4-5 again today.
11:30 am here.
Drank my first home made chicken broth of the day.
The stuff is sooo good.
I feel like drinking that broth, is almost like I'm cheating, but ain't!
Besides using the bones from rotisserie chicken, I threw in few bay leafs. And of course carrots, onions, lots of water, big pot...LIke I'm cooking! Also a good feeling.

Crappy - annoyed at the scale, annoyed at my co-workers, annoyed at the vendor goodies that keep arriving and that I can't eat. AAAAARGHH!!!
Had a few shrimp and a HB egg so far today - grumph!

It's a UD for me, but I found some chocolate at the grocery store today that is 76% cacoa w/orange and only 28 calories a square. It's made by "Taste of Inspirations" Begium chocolates. I found it at Food Lion which hardly has anything, so you should be able to find it in your supermarket.

So my last DD turned into a MD (the last 500 calories worth of chocolate )

I decided to go back to what I was doing when I first started JUDDD which was my protein waters. 1/2 protein powder scoop in 1 cup of water every 2 hours (around 8-9). Which leads to about 500-550 calories adding in gum, crystal light etc.

Its so great!! I feel no hunger what so ever, just an "empty" feeling. Definitely see how it goes for the evening, but so far my DD is at a 4.5!!!

Ate 2 donuts this morning but I didn't let it destroy my DD. It was early enough (between 7-7:30 AM) that I just decided to fast the rest of the day so I can get myself back under control. Been great. My body just nicely reminded me that I still cannot drink coffee or strong tea on an empty stomach.

Some people take longer and experience it less definitively.
My DDs got easier within a few weeks. And I think it took me a couple of months before it felt like JUDDD was carrying me rather than the other way around.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for your response. I'm really looking forward to it kicking in!!!

My DD so far is about a 4 but I expect it to drop as it's 5:30pm and I've already had over 500. I'll have to have something before going to bed as I worry about bs dropping too much over night. Maybe some chicken broth with some bits of chicken breast. Yea, that'll work!!

A 4. Good day, busy with lots of Christmas prep but not food-related, yay. Hard boiled egg at lunch, veg curry at dinner, a few sneaky potato wedges from the kids but under 500 all the same. Feel a little bloat-y and had to take paracetemol twice for headaches but the hunger & food parts of the day were v manageable, thankfully

A 3? Maybe? Pleased that (so far) I've coped with only 2 SF jello cups and a mug of tea...but I'm about 2L behind on my fluids. Bad news re work. Should've been working to make up for hours lost earlier this week from the storm, but I've been busy sending out my newly-polished resumé. Killer headache, probably mostly due to my dark mood...and dehydration. I'll work on it.

S'good. Bone broth and coffee. This is my second DD with no food and it happened with no intent to do so. I think that broth is magic. Okay, I'll try to stop saying that, now.

Today has been a 5.
Less than 100 calories. Broth and celery sticks after my coffee with HWC for breakfast.
It is dark now si I have it made. Looking forward to eggs for breakfast. My chickens decided to bless me with 7 eggs today. They had been down to one. Molting and too much dark. The light I put out there seems to be working. I have been skipping breakfast but drinking coffee with 1 T HWC.

This DD was the roughest I've had. (I know -- only had 4) but I got so hungry in the evening and I hadn't saved any calories. I made it with only 639 calories so that's ok -- plus dropped 4 ounces!!!!

I have so much to learn and you guys on these board are so awesome and helpful. I know I couldn't do this without you!

Arlene, I remember a horrible number of eary and not so early DDs and UDs during which I finished my cals by noon or 1pm. Holy cliffhangers, Batman. But I didn't die, and my weight continued to drop, and most importantly, I started learning about what food satisfies me, what food backfires, why I want to eat when I'm not the least bit hungry, what hunger feels like, etc., etc. I suspect that learning'll go on for years.
So happy you're here. It does get much easier. Keep coming here for encouragement. You're doing beautifully.

ughhhh the holidays. I have two weeks off (I'm a teacher). I am currently at home, bored with a house full of chocolates and homemade foods and cookies (thank you big greek family).

I am not hungry at all... but all I want to do is eat (mouth hunger)...especially chocolate and cookies....
I going to get out of the house for a bit .. I think that will be the only way to get food out of my head!

Doing a low UD/MD today. Yesterday was supposed to be a DD, turned into upper MD, probably UD. So far have had about 500 calories. I have a egg/bacon/spinach quiche in the oven, so that will be dinner.

Angie, what kind of protein powder do you use? I bought the Lean Shakes by GNC about a month ago, and they do NOT satisfy hunger, IMO. They are also 170 calories, so limited in how many you can have, of course. I was hungry in 1/2 hour after drinking one. Scared to use them much anymore, although DD hunger might not be as bad as it was when I purchased them. I went into GNC with the express idea of getting protein powder for DD's and the clerk practically begged me to try the shakes. Grrrrr!

Aw Rayne.... I'm sorry about your work situation. Hopefully you'll get some great responses from those resumes and start a whole new phase of your work life.

So far, it's a 5 for me today. I've had black coffee and 1 HB egg, and will have 4 more smallish eggs w/mayo and mustard for dinner. Last DD until Wednesday, so I want to make the most of it. Woke up with a headache and slightly achy (a good portion of my calories yesterday/UD were sugar and alcohol ) but that's gone now.

Cindy, The lean shakes are pretty much milk shakes with extra protein in it lol ... plus 30g of carbohydrates are sure to make you hungry soon!! Definitely not a good choice lol.

I use LeanFit Whey Protein from Costco (in the chocolate flavour) -- For 1 scoop its only 120 calories with 25g protein, 1g carb and 2g fat. So realllly good for low carb as well!

The key for me is to drink 1 cup of water with 1/2 scoop of protein powder (60 calories) every 2 hours. No hunger what so ever! --> the only thing I find is the need to want to chew/eat something out of habit.

A 4 so far. A bit hungry and at home with all the temptations but so far (1PM) have fasted. I may have broth with an egg for faux egg drop soup soon to hold me until a TBD but veggie volume filled dinner of sorts later. Shooting for 400 cals today.

A 5 for me. Mid afternoon and I am having my lunch of broth. Wasn't hungry and really am not now. Just wanted something warm to drink. It is a beautiful sunny day but I am freezing so I am getting the DD cold again. Must mean I am losing?
I have plenty of sweets around me today but I am good on DD's. UD's are still my problem.

DD going surprisingly well, I'm pre-making a bunch of dishes for tomorrow and have been fasting all day, not even a bite of anything Haven't even had many hungry feelings yet.
Definite 5 so far, I just keep telling myself tomorrow is my free-for-all!

No, these have only 6 carbs and 3 g of fiber, so really only 3 net carbs. It may be that I could try them again and they may work. I was fairly new to DD when I bought them, so anything would have been difficult. There's also 25g protein, and 6g fat. Really should be ok, other than 170 cals. I think I'll do three of them today and have one meal tonight, aiming for 700 cals total.
