Regularity

as in the BM kind... seems to be greatly improved with taking 250 mg of magnesium citrate in the evening with my other meds... no probs going to the can after my morning coffee, DD or not (vs. my first 2 weeks, I think other than my really weird trots episode or two, I was only going about 2-3 times a week, and I don't want to be full of it!!!!).

just thought I would share as it seems that regularity can get compromised for some with days of less intake.

I try to eat veggies on DD- particularly lettus, celery and cucumbers. This helps- sometimes MORE than helps. I find that magnesium will do the trick as will miracle noodles/rice.

Thanks for the post toora! I have to try magnesium citrate since I ALWAYS seem to have problems with regularity. I have tried everything under the sun and nothing worked, well flaxseed seem to help a little but not as much as I would like it to. I will get me some magnesium citrate and see if that makes a difference, thanks again!

What's crazy is that we're all so different! Shirataki does not do it for me. Nor does magnesium.
I have one word to offer. Bulletproof coffee. Okay, that's two words Works like a dream for me.
Thanks for this thread. Great idea.

Erika, there are different versions. Mine is a cup of strong coffee quizzed in a blender with up to one T butter and up to one T coconut oil. The result is foamy, creamy, and full-fat satisfying for hours and hours.

I read on the Main Board here about this problem as I have it also!

I read about this and it has worked for me for over 2 months now:

Take 2 tablespoons organic apple cider vinegar ( it is a MUST to have the orgainic with the "mother" in it ), put in a tall glass add sweetner ( I use one packet of Splenda ) fill for warm water and drink in the morning!

May not be the most pleasnt drink, but not bad either. I read to drink this either before breakfast or after and have done both.

For me it is a blessing, the end result is a large one

This is the best thing I have learned on the internet too

Leonak I'm glad you found something that works for you! My ACV is sitting in the pantry right now, right next to the metamucil, the senna, some other laxative, exlax and the prunes

Is there an alternative to the coffee? I keep hearing about how good this is for you but I really HATE coffee. Anyone know??

If you don't like coffee...a glass of hot water with lemon juice and honey/stevia works pretty well for me. Fresh squeezed lemon is probably best. But, I have had similar results substituting lemon juice from a bottle. What I have read is that the hot liquid on an empty stomach first thing in the am is the most important part.

Coconut oil is really taking care of this problem for me at the moment. But some
other things that I have used off and on are just a spoonful of raw honey, ACV, probiotics, milled flaxseed, fiber one brownies or bars, candy with peppermint oil or any of the mint teas, herbal tea(mine is called smooth move because it is made especially for that purpose) diet herbal tea and fiber water drink packets.

Thanks toora! I will try it out for sure, we are talking capsules or tablets right? I did try out the liquid stuff, the kind that is being used for cleaning out the system before procedures, (yes that's how desperate I was), but OMG what a mistake that was! Not going into details here but lets just say any BABOON would have been jealous!

This is still an area I struggle with. Am going 3 days a week it seems. I've tried everything.....magnesium, CO, DE, special tea, herbal lax. Things work the first time I try them but never 2 days in a row. LOL So I just keep trying to alternating things and only when I'm 'past due' LOL Will give the ACV a try.....I actually like drinking it.

I'm going on my third month using ACV, just make sure it is the one with the "mother on the bottom" - the organic stuff! I usually drink it first thing in the morning and then i also drink another glass of very warm water right after too, sometimes I wake up too early and drink all this and then go back to bed for 30 - 60 minutes!

Good Luck!
