Is it TOM?
I just noticed when posting my daily weigh-in stats - I've been right about the same weight for a full week!
Started 9-1-12 - didn't have a scale DD 9-5-12: 160.8 UD 9-6-12: 159.8 DD 9-7-12: 158.8 UD 9-9-12: 158.2 DD 9-10-12: 157.8 UD 9-11-12: 157.2 DD 9-12-12: 158.4 UD 9-13-12: 157 DD 9-14-12: 156.8 UD 9-15-12: DNW DD 9-16-12: 157.2 UD 9-17-12: 157.4 (TOM) Is it just the run-up to TOM, or am I messing this up somehow? ![]() I guess I won't know until after TOM, but ... I keep expecting a whoosh, and seeing the same ol' numbers over and over again. ![]() Maybe I was spoiled by the pound-per-day I was getting in the beginning, lol! (Maybe it's the 'your body needs to rest' phenomenon?) I feel awful and bloated today, but it is TOM, so I guess it's expected.... ![]() Anyone else experience stalling BEFORE your monthly cycle? |

I hate to say it, but it seems to have caused a two-week slowdown for me. I can't call it a total stall, because my "high weights" have moved down since 9/1, but my low weight hasn't budged much yet (TOM was last week).
This is my first TOM on JUDDD so I'm just waiting this out to see what happens. |

Your most recent "low" weight was only 3 days ago. I wouldn't consider that a stall. Weight loss is not "linear" and you can't expect to lose after every single DD. JUDDD is magic, but it's not THAT magical!
![]() That being said, most of us do either slow down or not lose at all during TOM. Some stall before, some during, and the unluckiest of the bunch don't lose weight for 2 weeks or more out of the month. Until you've been JUDDDing for a few months, you won't really know what your pattern is. Don't stress! It'll start moving again! ![]()

I usually grind to a halt about 10 days before, but seem to let go of some bloat a day or 2 before TOM starts. My TOM is getting later by a week as each month passes. I just hang in since I am in this for the long haul anyway.

it is so variable, your body is adjusting to intermittent fasting.
some of us do only lose a couple weeks a month and have to realize we are maintaining (the really critical part of weight loss!!) rather than gaining the rest of the time. you will find your balance, maybe |

Just wanted to post an update - TOM's on the way out, and I've had a visit from the WHOOSH fairy. That just happened to coincide with a drastic reduction in my DD calories & a much more reasonable UD for one cycle. I may never know which one did it, lol, but I am certainly sticking with lower DD calories just to see - I also started 10 in 10 about 5 days ago, and that may be causing fluctuations, but was I sure glad to see the <156 on the scale this morning! (Even if I did have to weigh 14 times, blow my nose, and take out my hair scrunchie to get it.. it still counts, right?

![]() ![]() ![]() Congratulations on the WHOOSH! It feels so good! Now, nose blowing and hair scrunchies out......you've given me ideas. Maybe I should do that......and take out my earrings........and clip my toenails..........should I cut my long hair short? It could help! ![]() |

My hair is shorter than it's been in YEARS! I also remove any jewelry and my glasses before weighing.

Well, if I take off my glasses I may not see the scale well! And I just HAVE to get that number the first time because my silly digital scale is most accurate on the first try and then skews! (I have the regular scale as a back-up.)
Once I did ask my daughter to come and hold my hair up, though! And, yes, of course you cut your toenails before weighing! Scrunchie? Oh, no, you can't have ALL THAT FABRIC weighing you down! To get back to the original point Perhaps I should caution that you can predict this easier when you are younger, in my experience. As you get a little older, it may keep happening, but the dates won't line up so obviously any more.

I'm short so I can still kinda read the scale without my glass, but sometimes I have to step off and bend down quickly before the digital number goes off
