So this proves it really is in our heads don't you think and habits we have. Or do you think it is chemical? It really is weird to me but hey it works. what I really like is you really don't have to buy any extra food. Some diets I have been on would almost break the bank. Susan

I woke up today happy for the first time that I am having a DD!

This thread is old but it makes me happy.
Words Of Wisdom!!

This is the most pleasant DD I've had in a while, and I attribute all of that to this glorious Butterbeer tea. Adiago tea blends are so yummy. I'm going at a strong 4 at the moment. I suppose most of the battle with my precious DDs were in my head and partially due to lack of preperation.

Quite a tricky DD as I'm out of potato and this is day 25 of my potato hack. Just wondering If I can substitute cauliflower for tonight's hot potato meal. (It's been snowing in the UK and my local shops are out of fresh produce and the transport problems are hindering deliveries.)

Some of you discuss/mention interesting teas. I always assumed that they might trigger my appetite rather than blunt it - but I thought the same about potato and rice as was wrong about that so maybe I ought to experiment with delicious flavours of tea.

I wonder if you could use canned potatoes or instant potatoes? I'm not sure if those include any other ingredients, but if not, would that be an option for you?

Hm, good idea. I don't have any cans and I didn't think of making up any packet mashed potato from my stores because I thought they'd be a trigger for me but there's no reason I can't just make them up with water and salt instead of milk and butter.

Thank you

So far, pretty good. Not physically hungry but I kind of want to put something in my mouth. I've been sipping iced tea all day and I'm looking forward to my salmon patties for dinner.

Great one again! I just had liquids which included HWC in coffee until 3:30. I feel like I could have gone the whole day without eating food but the other night I woke in the middle of the night with major hunger and am trying to avoid that tonight. Weird that I didn't feel hunger today but would in the middle of the night.
It seems like it was just the other day i was at a 1 and now lots of 5s! Loving JUDDD!

DD was a 5, had a small salad with a few ounces of chicken in it and balsamic vinegar around 7pm. Just coffee and half and half before that.
Had my midnight peanut butter concoction snack and I'm done for the day.
Going to have to have a few UDs in a row this weekend I think, traveling, so I'll see where I end up on Monday!

Going to meet a girlfriend for lunch and this is the only day it would work for us. So I am going to do a salad or maybe steak and shrimp at Applebee's under 550 calories. I would like to stay around 300. So we shall see. Wish me luck!

Fist real DD for a week. My Monday DD died when a friend invited me in for supper. No harm done.

I'll give it a 4. I have been away from home all week and didn't take all my supplements alone with me, so only took my Ptero just now with a cup of tea. I was feeling hungry!

I had a slice of toast this morning with a small coffee.

Plan some thai soup this evening.

Ok so far so good. I met a friend in the city for lunch at Applebee's. I had the steak and shrimp for under 550 calories. I ate most of the veggies and maybe close to half of the steak so I'm thinking maybe 400 calories which is high for me on a DD but all in all I feel pretty good about it. I didn't blow it and that is what counts! So I'm pretty proud of me right now. Susan

So far having a good DD. I've had 20 cal so far in h/h with my coffee. Was thinking breakfast for dinner at 330 calories, but idk if I want to stick to my potatoes and black eyed peas I've been having the past several DD's. They fill me up so much, and idk if the breakfast will as much. I never want anything else after eating the peas and potatoes. Just wanted a change.

Having a great dd....definitely a 5. I'm probably around 450 at this point and I'm done. Just some tea for the rest of the night and planning a great ud tomorrow. No more than 2000 cals, but will enjoy every bite!

I would say that I was a good solid 4 for most of the day. I am at 361, think that I am done for the day, however, I am only in week 1, so if I feel the need I will have a diet hot cocoa before bed.

Great job everyone!

Day 27 of the potato hack and my last DD on it for this tranche (I end the PH tomorrow and start my transition from the hack on Sunday).

If the roads are not icy we're planing a trip to the coast to enjoy some sea breezes and walks. I shall do my best to keep away from chip shops because fish and chips wouldn't be at all PH friendly, never mind DD.

There will be so many boredom opportunities to snack during the car journey that I'm a little worried about being able to resist them. The potatoes mean that I'm rarely hungry but I do want to eat something sweet when I'm stressed or bored so I need to. Be aware that this can happen.

Well done for getting to grips with DDs in week one and having some cocoa in reserve.

Definitely - and good plan in picking the HB egg and not other items it might have been more difficult to stop eating

So far so good although I am hungry today for some reason so I had several small potatoes for lunch. Drinking iced tea and disbudding kids one at a time. They can be rather strong for babies.
Think I might have some broth too since I am starting to feel a little chilly.

I ate a medium potato with salsa. I thought right after I ate it that I was still starving. About 10 minutes later, I felt completely full. This is just my second DD, so I'm still getting used to it. I have the rest of the day planned out and feel pretty confidant in it.
