Well, here goes!

The first picture is in October 2011, just before I started Atkins. Notice how I have Keira strategically placed to hide the fat?

The second picture was Saturday night 9/22/12. The blouse is not the most flattering and you can tell I still have quite a bit to go, but it's still better than the first one. And no kid to hide the fat!

So did you do Atkins first and then JUDDD?
Did you stay low carb with JUDDD?
I have been trying to lose 40 pounds for 2yrs or so ... Did Atkins, JUDDD, and tried just counting calories. Now I am back to Atkins and admiring your loss with JUDDD.

I did Atkins for 6 weeks, lost well the first few weeks, then not very quickly after that. That was always my pattern with Atkins, and then I'd give up, usually within 3 months or so.

I took a weekend off between Atkins and JUDDD and "carbed up." I used the nearly 3 pound gain as my JUDDD starting weight, and haven't worried about carbs since. That was in December, 2011, and I've lost about 80 pounds with just JUDDD. I have less than 15 pounds to my original goal, but think I want to lose another 15 pounds beyond that, so I still have about 30 to go, though I'll reevaluate as I get closer.

Awesome accomplishment. You are beautiful! I was looking through some of the weigh in threads since January and noticed how consistent your rotations have seemed to be. At least all that I saw. Incredable journey. Great example of what works. Love your picture.

That is me too... I lose for about 6 weeks then stall or even go up! I think I am at that point right now.
Sorry for all the questions... but do you exercise too?
I have been exercising almost everyday and not seeing any movement on the scale.

I don't exercise.

I think about it a lot, so maybe that counts?

If I do anything, it's taking the dogs for a walk, or taking my daughter roller or ice skating, but even that's been on the back burner while I deal with thyroid issues. DH and I are going to join a gym in the next week or two, so I'm planning on starting out slowly.

Have you considered forwarding Dr. Johnson your before & after photos for him to post on his website? You've got to be one of the best JUDDD success stories ever seen!

Wow, you are gorgeous!

I know in the 1st picture you are squinting because of the sun shining directly in your face, but one thing I've noticed in a lot of before-and-after pics--including yours--is that people's eyes look bigger when they get thinner. And that makes their faces look so different!

You have definitely helped me make up my mind about JUDDD!! I have low carbed off & on for years. I just found these message boards about JUDDD a couple of weeks ago. I got the book & read it. I am full of questions & I hope to find answers here. I've belonged to LCF for long time. I am more a lurker than a joiner. I plan on starting my first DD tomorrow. Wish me luck!
