How Often Do You Recalcuate Your Calories?

Hi JUDDDers. As a newbie (on 2nd UD today), I was wondering how often do you recalculate your allowed UD and DD calories? I don't want to be obsessive about it, but also want to give myself every chance to succeed.

I assume since I'll be losing steadily (like my optimistic attitude??) that my calories will be going down steadily too.

Just curious how you all handle this. Thanks!

Start Date: JUDDD April 1st January – March ate LC/LC
I used to worry about the same thing. However some of the long-timers told me to leave them until I had to change them. So far I've lost quite a bit and have not lowered my UD or my DD.

What NoWeigh said. As long as you are losing at a reasonable pace, don't worry about it. When weight loss slows or stops, and you have not changed anything, it is probably time to drop 'em.

After I lost 35 pounds and dropped from an average of 2 pounds/week to .5 - 1 pound/week I reduced my daily cals (DD and UD) by 50 cal. Chuckle, my hunger didn't even notice but my weight loss rate did.

Start Date: 2/21/12- Low carb (199lbs) 3/28/12 JUDDD (189lbs)
I've only lowered DDs and pretty much left UDs alone. If I don't eat out I dont really hit that UD number, but that's OK since I don't really need to anymore.

Thanks for your input, guys. You have made me feel more relaxed about it. I'll just keep going until the losses slow or stop. Great news!
