Librarygirl, what kind of shakes are you doing? I had thought about making a shake with my whey protein powder, but I'm not sure if it would be filling enough to justify the calories.

It's my 3rd DD and it is a 3 so far. I was starving by 9am (half an hour ago) so ate approx 130 calories of food with my coffee and unsweetened chocolate almond milk. My day is planned as follows:
B-coffee, unsweetened almond milk (45) 1/2 of an egg white "muffin" thingy, 1/2 of a LC pumpkin Muffin (135) L-Veggie Soup, 3 oz of chicken breast (165) S-Zucchini Chips (75) D- 1 bag of Shirataki noodles with 1 tsp oil and seasonings (100) The above is 525. I plan to go swimming today for some exercise and keep busy on the computer and making gift baskets. It'll feel strange being a Sunday and not cooking up a storm. I save my cooking for UD's! Thankfully it's just DH and I and he is trying JUDDD with me. And, he likes the shirataki noodles! I may order a case online!!

5. No food so far today and just finished a treadmill walk/jog. I am waiting till really hungry to eat anything as the scale was not kind this morning and I desperately need to see a good loss in Dec.

BUT, as for shakes? LG, I enjoy Atkins chocolate shakes when I buy them. They're low cal & just sweet enough! IMHO |

I've already bought a case of these babies, lol. I probably won't invest in any more shakes of any kind for a while.

Improved my day to a 4.5 after eating my zucchini chips.. oh yum!! satisfies the snack-monster in me!!.. Sipping on a small glass of white wine (after all, it is a weekend) ... probably won't have the veggie soup I listed before. Only ate half my chicken lunch so will add that to my dinner. Just the leftovers and the shirataki noodles.
On another note, I ordered two variety samplings of Miracle Noodles from Amazon. 12 bags altogether.. Miracle Rice, Fettucini and Spaghetti. We are going through the tofu/shirataki packages like water over here, so I thought I'd try just the yam noodles without the tofu (no GMO)!! The grocery store I have to go to is 30+ miles away, so this will help keeping them "in stock". And, the ones without tofu are ZERO calories a package versus 40. Geesh, I sure hope they don't find out one day there is something wrong with them - like carcinogens or something! |

I used the Shiritake Noodles a lot, when I started this, less so now but I think they are a real help to those of us who 'like' them.
How is DH getting on with JUDDD Judy? |

I'll give my DD today a 3. Better than my previous DD but still not great. I've not been feeling hungry, just normal food cravings when I get bored. I've had some mood swings but only a few... these aren't unsusual to me anyway because of my depression. In the past 2 ish weeks my anxiety seems to be getting worse and I'm starting to have attacks while at home again... not sure why, will have to keep an eye on it.
Off to bed and already looking forward to my toast in the morning! ![]()

LOL I got so zooomed on black tea last monday, DH threatened to take it away if I ever had that much again! I have to limit the black to 1 normal mug. I can't even IMAGINE me on ACTUAL coffee! ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote:
Do I even need to say it?Men. ![]() I've had really good DDs this week-- solid 4.5-4.99 all the way. I'm finding it best just to not eat till dinner. I'll drink tea or water or whatever. My new thing-- I do like dessert, so instead of a big main dish and a light dessert, today, I had less protein/fat, big stirfry coleslaw w/shirataki thrown in, and then a full serving of 2% greek yogurt with some sweetener, extract for flavor, and a spoon of no-sugar jam on the side. DECADENT and very satisfying. Now I just had a yummy coconut mint (yes, you read that right) tea, and I'm feeling all decadent and luxurious. ![]() Hugs all around! ![]() S. |

Today is my very first DD. So, this should be an experience. I am off on Mondays and Tuesdays, so this being my day off, it's going to be hard to keep my mind off snacking, which I tend to do all day when I'm home. The other thing is that my husband is working out of town right now, and left this morning, which always makes me very anxious and lonely. But, I'm trying not to let that get to me right now and just focus on the positive.
I went to the store early this morning and bought some Atkins shakes along with my regular groceries. Right now, I think that's the easiest way for me to handle the DDs. I'm having a strawberry shake for breakfast at the moment. I'm sipping slowly since I won't be getting anything else for a while. lol Since I'll be home all day, I'll probably be checking this forum periodically for inspiration, along with doing some decorating and cleaning. Hope everyone here has a great day!

Today is a 4ish. I'm sick with a cold and sore throat and am at home today. Tried to drink some instant coffee but it wasn't good to me, counting 10 calories from it. Now eating some fat free cottage cheese with a handfull of raspberries (77).

Good luck with your first DD seaofsand!
Sorry to hear you're sick Librarygirl. Tea is usually the way to go for me on those days, usually a nice cranberry zinger or green tea helps. So far today is a 4...sticking with the no food as long as I can and seeing what it does. Closely monitoring my blood sugar to make sure it doesn't screw things up. |

Hard to rate...but I'll give it a 4.5. Still sick/nauseated, so this DD is a blessing. I've been sipping the same mug of Marco Polo tea (taste reminds me of strawberries and cream) for over an hour...and the thought of any food just turns me off completely. Maybe crackers/jello/soup later.

So far a 5 but the day is young. I've only had my morning mocha so far...still sipping on it. When the tummy rumbles really get to going, I'll have a boiled egg and a bacon. I cooked a chicken in the crock pot yesterday and have all the broth so I'll have raw veggies on hand, then broth and a couple bites of leftover chicken around dinner time and SF jello tonight if I need to put something in my mouth....haha.
To the newbies just starting out....Glad to hear its going well! I'm still surprised that I can actually eat so little, but knowing an UD is next keeps me going. And I do feel so much better. I can feel my sirtuin tank filling up! LOL

The DD that wasn't. Took some cold med, went to sleep, woke up with a fever and ravenous...have eaten sweets, kfc, pimento cheese... sick and tired with no willpower to speak of...finally full though.
No use worrying about it now. Thanks for your kind well wishes. |
