I think this just might work!

So, confession time -- when I started JUDDD, I truly believed in my heart of hearts that it really wouldn't work for me. I wanted it to, of course, and I didn't want to bring any negativity to the board by being like "well, this has no chance..." lol... but I just didn't think it would. After all, I've had many past failures, gained weight back, not exactly a spring chicken anymore... not to mention the pcos. Also, it just seemed too easy. It seemed like something I could actually DO, therefore it couldn't work.

Well, I weighed today, and pound #3 has left the building! Even though I'm not even through week #2 yet. I can almost always lose something the first week of a diet -- but to lose the second is the real indicator for me. Looks like all signs are go! So, I just wanted to share -- hope everyone else is enjoying small successes this week as well! Now off to update my stats.

So happy for you!!! I'm down 13 lbs on JUDDD and still not ready to say that it works for me. Hahaha. It's like I need to break that 270 barrier before I will admit it. But I'm hopeful

Woohoo!! My first 2 weeks are over on Saturday, and I've already decided this plan is where I want to be. For the first time in my life, I don't feel restricted--yes, the DDs are tough, but telling myself that I can eat plenty the following day really, really helps!

Glad you're feeling good about JUDDD. I sure am too!

Yay Deen!

I had one of those moments today, too. It was the first time I started feeling a real confidence that this is having an effect. Yesterday I completed my 3rd week JUDDDing. This morning, after a good DD yesterday, I woke up to a new low of 230.8--total of 7.2 lbs gone in three weeks.

The first five pounds I just sort of blew off as potential water weight bouncing. When it moved up to 7 today--even though I know there will likely be a bounce up tomorrow--it started feeling real. It's better than I've been doing on my WW attempts for the last couple of years.

Congrats on pound #3--here's to many more!

Thanks, guys! It's very encouraging to hear that most people seem to like it more, as opposed to less, like most plans, as time goes on. I think it's just hard to get bored when every other day is so flexible.

Marlamp -- our stats are very similar! My highest weight was 252 and I'm now at 227 -- my IDEAL ideal would be around 127 (college weight) -- but I imagine I'll land somewhere around 140-150. Heck, anything in Onederland will be amazing -- lol I have a good feeling about this!

You're right, we're almost twins! Someday I will break out that "highest weight" photo. ::::Jabba the Hutt::::

Yeah, if I get to 150 I'll be DELIRIOUS.

I lost a whole pants size in a week. I don't give a damn WHAT I have lost but I can tell you - that didn't happen on the Hcg plan in a whole week of 500 calorie days. I haven't been able to make a change in my weight since 2009! You are doing it! You WILL WIN! You have a really good tool. I haven't believed that for a long, long time myself!

Go girl!!!!

Omg, Aeroangie -- that's amazing! I would LOVE to get results like that in a week! For me, though, I know it'll be slooooowww... as my body just loves to hold onto its weight...

Marlamp -- ok, I'll make you a deal -- when you break out your fattest-ever photo, I'll break out mine, too! Say, maybe when we get to Onederland -- or even sooner? I'll do it -- even though mine's scaaaary. lol

Me too, Soren!
Usually a month or so into a new diet, I'm researching other options. Now, I'm perfectly happy and not constantly searching for something else (maybe because I'm only dieting HALF the time!).

I would like to chime in with the encouragement - I am one of those people who never manages to lose consistently, always starting over! I have lost a total of 50 pounds since Jan, most of it on JUDDD! I still have loads to lose but it really seems possible for the first time. This is my lowest weight in 12 years - back to pre-pregnancy weight!

I signed up for a research project today which will require me to exercise for 12 weeks - hopefully will help me keep going. I had to be weighed and while I was still the biggest in the room I didn't feel too bad!

Deal.

Mine is just. . . JABBA. . . I should never be allowed to be photographed sitting down.

Lol -- oh, believe me, mine's very Jabba-esque as well. And I'm standing up, so I don't even have the excuse of the "spread" that takes place when we sit down! lol

You ladies are making me laugh. My most hated photo was DH and I seated in a booth at a charming pub when we went to a historic area of a river town. We were having so much fun, and asked the waitress if she'd snap a picture of us. We were smiling broadly and I thought it would be such a sweet reminder of our day. NOT!!!!!!!!!
Just a really good reminder of why I needed to find some help. Badly.

Your story has a very familiar ring to it, I remember coming here and worrying that adding calories every other day would cause a "quick 10-pound gain"! I complained about a "broken metabolism" and said that IF eating the same number of calories averaged over two days would work for me to lose weight, then "that would be magic". Well, I am still here and I confirm that for me JUDDD is MAGIC! So, keep on JUDDing, just keep going. Ignore the bumps, the pauses and simply BELIEVE!

Wishing you much JUDDD magic!

Connie
