Ok, end of day, and I will not eat anything else.

Started ok, then I got bummed and I'd give it a 1, and now I've planned for tomorrow and read some encouraging words from my jbs, so I'm back at a 3.

They can't all be winners...

If hungry later planning a salad w/ff ital dressing for 25 additional cal. That would put my total at 440 on my second DD. Funny the total for my first DD was 440. Yay for me!
Sounds like you're off to a great start!

That's interesting about the 2nd DD in a row. I don't think I will be giving that one a try any time soon though!

Yes, I love glucomannan too! Currently make a chocolate pudding with .5tsp gluc:2cup almond milk for a very low calorie pudding, similar to jello pudding from the store. Eat it on DD and UD! Usually make it a day in advance, seems to take time to 'bloom' all the way.

My potato hack day turned into a DD - tummy hurt from too much potato. Scale has rewarded me, but at what cost? Will do it again if I can't get the scale to move, maybe

Thanks Sher and Shari, and Steph-- I really got a lot from your 33week post, and then my DH said the same stuff and I'm feeling much better (and less bloated) today.
I am *convinced* that I will end Feb with a net loss!

Hang in there Soren, February has been horrid to many of us.

Today could be a challenge later at the cocktail party I need to navigate but so far, so good. Just had a HB egg as my first food (noon-ish) because I was seriously hungry. Hope that calms the monster and I can save the remaining 250 or so calories for the party nibbles - emphasis on celery and carrot sticks, I am afraid. No wine, darn.

Hungry, hungry and did I say, hungry!!!! You would think after all the calories I consumed yesterday I'd be totally satisfied today. The plan is to buy some ground turkey breast and low cal buns to make burgers for dinner. I can't wait!

I wasn't so hungry on this dd...had a frozen entree and some yellow squash...I am having my yearly problems with the oak pollen...sometimes the pollen scale says it's 10, and I sure believe it....it takes away my sense of smell and taste..I guess I should be thankful for that...but it does make me feel blah, all the way around..glad you're all doing well...hope no one gets slammed by this new snow storm..sure looks like a blizzard again..

Hi everyone. I'm a new-ish "restart" and I'm jumping right in.

I don't know the scale to rank my DD but I guess it wasn't so bad. coffee with FF 1/2 n 1/2, a small green smoothie (kale, strawberries, pineapple) and then baked potato for dinner with some salsa and a tbsp of light sour cream. A question for you all though.. I have been using a tracker site for my calorie calculations and it tends to give too many options to choose from! For my medium russet potato, it gave me 340 calories for 330g but another website gave it as about 75 calories per 100g so would have been more like 250 calories. So what do you all use for your calorie counts? and in particular, what do you count for a potato??

On a side note, I've been freezing all day. Never thought I would welcome that!!! ha ha!

I was hungrier than usual when lunchtime came so I ate extra potatoes and did so again for dinner so no telling what that will turn out like. So Maybe a 2 today. BUT I have gone 4 days with no Diet Coke and since I used it as a crutch I can see why I am hungry. Was in meetings and could not drink hot tea which I have been using to kind of turn off the appetite so when we got out at lunch I was hungry.
Tomorrow I am hoping to do another poato day to get myself back to my signature weight after my failed atempt at 5:2.

Sorry you're suffering with the allergies Jaymar. Yuck. I have them too, and had a really bad bout almost two years ago that resulted in some nasty hives. Take care of yourself!

back Phoenix! Sounds like you're doing great. Yes, the choices for potatoes is mind boggling. I've just started weighing them on my kitchen scale raw and then making them however I'm going to make them that day/meal. I found a count on my tracker for raw, skin included (and I usually do eat the skin). Seems to be working okay. And yep, the freezing sure is uncomfortable, but I try to enjoy it, knowing my body's burning those calories!

Hi gang! I'm doing much better today, thanks Coming here, each day, really is a huge help!

It's not the end of the day, but I think I can safely give this day a 4+ ... I'm a little cold, but did see a small loss this morning (which is rare, after an UD, for me) so that boosted my mood a bit.

I have a good, satisfying food plan for today, and I"m employing Steph's plan of lower carbs and a LOT of fluids...worked yesterday, seems good today too

So glad to hear you've had success registered on the scale, Soren

I agree, coming here each day really helps me too

Hmm, today's rating is 4 so far. Got the regular afternoon munchies, ate the regular dd fare, feeling pretty good

Well today is a 4. I'm not hungry so that is good. I just feel so BLAH! I had a .1 loss on the scale after an UD- haven't seen a loss after an UD in a while so that was fun this morning!

Very tired, and just ho-hum i guess.

Except for that energy thing, I'm a 5.

I am SO glad someone posted about the coconut creamers (10 cals/T) so I can have those in the hot teas I'm trying to like. I do splurge on two cups of coffee on a DD with HWC. But those low-cal creamers have been a real find for me.

I'd rate my DD at 5 today, so far. Have not been hungry so far. . . . and getting over the 2pm hump that I strive to fast until, made in the shade today!

I know when I start eating, the hungry monster will appear, might hold out a bit longer today

Thanks. Still no Diet Coke in my life and I think I am over the withdrawal.
My DD today has been interesting. I had boiled eggs for B and then potatoes and coffee. Still at the Houston Livestock Show and I am looking forward to my UD tomorrow. Will enjoy breakfast. The hotel breakfast sure looked good this morning and I was so thankful they had boiled eggs.
Tomorrow I show and there won't be much time for lunch. I still have some boiled potatoes in my ice chest so that is probably what I will have to eat. But that is not a problem. I skipped the exhibitor's reception tonight since I did not need the temptation. Had a good day foodwise though.

Mine's been about a 4&1/2.

Adi, I am soooooooo impressed with your determination to quit diet coke! Somewhere in the back of my mind, I tell myself that I gave up booze & cigarettes........enough is enough!! I bet you'll be exhausted & starved by the time you're done in Houston!! But, I'm glad you had a good food day today.
