You too TJ!

I'm going to start rating my DDs at the end of the day... they all seem to start fine, so, I'll check in later to let you know how I did, once I'm tucked safely in bed

I used to think my parents were obsessive because they would each weigh every single morning. But, to be perfectly honest, I was jealous because they were able to maintain their slim weight so well. I quit weighing for years because I had gotten so out of control and didn't want to know! Now, for better or worse, I *have* to weigh every day, and I see it as a positive thing (for me).

My DD is ok so far. I had a coffee this morning and drinking lots of water now as well and will eat this evening when I am home. But if I do get hungry I have some cupasoups here handy I will step on my scales tomorrow for the first time in Months and I kinda have a number in my head and I hope i'm not over that!

I have it in my head that once I reach goal weight, i will not have to weigh, and will only weigh every so often, say if my size 8(or even six) jeans start to feel am little snug, then I will weigh and take care of the few pounds I have gained and all will be rosey. Maybe I need to rethink this strategy? Just would love that scenario would play out and be at a point where I don't...well, overeat when left to my own devices. Sigh

I think if I stop weighing every day, or at least don't weigh once a week on a set day, even at maintenance, that would be the kiss of death (to my being slim). But that's only me. I know that when I was slim, I weighed daily or very often. It's only when I gave up that I didn't want to see a scale.

My DD is going well. So far only coffee, water and a cup of fresh strawberries with splenda (146 cals for all). I feel kind of like Soren, so I'll report back at the end of the day. I know it will go fairly well, as all my DD's seem to be now, but I may have a little more hunger later.

If I don't weigh, I'm like Cindy.......it wouldn't be long & my clothes would be be screaming!! But, YMMV!! Let us know if it works out for you. It would be exciting if it does!

DD is a 5 today. Liquids until evening the ups man brought my box of Magic Pops (thanks ups man!). Haven't been hungry all day, that's very unusual for me. I'll take what I can get. . . .

Yep, Shari, I have to weigh frequently too - not weighing is how the pounds crept up on me. Pants get tight so slowly, it's hard to see that sometimes and too easy to go into denial. The numbers are cold and hard - kinda like a slap to the face. Who remembers the old aftershave commercial 'Thanks, I needed that!'?

5 so far, but that's subject to change.

Keira's feeling better, so we're going ahead with our plans to head down to Disneyland. An hour in the car with Keira and DH to pick up our friends, then another 3 hours or so to get down to L.A. The day after Valentine's day. I'm pretty sure I'll be smelling chocolate the whole car ride!

I've been online trying to get calorie counts for various meals at DL and am not having any luck. We have reservations Sunday for Blue Bayou and everything looks highly caloric. Thank goodness for 5:2 and that I won't feel guilty having 3 UDs in a row! May have to pack a few power bars to offset the damage.

I've had a great DD. I did go up to 500ish calories though. For dinner I cooked cabbage and onions, and bacon. I had 3.2 oz of chicken breast and a wedge of LC. Could not eat everything on my plate. I am really full now. Unheard of on DD, lol. Bf loved the cabbage too, and he had all the chicken he wanted, so we had a DD meal together!

It's been a 4. I felt hungry most of the day, which is highly unusual for me. Luckily I know hunger isn't an emergency and got through it. I can't wait for tomorrow though. I've had TOM for a week and it's getting old now!

Jealous! I have always wanted to eat there but looking at the $$ on the menu...I'm taking Hubby to Medieval Times when we go in April & can't do both. You'll have to let me know if you think its worth it. We have tentative plans to hit up Blue Bayou for coffee & dessert (they have creme brulee - holla!) to get the experience without the price tag.

Disney cals was one of the reasons I bailed on Atkins and switched to JUDDD. Back in January I was already freaking out about the Disney trip totally derailing me. I'm probably just going to try to watch what I eat and not totally pig out, but get back to rotations on Monday when we're back.

This DD has started out ok. I thought I'd wake up famished because of the Chinese food I had last night. I'm starting off with some coffee, vanilla syrup and CO. Stick it in my bullet blender and it fluffs up like a latte!

Lunch I'm planning potatoes. Tonight I'm doing the cream cheese/Rotel/hamburger thing that the LC folks love. I've got it figured out to lower the cals, and I'm going to add some shiritake noodles to mine. I'm boiling up rotini for hubby, so he can carb load for our race tomorrow. He's doing the full 1/2 so he needs some fuel. I've decided I'm turning around at the 3.1 mile (5k) aid station for a total of 6.2 (10k). I've been doing really well on the treadmill but outside may be a different story.

DAWN - How is the maintenance going? On the 5:2 what are your days like? It would be really great to do DD on like Tues/Wed and UD the rest of the week! Or do you do like DD on Tues/Thurs and rest UD? Just wondering as I am looking forward to maintaining on JUDDD once I reach goal. Also, are the DD harder now that you have more UD OR are they still just as easy? I cannot wait to get to this stage!

DD's have been a real problem for me...but I keep trying different ways...I could finally do the potato hack....and now I have found some frozen entress that really make me look forward to a dd....I love eggplant parmesan but can't make it....I came across some in the frozen section at Publix , it has like 415 calories, so I had that with two teaspoons of slaw..it was wonderful..and worth waiting for since I'm only eating this one time today.

DD is going well. I've had 143 calories so far, and plan on some risotto w/broccoli and asaparagus for dinner. I should have room for dessert. Been cleaning house and doing laundry almost all day which has kept the hungries at bay. They are ba-ack now!

Been a pretty good DD for me today, I'd rate it a 4. Kept to my calories mostly, happy with that. Hungry all day, managed to snack on low cal items to keep the tummy from protesting too much.

Blue Bayou was great. DH had jambalaya and I had crab cakes. I'd say with the ambience and the quality of the meal, it was worth the price, but not EVERY time we go to Disneyland--just once in a while.

On 5:2, you're not supposed to do consecutive DDs, but you can pick whichever days work best for you. I do Tuesday and Friday DDs and the rest UDs. I don't notice any difference in how hard or easy DDs are. I've been maintaining really, really well and easily with 5:2 and couldn't be happier. That being said, however, I ate like a mad woman at Disneland the last 3 days, didn't track but I suspect I was around 3000 calories each day, and my weigh in this morning was not pretty. I'm at 166.2 and my low weight a week or so ago was 161. BUT, I'm also sick with a head/chest cold, and my legs are sore from all the walking, so at least some of that is water weight and should go down pretty quickly. I'm having a DD today and will decide after tomorrow morning's weigh in if I want to do a week of straight JUDDD rotations, or just keep going with 5:2 and see if it comes back off.
