Travel/wedding advice ... what would you do?
Hi JUDDD BUDDDs!
I have a family wedding next weekend. The schedule is: Wednesday (DD) - going out to dinner with family passing through Thursday (UD) - traveling Friday (DD) - rehearsal dinner Saturday (UD) - wedding Sunday (DD) - travel And then back to normal. I would have been OK with planning not to lose during this period, but I'm just coming out of a 1.5 week mini-stall and I would like to make my Sept. goal of losing about 3-4 more pounds by the end of the month. I'd love some advice from our seasoned JUDDD travelers. |

I did what Dawn has outlined when we went to NY for DS' graduation. I fasted all day and went to the graduation banquet and ate sensibly on a DD. It worked out well. DD's and traveling were easy. The regular UD's were also easy. BUT fasting all day for an evening event has worked for me.

What Dawn said.
If you cannot truly fast for most of the day, plan very low cal eating in place of the fast. Actually, I encourage you to plan and have immediately available some low cal food. Keep a close eye on yourself and do not allow yourself to get too over-extended. Weddings tend to have a bit of drama. And that can really take it out of you. |

Good luck! I always try to make travel days DD's since they seem so much easier.

Thanks everyone! Dawn, that sounds like a great plan! I'm not used to fasting until dinner, but it's worth it to be able to go out to special family dinners. I'll also try to sneak in some extra exercise before and during the trip, and hopefully not do too much damage while having fun.
