4.5 today, and going to bed early since I was up most of the night with a sick kid last night. Luckily, that means it should stay at a 4.5.

Actually my DD went absolutely perfectly, thank you. I was fully expecting to turn it into an MD, but afraid it would be an UUAAD. Spent the day with a friend who has a friend visiting from out of state...did the mall shopping, casino hopping (4.5 miles logged on the pedometer) and .....buffet dining. OMG I thought for sure I'd cave in to all the great food....but, NO, I didn't. Gotta pat myself on the back, it comes out at about 500 calories, including the shake I had before leaving the house.
Dang! I love this woe..

I'm amazed at how easy it was to get back into the DD after being off the wagon for about 10 days. Still trying to curb my carb-fest UD though.
![]() It's pretty early but I would rate today about a 4. Nothing but coffee so far, will probably have my first meal around 1pm. Lots to do and I always have more energy on DD. |

2:20 - It is early but I'm giving it a 5.
Woke up happy. Woke up energetic. Pulled out storage bins of cool weather clothes. Made a big mess of apartment. Put away strictly summer stuff. Still have clothes everywhere. Did not eat until about 1 which is very unusual. Made a great big pan of stirfried cabbage/onion/rice with CO, PB, tomato, pepper, chicken broth. I like to cook in big pots and pans. Had 1 cup of mixture for very satisfying 117cals. Have tons to do this afternoon and plenty of calories left for later. I haven't experienced the grouchy stuff yet that some of you describe. Haven't even had the blues since starting JUDDD which I sometimes get. Last edited by cici52; 09-12-2012 at 11:35 AM.. |

After a great morning & early afternoon, I've been really hungry the rest of the day.
Lots of energy though, and I got a lot accomplished. |

5 for no hunger
3.5 for feeling yucky from Monday night flu shot. All things considering I had a good deal of energy right up till about 7pm. Then I was grumpy that I still had to go quick grocery shopping. It's almost 9pm which means bed time and snack are soon. Last edited by Carly; 09-12-2012 at 05:56 PM.. |

Way too much time on my hands!
|
Today has been a 4.5, and it's awesome since I've only really had coffee and one small fruit snack. I'm probably at about 100 calories for the day.
I took some konjac granules mixed with zero calorie vitamin water today. It really killed my appetite. I'm excited about having a 400 calorie dinner tonight! |

Proved to myself yesterday that eating breakfast early in the morning makes me hungry all day no matter what I eat!
We went to a restaurant and I ordered a veggie omelet. It was delicious, though I was not hungry I ate it anyway just to be social and enjoy myself. I thought that would be my food for the day. Not so! All I did was obsess about food all day. I had a deli turkey sandwich for lunch and pasta with a cream sauce, veggies and chicken for dinner. I was really fighting the urge to go for dessert after dinner but I resisted the urge. Today is definitely going to be a controlled DD and I'm feeling happy and peaceful about it. So far I give it a 5 but it's only 10:30 in the morning. So far I've had coffee with half and half and now I'm drinking ice water with lemon squeezed in. I'm going to drink lots of water all day long and then have grilled chicken for dinner and that's it!

Today is a much needed DD after yesterday's UUAD. So far I would give it 4. I have a challenge tonight as I have a birthday party to attend and don't have a clue as to what restaurant it is in. I had 300 cal today so far, so I have 200-300 cal left for dinner. I am sure I can get a salad with no dressing or grilled fish. If there is nothing on the menu that I can eat, I will just pretend that I am not feeling well and eat my turkey when I get home. Wish me luck.

Yam Yam- thankfully you resisted the urge to have a dessert. It could have been worst. I am still trying to figure out if I really need breakfast. I am usually hungry in the morning. I think the best is to eat only when you are truly hungry. I know it is not always easy when when socialize.

What I love about JUDD is that I just don't dive in thoughtlessly to a plate of food anymore. I really think about it and make deliberate choices. That way I can own my choices and never feel bad about them. I paid the price for eating breakfast and eating when not hungry yesterday morning. The price was wanting food all day. I proved to myself that it's still true after going for a long time skipping breakfast because it feels right, even on UDs. You are so right! It could have been worse in many ways. I could have had chips or fries with my deli sandwich at lunch. I could have had cookies. They were available. But I didn't. Patting myself on the back for that one! So, now it's 1:20 p.m. and I'm sticking to my DD despite loud bear like growls from my tummy. Probably down to a 4 now on the ratings scale. Hoping to keep on with the iced lemon water so I can stay in control. Last edited by Yam-Yam; 09-13-2012 at 01:21 PM.. |

![]() Yesterday my dinner out turned out good. I ate small salad with a touch of oilve oil and baked cod with peppers and onions. It is hard to judge calories when eating out. I guess I probably ended up with 600-700 cal for the day. |

So far a 4. Spent 5 hours in the car early and have had 2 magic pops and a slice of low fat cheese so far. Feeling pretty good. Will have some crock pot buffalo chicken lettuce wraps for dinner tonight if my DS didn't scarf down the wole bowl of chicken in my absence. That should bring me in under 400 cals for the day.

5+++ I feel awesome today! Went and ran around and 'played' tennis this morning (with a teenager and a preschooler, it's more playing than tennis) and have just been going going going all day long - and I just ate lunch (my latest recipe, 100 calorie hot-dog chili) and I'm still under 200 calories for the day!

About 3pm here, I'd give today a 4 so far. All I've had is coffee and a FF greek yogurt, so about 130 calories. But, I'm supposed to meet friends for drinks later, so I will have to make sure I have some calories for dinner, I cannot drink on an empty stomach. 2 light beers & a eggbeater omelet with a little cheese, hopefully I'll still end up under 600 calories for the day.

Real proud of myself that I went out to lunch with colleague and clients to a REALLY good restaurant, and had a cup of delicious yellow pepper soup with micro greens garnish, and a Bibb lettuce salad with blueberries, almonds and the most wonderful fresh mozzarella-so creamy! Normally I would get their marvelous burger....
Didn't eat the wonderful bread, barely touched the dressing and reduced balsamic. I figure it came to less than 300 cals, mostly from the mozz, and tonight I will just have some summer squash and tomato cooked in some broth or something, since I only have about 20 cals to reach my target of 341. Lately, however, I've not been so obsessive about not going over that amount. I am ok as long as I am under 400. I am a bit concerned if I will get too hungry, but DDs get easier and easier (although I can't say I'm not hungry...), and UDs continue to teeter on the edge. Funny, isn't it...

It's 2:10. I'm giving this day another 5.
Have had nothing but lemon water. That is 20 hours and the longest I have gone so far. My goal is tomorrow morning. But I can change my mind later if I want to. Have been busy with study and shopping and now working to finish a gift project. Have limited my internet time. Having gotten through the first couple weeks of total obsession with reading everything, I can relax a bit. Have been hungry but just observing it instead of focusing on it or planning my next meal. It occurred to me that my toddler greatniece has to fast before each of her frequent surgeries and so I've been reminded that if she can do it, so can I. |

It's almost 10pm here. Today was a scheduled MD, but I've only had about 300 calories. I'm gonna have a bed time snack for 200 maybe 280. I know for some that is DD, but for me it is quite a bit more. I can't wait to eat tomorrow.
