Hmmmm, should be interesting. My fridge decided to stop 'fridging'. New one to be delivered on Sat. My frozen foods are in my neighbor's garage fridge and my fridge stuff is in two coolers on my Kitchen counters.
I have to eat the asparagus as it was all I could not fit in the coolers. I already was frustrated by having to dig in the ice for PJ's dog food so we shall see.
I think I will post my ud menu at day's end....for accountability but I don't have a plan so far and that is usually dangerous.
Besides, I am feeling more than a bit depressed. Since Brian died I have hung on the best I could to keep our home. It seems to be one thing after another. Not the best timing, but in Spring I am going to list it for sale and find an apartment...............I feel like I am letting him down, but a new roof this summer, living out of town for a few months to care for a dying family member, a new washer and now a fridge has me tapped.
I know my God has a plan, so I just keep trying to accept and trust.
In fact I DO trust Him.
I feel better for typing this. Probably not the right thread, but thanks for reading if you got this far.
More later as I figure out a menu.
Blessings,
Pat

Pat. I think you have a good plan. Selling and renting an apartment may be the best thing for you. My SIL did that several years after her husband died and she said it was the best thing she ever did. No yard to maintain, no house repairs, less to clean. She is loving living in an apartment. Now she has time for her grand children and no worries about something ALWAYS breaking.

My coconut oil & cream is arriving today from Tropical Traditions, so I'm looking forward to trying it this UD. I'll post my planned menu when I figure it out after I finish my morning coffee. (@ 150.4)

That sounds like a smart move for you Pat. Having the winter to mull it over and come to terms with it will help too I think.

I'm having a few things today I rarely have.....just because I want to and I can. LOL

B will be a protein drink after my workout

L - bowl of homemade cereal, goat milk, blueberries
a banana (can't remember the last time I had one)
and half a PB sandwich on WHITE bread LOL

That leaves me about 800 calories for dinner for which I'm undecided. Adi's tuna salad sparked an interest. But I should save that for my DD since it fits in. Thinking eggs with hash browns. Haven't had those in awhile and I have some chopped up potatoes that didn't get used yesterday. So yeah....eggs, hash browns (made with peppers and onions to get *some* veggies in). And maybe a bowl of yogurt with cherries. Yum.

Sorry you are having to cope with all this Pat, on top of your loss. I think you may have the answer though, time to plan the next step.

I have had an odd UD, nothing until 3pm then as I was in town I had a toasted ham, cheese and onion sandwich, followed by a slice of carrot cake.

I don't really have a sweet tooth but this did look good. I ended up eating all of the cake but scraped most of the icing off it, just too sweet.

I am home alone this evening and not really hungry so will have to think of something later on.

Thank you, all, for the kind words.
I did not eat before noon.
Made cabbage, hamb, peppers, stir fried. Added an Aldi version of Laughing Cow Cheese.
Delish.
Supper will be determined by what is getting soggy in the cooler. LOL.
Blessings
Pat

4-6 eggs with mayo and cheese, muscle milk, salad with ranch and maybe tuna if i don't get enough protein maybe with some olive oil, banana and almonds, and actually going to put creamer in my coffee today, amounts of mayo and such depend on if im under my cals or not, don't really worry about it too much as long as i hit the 2100 range xD

Cindy, that's a good combination! But I love both, so I can't really talk.

Good for you for staying in your calories.

I'm having my hungriest DD yet, and it's only 12:40 pm. I'm trying to wait until dinner to have a nice, filling meal. Not sure I'll make it. Crystal Light, here I come. Could this mean a whoosh tomorrow???

I ended up nixing the bowl of cereal I had planned at lunch. I had my protein drink so late that I didn't have 'lunch' until 2:30. LOL And I realized we had leftover biscuits and gravy and decided a little of that would go perfect with dinner and the cal. exchange about the same as the bowl of cereal. Dinner is going to be so yummy.

And I really enjoyed my open face PB sandwich and my banana! So much so that I'm going to have it again one day next week and try putting the banana on the PB. My dc do it all the time but I never have.

Kathy, one of my all time favorite sandwiches is simply bread, peanut butter, and a banana sliced onto the PB. If I'm feeling particularly "naughty," I'll add a little honey over the banana before I put the second piece of bread on. It's !

Fair day today......

So for breakfast.....coffee and 1/2 &1/2 and a slice of toast with PB

At the fair it was a corn dog and I ordered a gynormous order of curly fries for all to share.....ended up throwing a 1/3 of them away. And no sweet treats at all....wasn't even tempted.

Dinner- a grilled burger with all the fixins.....YUM
