You Know Your Family Supports You When...

1. Your 8 year old daughter asks (while driving to church), "Mom, are you Up-sey or Down-sey today"?
2. When asked what restaurant to go to for dinner, your husband responds, "Well, that depends...is my wife Up or Down today? Oh wait, are you ever Diagonal?"

These are the crazy but true comments from my family this past week--and I have to say, I feel a lot more confident in my future success with this WOE this time because of it.

How about everyone else?

Sounds like they are happy with this, stepinthyme.

"You know your family supports you when" your husband cooks on your DDs, and puts your portion in the fridge!

My family is very used to M,W,F as my DDs. My husband will often cook on M,W,or F evenings and that way he has no guilt at all choosing his personal favorites, plus he keeps me from temptation! If he'll do that, I'm happy to clean up.

This evening he made a nice meatloaf in his favorite recipe with homemade mashed potatoes even though he already knew I would just have a bitsy portion to taste, and enjoy as leftovers tomorrow. He knows I take my UD lunch leftovers very seriously and really appreciate them!

My DH refers to my DD's as "one of those days." But he has certainly noticed it works and has nothing negative to say about how I eat because he sees me eat breakfast EVERY day.

Good stuff there! My fiancé is doing this with me, and I can always count on him slicing up some veggies to go in our work lunches for the DDs. Sometimes I think he's more excited about this than I am.

DH thinks he is JUDDDing with me. I have however noticed his DD/UD range is about 100 calories difference. Strangely he has lost 20 pounds.

My 7 year old daughter doesn't really care if it's an UD or a DD, except for one small thing: DESSERT! She doesn't get dessert very often anyway, but she knows there will definitely NOT be dessert on a DD!

DH is great at supporting me. He does much of the cooking and knows my rotations very well. If he doesn't feel like something low calorie, he'll make two meals -- one for my DD and one for Keira and him to share. Mostly he just makes something we all can eat, and he and Keira have bigger portions.

My wife stated JUDDDing June 25th and has lost 20+ pounds. Her DDs aren't nearly as strict as mine, but usually under 500-600. It's fun to do it together.

So cute. My husband never complains about the fact that I no longer cook several days a week on my DD. He is losing weight just fending for himself!

i don't plan on getting any support from family or fiance. I haven't told anyone and don't plan to. After trying low carb (which just wasn't for me), I bored the crap out of everyone talking about it, and then it didn't work.... I actually gined weight. This is working for me so I will keep ity to myself, and if anyone notices my loss (hopefully!) I will come up with something. But till then its just you and me JUDDD BUDDDDSSS

And this WOE is really easy to hide. Just be sure everyone sees you eating on UD's they won't pay any attention to the DD's. I used , "I am not feeling well" to fend off food on DD's that I did not want. No explanation necessary about why you won't eat the triple coconut layer cake with cream cheese icing.

My cat hates DDs. On UDs, he gets a bit of my breakfast egg, or a bite or four of my chicken. On DDs, I not only eat it all, but sometime lick the plate myself, rather than allowing him to!

Our current feline ruler does not suspect that giant two-legged cats eat.

Life is much calmer these days.
