It was about a 3.5 but not from hunger.I'm finding I use food as a crutch when I get bored.I had to push myself to find something else to do today, besides eating.

A 5 for today! I didn't have anything but my morning coffee until about 7pm. Then, I ate several servings of green beans & had some tropical canned fruit that was only 105 calories for the whole can!! So, not only have my calories been low; but, so has my sodium. I eat way too many things with sodium!! Trying to watch it more carefully.

I'm a little worried about today. I'm throwing a baby shower for my best friend and I'm a sucker for cake. I teally don't want to ruin a DD because I have zero willpower. Fingers crossed that all goes well today. I need to remember that I can eat it tomorrow.

So far so good 10 calories. There is an amazing dumpling recipe on the dumpling thread. It makes 12 large dumplings only 86 calories for all. I had to buy special ingredients for them but oh my they are so good in chicken broth with some chicken base in it and hardly any calories. I thought on UD they would be perfect but they are actually better for the DD because of so few calories and how filling they are. Just a thought!
Well here in Missouri we are snowed in once more. So I cooked up some meat this morning to have off and on through the week. I do better with a plan. Hope everyone has a good DD. Thanks for hanging in there with me on my DD. Susan

Basic flour mixture

2 Tbs Oatfiber
2 Tbs coconut flour (60)
1 Tbs vanilla protein powder (30)
1 Tbs eggwhite powder (22)
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp glucomannan powder
1 Tbs erythritol (optional)
spices (optional--but is great with pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon)

To this I add a mixture of davinci SF syrup and water or almond milk. My mixture is about 1/2 cup to start, but because of the coconut flour, more liquid may be necessary. Experiment with it.

The one I made for lunch had 2 TBS pumpkin added. The one this afternoon had 1/2 cup blueberries.

I made a topping from 2 TBS ff cream cheese mixed with a little vanilla davinci's

Let me know if you try this. I just loved the texture and how filling it is for so little in the way of calories.

Only 110 calories in this I copied and pasted this from No #1 post on Fantastic Flour thread. I have made this several times and she is right it is filling. They do amazing things with variations of this recipe on there I've only made the muffin but it is big and good however one day I did add cream to it and ate it like cereal. Susan

Hey JUDDD friends!!

I am back again, couldn't get a hold of my eating and back to DD after the holidays because a lot of stressful events. Ended up jumping from diet to diet ..with no success and gained all my weight back.

JUDDD is the only WOE that can control my binge monster, and lose weight. Ready to lose the weight before the summer!!

Today is DD #1 , going great so far -- had a protein smoothie that will hold me until after work around 170 cals.

I'm not hungry, but I can feel a emotional desire for food raising its head. I'm in the middle of a project(trying to keep busy) but have hit a tricky part, and I desperately want to do SOMETHING ELSE! Trying not to let that something else become eating. This is my 10th DD.

Have some tea or broth on stand by. They can really help!

Pretty good so far. Just wanting to eat for no particular reason. Went over to the UD thread to see what goodies they were having. They sure don't seem like they eat much on UD's. Planning on having my dinner soon. Then, I think I'll do some calorie investigating on what I want to have tomorrow. I've got 22lbs to go and it seems like it's taking forever!!!!

I had some of the vegetable soup/slurry I made two days ago. Added some nutritional yeast per a friend's suggestion, and it tasted MUCH better. Saving my yogurt for dinner, I guess. I stuck with my project, and got it done, and now feel brimming with energy.

My husband, who is on his 4th DD has spent most of the day reading and dozing on the sofa, as it is too cold to go bike riding(his usual pursuit). We'll probably watch a movie together this evening, but I need to beware of habit-eating.

I need to make a new batch of bone broth to have on hand for sipping moments. Our container of bones in the freezer is almost full enough.

Guess I am rambling a bit, but I wanted to be up and doing, instead of sitting down, so I grabbed the computer as soon as my daughter left it. When there are two teenagers in the house, you have to seize your moments, and sometimes that doesn't leave mental space for self-editting!

Car accident, cake and a DD all in one. Ugh, this day was a great big 1. I actually ended up eating a slice of cake, fruit salad and a vegan ball. I went over my calories by 30 which is great. I'm only giving the day a 1 because this was a crappy day. Have a good night everyone!

Thanks LoCarbGal & Dawn for asking. Thankfully I was alone in the car and the truck just missed my drivers side door so the situation could have been much worse. Just emotionally drained.

My local supermarkets are pretty much out of fresh produce because of the snow in the UK. This may bring my potato hack to a close as I will otherwise have to change over to rice alone (and I don't seem to react well to mono food eating).

I had idli this morning but may have to have rice and frozen cauliflower later. Tbh, in this snowy weather, I'm pining for something like a lamb or chicken stew. I know it's emotional more than genuine hunger.

So far so good only 10 calories but the day is young since it is only 10:00am here. I think I will do half pocket bread 60 calories and 2 oz of turkey 60 calories about 2:00 pm and this evening maybe do a 100 calorie popcorn and call it a day perhaps. I am like you on the UD thread it doesn't seem like they eat near as much as I do and I made that comment on there but a lot of them posted back they do a lot of HWC and CO that they don't list on their foods. Today is my first week finished and have lost 5lbs. Of course I splurged about three days ahead before I started so had picked up 2 or 3 extra lbs. But I will take it. Susan

What I have such a hard time with is figuring calories. Some things are easy and you have labels but as you know that is not always handy. I do an online tracker which helps. Let's say you have a chicken pot pie on an UD at a restaurant. ???? Pizza out somewhere where it isn't a chain restaurant there isn't anyway of knowing your calorie count that is when my frustration really kicks in and it is hard to even try and figure or adjust other than that this is an easy way to eat with no extra money involved unless you want it to be. Strictly low carb was hurting my pocketbook of course I didn't have to go gun ho which is what I did. I bought a lot of specialty baking stuff that was costly but I am glad I did it because I can have a lot of it now and not too many calories involved or carbs. Susan

I weigh everything but I have to rely on food labels (eg frozen vegetables) or online food values to make my best guess (food tables don't always list particular varieties of potato or similar).

A lot of the time, it feels like we have to make a best guess an d then watch the results to see if it's approximately correct.

I had 2x jelly sweets yesterday because I wanted to have something sweet with a painkiller. The packet didn't give the nutrition information per 100g, not thw weight of the packet - just per 'serving' of 7 sweets so I had to do more mental arithmetic than I felt like to work out that 2x sweets were less than 30kcals. I wish this sort of thing were more straightforward.

I know what you mean. I'm so OCD that I calculate and put into my tracker one piece of candy. Like Hershey kisses, you get 5 or 7 per serving, I forget. So maybe I just want 1 or 2. It helps me to know, okay 1 kiss is 25 calories. I can have 1!

Thank god you are ok!!! Take the rest of the day to rest if you can. You are safe, and that's the most important thing.

ETA: Oops Lil, I think that happened yesterday. I hope you are still doing ok!

My DD is going pretty well. I've made it through the day with 225 calories. I'm going home now and hope to have about 150 more.
