Thanks DaSHMith! Idk, sometimes I believe I think too much. lol I'm going to weigh Thurs moring since I will be coming off a DD. If I've spiked back up into the 150's I may have to cancel the UUAD. Maybe I should save that for reaching my goal.

I'd give today a 4. Eating earlier really worked. No headache and I didn't feel deprived. I was able to eat my calories by 5pm. Sitting here in class then heading home to bed. I love a no hassle CD.

JMBM, I was pondering this and thinking: "How else could you reward yourself on your birthday other than through food?"

Many of us are likely here with weight to release, at least in part, because we may reward or punish ourselves through food at times. What if you bought something or put money away toward something bigger?

I guess I am wondering if there is a way you might use this as an opportunity to do something different than you have done before. Every day is another chance to turn it all around. You are working/have worked so hard and you deserve the most wonderful birthday ever.

So, what do you want to create for yourself?

Just thinking out loud

It's good to read that you're settling back so well into all of this after the ruptured cyst - you seem to be recovering at a rate of knots. KUTGW

JMBM- Why don't you have a not out of control celebratory meal, then enjoy something special OTHER than food, like a massage or getting your nails done or going to a play. It's all enjoyment.

This is my 4th DD and I'm having a harder time than the last 3.
I'm really hungry today to the point of my stomach growling and I'm obsessing about the food I'll be able to eat tomorrow.
I've been waiting until dinnertime to eat but today I just couldn't stand it anymore and had an egg and a salad at 10:45. I'll be having homemade chicken soup tonight.
I ate enough yesterday ... 2245 calories ... so I don't think it's because of that.
I'm drinking lots of water with lemon and also my tea to keep my stomach full.

Today is one DD that I'll be happy to get over with.

I hope everyone else is doing much better!

Well done Karen, some are harder than others.

I am having another 5+ thanks in part to those 2 pteros first thing.

I have just had 4 UDs in a row so was looking forward to today. I usually do Monday and Thursday DDs but had family staying last night so postponed it til today. Have also been traveling so only had some espresso and tea.

Planning a salad this evening. I was very happy with the scales this morning, after 4 UDs I was 126.2. Must be the sirtuin.

Good DD so far - 5 at a little after noon. Yes, some DDs are just plain hard and I hate those. But the reward is that most are fine, even good. It's nice not to have to think about food all day and let your digestive tract rest a little. You'll get to where more DDs are good than hard!

No I don't as a rule. I have pretty easy UDs so don't feel the need for taking them on both days. I pay a lot for them in the UK.

For which read, the proverbial arm and a leg and nigh on your first born. It's astonishing that sometimes we're not only paying a pound per dollar but sometimes even more.

I'm taking the kind that dissolve in your mouth...purple tabs. They were a little over $12.00 for a pack. They don't really suppress my hunger all that well, so maybe you get what you pay for.

My DD is going fairly well. I'll give it a 4. I've had 140 cals, but thought I'd only had 115. I just happened to pick up the little box of pink lemonade crystals I had been adding to my water all day and saw that they are 10 calories a piece! Anywho, I will probably have some coffee when I get home (with H&H), and maybe a salad. Don't foresee any problems.

This is one of those "I can't wait till it's over. Maybe I'll go to bed early." kind of DDs. I have had about 50 calories, planning 210 more in Wendy's chili for dinner but that may change. I just want to EAT. Head hunger more than tummy hunger due to stress. Hopefully the scale will reward us all tomorrow.

Thoroughly fed-up. DH's permanent post was supposed to be confirmed in early March. He had a meeting about it today (his contract lapses later this week) and because of various organisational changes, it's still 'in the offing, rather than imminent/agreed'.

I did warn him that the organisation changes would probably result in this but he's taking a while to rally. The upside is that he's been offered another short-term contract extension. Big whoop. Although, of course, it's much better to have work than not, it makes planning so difficult (finances; DIY projects; a holiday etc.).

He'll feel better by the time he's home. In the interim, I've an evening of laundry awaiting me when I get home. I'm tired. I was uncharacteristically whoozy earlier and debated whether I needed to eat something but opted for tea instead.

So sorry to hear about the job insecurity SlowSure. That does make it tough, like you say, to plan for anything. I hope it will all get confirmed very soon.

A solid 5 today. Having a potato DD. Course I had 2 ptero with breakfast so that is helping.
I take two every morning now to help me get over the UUAD syndrone.

So far it has been a 5. Most of the way through my day at work, then home to clean and exercise. By the time I'm done with all that, I'll eat my planned dinner meal and call it a night. The DDs are definitely getting easier every time!

Ok so far
Cooked up a bunch of potatoes this morning and had about 250 cals worth for breakfast. That will be all I eat for the day. I think I am going to try out the potato hack for a few days and see how I do. I just need the scale to move a bit in the good direction

Hmmm, I could think of lots of ways, but my favorite way is food!!!! Not to make light of your point as I can completely see what you're saying. However, I'm not necessarily "rewarding" myself. I just want to be a pig on my birthday and eat whatever I want w/o having to think about counting. I have yet to experience the UUAD so was using my birthday as an excuse/reason for having one. I know what you mean about the food rewards though. Trying not to focus on the food.

Pterostilbene. Netrition carries it. It's similar to Resveratrol.

ETA: I thought it would link to Netrition's pterostilbene, but it didn't with it capitalized. Interesting.

Yeah, I'm thinking have a few treats, but don't go crazy. I just know I want pizza and red velvet cake. If I can have those 2 things then I think I will be content with a normal breakfast, light lunch, and then my pizza and cake. Even if it's over 2000 I'm cool with that. I just don't think I need to let it turn into a 4000 cal day.
