didn't help with the back pain.

Just a curious question. If I can stay in fasting mode, I have no problems, but once fasting mode starts to wear off, so to speak, I always have painful DD's. Any suggestions? The BPC does seem to help with this problem but can't do them at work.

Perhaps the simple butter or CO would work? Can you store those at work.

Posted this elsewhere too, but I had that for breakfast today, and half that as a snack just now. Did have black tea as well, and really noticed when the energy kicked in.

I have never heard of back pain being associated with lack of food before. My guess is that it's fatigue. I don't think fasting mode wears off--unless you eat.

Are you on your feet at work?
Any chance you're getting dehydrated?
(If you're fasting, maybe you're not getting the fluids you would normally get from veggies, broth, soup, etc)
Maybe this is kidney pain from standing and/or dehydration?

Also--when fasting, it is possible to get low on electrolytes, and that can lead to muscle cramps. Magnesium often helps me when I'm experiencing pain (any kind--sore muscles, menstrual cramps, headaches, etc).

I used to work very demanding shifts on the most horrid floor--stone tiles over concrete!!! I was in terrible pain all the time, and tried many different supplements--the job was at a health food store! I spent so much money there just so I could try to keep working there. A couple things that did help: B-complex vitamins (maybe because they help repair nerve damage) and plenty of omega-3 oils (Barlean's Essential Woman was my favorite).

If you don't stand at your job, I guess this info won't be helpful.

Last month, right around TOM, and about a week into starting JUDDD, I had a horrible lower back muscle spasm. I didn't, at all, attribute it to JUDDD. I can't remember if it started on an up or a down day. Went to the Dr and got muscle relaxer, and got over it in a few days.

Then a week or so ago, right around TOM, that same muscle started aching and twinging again. Not as bad as last month, but it was threatening, and it scared me - didn't want to go through that again. It seems to have cleared up again.

I was thinking it might have something to do with TOM, but now you've got me wondering if it might be something to do with JUDDD too. I'm not giving up JUDDD, but I'll watch for this next month. Just hope I don't "law of attraction" myself into another backache!

Well, after much lurking on the JUDDD forum, I tried my first BPC this morning. It wasn't totally correct, as I do not have any CO. But oh my, it was wonderful! I used my Dunkin Donuts coffee brewed through my Keurig and then tried it with 1 tsp of butter and a little Nectresse.....blended with my Magic Bullet and voila! It was yummy! I am very interested to see if it helps curb my appetite on this DD.

If anyone had told me 2 weeks ago I would drink a cup of coffee blended with butter I would never have believed it! I drank it about 7:15 and wasn't hungry until about 10:30. I hope once I get the CO it will hold me even longer!

It will! I can go from BPC at 8:00ish and easily go through till 2:00 or 3:00. I start feeling hungry about that time, but usually can make it until dinner before eating anything significant.

One of the first times I drank BPC, I was sitting there, sipping and enjoying, and thinking about it. Somehow just the thought of what I was drinking made me feel a tiny gag coming on. I realized, it wasn't the taste, or the texture, it was just THINKING about pure fat in my coffee. Hasn't happened since. I must admit, I do prefer my HWC, but BPC is really good too! And who can argue against that kind of appetite suppression?
