I'm going to rate my third DD a 5 because I've stayed on track and not obsessed about food all day.

Knowing I can eat "normal" tomorrow really keeps me going. When my mind wanders to what is calling my name from the kitchen, I just think...nope not until tomorrow!

B - my LC mocha with a splash of HWC 100
L - 1 boiled egg 2 bacon 150
S - baby dill pickle 0 per label
D - 1 c chick broth 3 oz baked chicken 110 (yep i weigh the chicken: )
SF jello with dollop of CoolWhip 35
TOTAL 395 yay!!!!!

Slight downgrade to 3.5. Major stress between work/system issues and repeated interruptions in the house. By this evening I was ravenous, irritable, and it was clear I was going to go over my cal limit. Soup was just not going to be enough. I suspect that, even with last night's pizza, I was under my UD limit yesterday.

B - EAS shake strawberry (100), 2 mugs tea -- one w/1 t half-n-half (12)

L - rice cake (35), light laughing cow (35)

D - leftover chicken bean soup (140), sandwich flat (100), 2 oz braunschweiger (180)

Cals: 602 (between 25%-30% WLM)

5-I came in about 200cal less than I had planned for. Stayed busy all day. Made chili and homemade rolls for meals on UDs this week. 4 loads of laundry. Put up and decorated the Christmas tree. I love days like this!

5 here as well, even with this being a very low DD. Had my one meal at 8pm, and now it's past 9pm here and I don't have any hunger so won't be eating anything else today.

I also had insane energy all day along with that wonderful clear sinus feeling. I finished my checklist of to-do things today way too early so finished my to-do list for tomorrow as well.

My 1st dd. I was a 3 most of the day. Then I had a whole bag of shirataki noodles at 6pm with a tsp of sesame oil and a tbsp of soy sauce..yum -full belly for several hours. Hungry now, but am going to sleep. I ate a tad too much chicken at 5pm..but still consider the day to be a success.

Ending the day on a 4 I'd say.

I thought I'd be starving right now, and all day was dreaming about the lemon ricotta pancakes I'm going to make tomorrow morning. But I'm actually completely fine and not hungry at all. Still happy tomorrow is an UD.

Wow. A 5 I think. A few random hunger pangs, but I didn't eat anything at all until 9pm, and that was after conducting a 90-minute choir rehearsal. I felt ok all the way through.

My UDs need improvement but my DDs are stellar.

Library, I'm sure you've read this, but the spread between UD and DD is a central part of the workings of JUDDD, rather than just the average cals.

Connie is a perfect example of this. She's lost over 70 pounds JUDDDing, without changing her average daily calorie intake at all.

So it's worth trying to keep the spread rather than compensating for higher initial DDs by reducing our UDs.

Just something to consider.

I might need to check out Connie's story. Do you mean she ate just as much at her highest weight on UD's as she did throughout her weight loss (not compensating for lost weight and thereby lower cals for maintenance?)?

Sorry, I'll try to be clearer. Connie (No Weigh?) was eating the same average intake per day before she started JUDDD on a regular calorie restricted diet. She started JUDDDing and, with the same average, but with UDs and DDs, and lost 70 pounds (and counting). Isn't that wild?

Yes it is. So, for instance, if she was eating 1200 cals on a restricted cal diet, she then upped to 1900 with a 500 DD and averaged 1200, but lost more than doing 1200 per day?

My DD is only a 3.5 today. I am fighting my first cold of the year (thank you JUDDD, DH has had acouple of stinkers) so am not feeling 100%.

Gym for Zumba, that went well, however My stomach is yelling at me, made DH laugh it was so load. I take no notice, of course, and it passes. But I've already had a small apple and an egg and it is only just after 2.30.

I'm absolutely starving today. I may not have eaten enough yesterday & burned a lot at the gym.

I was at -2 but then realized I'm in smaller pants today....it balanced out!

Yes, hope your cold has left the building, Cindy!

My DD is going well so far. Never thought I'd say that! So far...

coffee/1T lite cream/butter (95)

dill pickle spear (10)

SF strawberry jello/LC wedge (45)

Subtotal = 150

Dunkin's Large Caramel Lite Latte (160)

Progresso soup - (120)

????

Not sure what I will consume this afternoon...after subtotal of 150, the rest is conjecture...report back later.

Cindy, I hope you feel better soon!

So far, my day is around a 4. No hunger, on my 3rd mug of tea (6)*. Hoping to go til dinner time without eating, and planning on just having steamed broccoli with lemon and maybe a little sprinkle of parm.

*ETA: Just realized the hibiscus in my tea is an appetite suppressant...guess what I'll be drinking on my DDs.

This has been my toughest down day in a long while. Have been tired all day & hungry too. I've been busy but have definitely managed to exceed my calories & my tummy is grumbling still.

I think I'll be having my first JUDDD-related early night in a long time. We had a very disrupted night's sleep last night with our small people, though, so an early night will be welcome. Already dreaming of eggs & chorizo for breakfast. Yum!

I don't usually have very hungry DDs, but today I'm starving! I will do my best to power through though, as I suspect it's due to the antibiotics I'm taking. Grr. I haven't resorted to broth in a while, but I'm thinking that's in my near future.

A 3 for me. Not because of food, but because I have a helluva headache. Rare for me. But I've only had about 150 cals so far, so that's good.

Ugh, sounds like a rough down day for alot of us today! Hugs all around!!!!!

I was really hungry this morning. It's better now that I'm sipping my latte. (I might just go broke buying all these lattes for down days, though!)

Jaylynn, I've been battling a headache today, too. It was even worse yesterday, though! Hope you're better soon!

Hope those with headaches get better soon.

I'm having a 5 day so far. Just about to make it over the afternoon hump, which is usually the most difficult part of the day for me.

coffee, cream (64)
scandinavian bran crisp (12)
boiled egg white only (17)
Total so far today: 93calories

Later, will have lettuce, celery, mango jello and perhaps beef broth

Been busy all day, that helps keep my mind off food. Although I did go into the pantry earlier and check out my supplies for tomorrow ;-)
