I'm having a hungry DD today as well, even though the one before this was literally off-the-charts wonderful. I know what it is for me though. It's one of my usual pre-ovulation hungry DDs. Blech. Having homemade bone broth with a huge splash of tabasco right now (need that tangy spicyness today), and finally starting to feel more human.

I'm going with a 4 right now. It's been such a busy day at work that I barely noticed not eating. I'm sure once I get home I'll be starving, but I set aside enough calories to have a nice virgin pina colada and I am looking forward to it.

Tired, tired, tired...Blame it on the full moon last night...

You know I am freeeeeezing.... I was on Juddd in the summer and didn't notice how cold you can get on DD's...Alot of peeps on the board were mentioning it... I thought I wouldn't have that problem since I can't stand hot weather and I'm not usually freezing in the winter... But BURRRRRRRR!!!!!

I'm having an easy DD, though I ate my allotted chicken breast, radishes, and 1 hard-boiled egg earlier in the day than usual because I was feeling stressed at work. Fortunately, however, I'm not hungry now, at the end of the work day, and am pretty sure I can make it through until tomorrow's up day with nothing more than some tea and maybe some raw veggies to nosh on if I get hungry again. And if I get cold, I'll take a nice infra-red sauna, since I'm lucky enough to have one of those in my house.

I appreciate having this thread to keep myself accountable and see how others cope with DDs.

An average of 3 for the day, with brief glimpses of 4.

Why is the biological reason that some of you get cold on DD's?? This is only my 2nd and I haven't had the problem yet. When did it start for you if you have this problem?

Anyway, today is my 2nd DD and I was out and busy all day selling my dip mixes at a holiday fair. I brought all my food/drinks with me, and although hungry most of the time, I did find 1/2 hour or hour of comfort after I ate some of the chicken I brought. I found that so far 100 calories of chicken breast does much more to satisfy than 100 calories of anything else - other than shirataki noodles!! Which will be my dinner tonight.

I am sipping on a glass of white wine, which I know will put me over calories a little bit for my DD.. However, being at the beginning of this plan I am already feeling deprived (every other day) so- I don't want to fully deprive myself of my two favorite pleasures - morning coffee and evening glass of wine. It is not lowering my inhibitions so far, so that is good!

Dipgal, I didn't start having DD shivers until at least 6 weeks in, but that may have something to do with living in the desert southwest. I sure have them now, and it's not really even cold here yet. 70s and 80s most days.

I wouldn't call it a five, but it's awfully close..I'm starting to feel the JUDDD magic again...I was off plan for a bit earlier this month and just restarted last week, so that's long enough to revert to the magic. Energetic, emotionally up, I am cold, but blaming that on the wet and soggy day. Got a pair of flannel p.j.'s today and getting ready to hop into them as I'm definitely in for the night.

Discovered a couple of interesting things...turkey breast has fewer calories than chicken breast so can get a bit more bang for the buck. Also, I picked up some Philadelphia cooking cream last week (it was free with my purchase of cream cheese) and it's only 90 calories for a 1/4 cup...I put just a tablespoon on my turkey & broccoli tonight and it was very tasty...so for less than the calories in laughing cow (45) I was able to have a creamier taste and a change of pace.

I think it's because my body is not getting enough fuel and turned the heat down to conserve. A type of survival tool. But unfortunately I have enough fuel stored for a few seasons.

I didn't realize it either... I had 8oz of leftover turkey breast with a 1/4 cup of turkey gravy canned, (the hordes(hoards??) ate my home made gravy).
1/4 cup green peas, and few leftover stuffing cubes...Under 400 calories or so. I guess I'll have to buy a turkey breast now and then.

Seems like a great plan Dipgirl.... though I am sure DH will be disappointed to hear about your inhibitions.

Oh I am so jealous, that sounds divine. No hope of us ever getting that here in the UK I bet.

Oh Mere, we sure did miss you, don't you dare go away again.

I am having a 5+ in spite of having 'full moon night' myself. On a total energy high. Zumba, then frantic house cleaning.

I am having a potato DD too. Forgot to weigh myself though so I won't really know how successful it is. But it is mindlessly easy and that is good.

cold, annoyed that I didn't lose as much as I thought I would after my last DD which was such a good one.

I'll give it a 3.5, just b/c I'm in a lousy mood.

I forgot about the potatoes. i went to the store in search of soup-ables. I won't describe them here, but I'm making a bunch of soup today

I would say a 1 or a 2 today. I have been doing JUDDD 9 weeks and I think this has been my worst DD. I have felt hungry physically and mentally pretty much all day and I've been so grumpy for no reason.

Tough DDs do turn up now and then, but remember tomorrow is another day, and it is an UD.

Enjoy a wonderful Saturday UD with some of your favourite foods, just not toooo much of them. Then you'll face Sunday with strength and determination and a happy mind and body.

And if not, come here for a good moan.

5 so far today! I have gotten sooo much done, running errands. Maybe that's the key to DDs, just stay super busy. So far I've only had a cup of coffee with half n half and I feel fine. About to start baking some cupcakes so I'm sure it'll get me hungry.

Having a 2.5 day. I had 4 T of So Delicious creamer this morning (40); 1 lean shake (170); 1/2 turkey/cheese sandwich (120) and am very hungry again. Thought those shakes might be good, and they do taste good, but do not satisfy my hunger much.

330 cals so far...

Aw Rayne, sorry you're feeling icky. Hope tomorrow is better so you can enjoy your UD.

I see you're from my neck of the woods but moved back east. Too bad you're no longer here, we could go out for a UD lunch and healthy glass of wine!

My DD (#5) is so far a 5. It seems like if I only eat when I truly feel hungry, its easier to stay in my DD cals. So far, anyway.
